Cafard added a topic in Roleplay[EU] SceneryAre you a role-player looking for a warm fireplace feeling ? You want to get some role-play going but you have not earn yet the 17 million silver to spend lavishly in interior design and furnitures? Well, this post was made for you~
A few members of the (tiny yet committed) guild Ocean Tamers, have made an habit of spending their entire wealth in furniture, trophies, carpets and decorative cushions. An expensive hobby, considering no one except themselves ever visit those places. Thus was born the idea of sharing those places with Black Desert's role-playing community, to open their doors to you and whatever stories you want to bring in.
Every set have been thought to be credible, usable and last but not least, pleasurable. Each scenery is provided with a short but substancial background and a screenshot. However, keep in mind that there is no animation or organized role-play sessions by the Ocean Tamers members. You might see us, but some just want to cook, to sleep, to store some items or to watch the world burn. If you meet any of them while visiting they will let you know if they wants to play. Still, the whole stage is yours!
Here begins the list of every furnished public places the guild owns. Keep in mind that with sometimes around 7 millions of silver in furniture or paintings (no joke) and only two hardened decorators the number of places at your disposal is still low.
>> For each place there is a type, a name, an address and the owner's name, this way you can find it easily.
♦ INN: The Fox's Booty / CALPHEON - merchant district – first floor N°1-2 – owner [Sparklesman]
Background- The inn's owner – some guy named Guigne- dwell in the upper floor. Though he frequently visits the inn's part, customers are mainly taken care of by his employees. There are shady rumors about how he managed to acquire the money necessary to establish his new business, talks of private and intimate relationship with the Calpheon nobility are overshadowed by the sinister pirate flag overlooking the main room. To this day nobodies know the extent of Guigne trading activities.
Looking at the mass of the customer, you will see an eclectic society of lesser nobility, ambitious merchants and mannered crooks. The Fox's Booty welcome anyone able to afford its ostentatious liquor, and provide an ideal meeting place to settle deals of dubious legality as long as you behave in a civilized way. One last thing, there is no tougher judge than Guigne when it comes to fashion, his acute personality becoming a stark and cruel inquisitor whenever dressing style is implied.
Pros- You can access the bar and a private lounge (a large couch + 2 seats) where you can sit or lay. There are also other tables and furniture but most of them are ornamental rather than functional.
♦ DRUG HOUSE: Nepenthes - TARIF – n°1-2 – owner [Sparklesman]
Background- If you're a smuggler on his way from Altinova to Epheria, come take a rest from your tedious life in this prized hideout. There, exotic wares and supplies are traded under the cover of a misty smokescreen of incense. Subdued lights, closed windows, amidst some alcohol vapour and hallucinatory fume deals are sealed by a shake of hand ... The place is a temple of depravity quietly overseen by an unsettling elf and his ominous gaze. Neither owner nor manager, she keeps tightly any piece of information she knows.
Pros: There is at your disposal a bar, a small kitchen and a VIP lounge near a window. And if you are struck by the dizzying smoke filling the place, there is no shortage of padded rug and carpet to lay on.
♦ TEA HOUSE- Zerzura VALENCIA – Ancado – n°13 (right door) – owner – [Baal_Shahar]
Background - When Zerzura tea house owner passes by it is only briefly and in an extreme hurry. Once in the place, Ellidyr withdraws in her apartment located at the back of the building, avoiding customers. You might have encountered her when she roamed Calpheon's crowded slums in her ragged clothes. After a fortunate meeting with the mysterious Guigne, the half-elf now runs lucrative activities in Valencia. Money is no longer an issue.
The Zerzura tea house is part of this new thriving business. In a prized spot near the Palace (a calculated investment) it nevertheless offers affordable price to all part of the population. There, are gathered foreign emissary and local booksellers sipping refreshment with a fruit basket before enjoying the small ornamental pool downstairs.
Pros- In the main room the central table and his seats are usable (purple carpet), another at the back of the room. Two seats near a window and a bench. In the backroom are two benches and two seats in the reading corner.
♦ BAR- The Nest EPHERIA - 1st floor- n°2-4 – owner [Baal-Shahar]
Background- By the main entrance is a giant with hair of a blazing red, a stern colossus devoted to the task of keeping the door of this very selective inn. Any unannounced guest better have the golden tongue if he wants to peek inside, as the giant is known for using his muscles more often than his brain.
The Nest regulars customers come from all backgrounds but they share a common sense of business which had brought them here, in what has become a private club for merchants, privateers, collectors and shady dealers. The latest rarities and curios from overseas are the focus of all hassles, money is exchanged, weighted and large amount are credited under the watchful eye of a licensed money lender. Of course a substantial percentage of all deals agreed in the club are paid to the benevolent owner of the club.
Pros- All eight seats are usable, even the money-lender one and there are some bar's furniture.
In a (very) close future:
Study – Valencia (fully furnished – have to find a name and take some screenshot)
For now, we're spending tremendous amount of money to craft outfit. Once this is finished here are ours next planned buildings.
Guild's office – Calpheon
Expensive mansion with three floors -Heidel (cause there is always something worth of spending money for)
