    Ourovoros {Orwen}{Heavy rp-pvp}

Follow the echoes of laughter, and strange music into the inky-black forests of the evening and you may find them. Listen to the disgruntled murmurs of towns folk, complaints of the vagrant traders come again and you may find them. Seek out the rash of missing purses and back ally deals of less-than-legal goods, and you just might see them before they move on, especially if you’re willing to pay.
The Ourovoros Caravan is not known for its’ upstanding citizens or wealthy influential nobles, unless they have something to hide. What it is known for is getting what you want, regardless of things like laws, morals, or even nature. People who seek out the rowdy colorful band of nomadic travelers are after only things they cannot find at a market stall. A rare magical tomb, a fortune telling, an exotic sword, or the vanishing of an abusive husband. These, among others, are the reasons people search out the caravan, if they know where to look.

Called many things, travelers, gypsies, thieves, mystics, and vagrants, members of the band only refer to themselves as Ourovoros. They answer to no one country and follow their own set of rules. To the caravan, life is for the taking and they intend to see it all. As others tire of society or find themselves in trouble with the laws of the land, the company grows and the campfires roar. Traders join up to peddle their goods and hired swords enjoy the wine, food and pay the caravan offers them. Mystics cast out from the cities for their odd practices, secretive ways, and heretical habits find the camp to be an accepting home. Each time society rejects its’ outcast, the caravan grows.
Consider this your invitation. Maybe you have your eye on something you can’t find anywhere else or have something to sell you can’t just peddle from the streets of Calpheon, or even Mediah; maybe there’s a life you need to take or to give; or a place to hide or simply fit in, Ourovoros will provide it, one way or another. Ourovoros Caravan is known for its’ rare goods, rarer services, and above all: discretion.

Ourovoros was created out of the desire for a mature (18+) heavy RP-PvP guild that more than anything is ACTIVE. Our officers and leaders are online more often than not, every single day. If you’re looking for a guild that consistently has: someone to RP with, someone to PvP with, someone to grind with, or someone to run bosses with, every day at least once per day, look no further.
Located on Orwen [na] Calpheon 02, we’re a very close group of friends looking to expand our community. Our roleplay revolves around a travelling trade caravan filled with a colorful cast of characters which for you means that we don’t restrict membership based on morality, alignment, sexuality, religion or anything else you can think of. In addition, because our concept is loose we don’t restrict players by forcing anyone to adhere to any specific guild-based character plotline. Our caravan has included murderers and merchants, priests and prostitutes, vigilantes and vagabonds, mystics, thieves, knights, lords, ladies and everything in between. We only ask that our members stick as closely to in-game lore as possible and respect each other (OOC at least…).

By the way I don't know if this has been pointed out or not but the Fake T5 preorder horse is NOT t5. Look at a true t5's skill list and you will see side step a T5 and up skill, look at the preorder horses list and all skills that require a t5 and up are absent. Is IS in every way only a t3 or t2 horse made to look like a T5, not just in how it breads but also in how it functions and what skills it can even learn.

OK here is a good example of combat in this world and why any real life comparisons are utterly pointless.
Example A: Random wizard casts chain lightning at a warrior and a Valkyrie.

The Valkyrie with her lighter armor moves out of the way and gets a small static shock. The Warrior in his heavy far slower armor fails to move as quickly and his armor conducts said lightning turning him into a crispy critter baked to death inside his own personal iron coffin.
This is not earth, like i said before. The armor styles are based on the creators visions and are modest compared to many other games, not sexist, not "non-functional" and most importantly not your creative rights. If girls want leggings? Go to the suggestion forum to the very well written post about undergarments with leggings. But for all of our sanity stop with the prude "but her privates are exposed!" because they are not and you have NO idea how or how not functional that armor would be in THIS world. (Again, NOT EARTH.)

  7. Aeravel added a post in a topic Sexism Sells?

The OP's entire post is uninformed. There are full length very modest robes and clothing for many of the female classes and very skimpy clothing for men as well. There are more undergarments for females because there are more female classes as well as more options for clothing for a female. The female avatars in this game have MORE OPTIONS then men, they are given favor over the males. More outfits of every sort, more undergarments, more classes. If any one sex had any right to complain its not the females.

This is a world made and created by some one other then yourself, it is not earth, its not created to be tailor fit to any one persons ideals of fashion, beauty, art or modesty. And yes, I am a women who thinks its rubbish like this post that makes people roll there eyes and groan every time anyone even whispers the word feminist.

We need to be able to talk. I'm sure its an oversight from the switch in languages but its quite annoying to explain anything in tiny fragments no less speak in any form of roleplay.
Keep us literate Daum! Help teach the new generation that "U R Fggt, I H8 U!" Is not English, or any language for that matter. Allow us literate people to spread the gift of vocabulary to the masses. Please and thank you.

  10. Aeravel added a post in a topic [RP] A ROLEPLAYING WISHLIST

Suki makes a very good point, even if there was a very basic list of colors (red, white, black, blue, yellow, green, orange, tan- for example) that could be unlocked, crafted, or in some way made obtainable outside of the pearl shop or with a one time price higher then the normal random dyes.
I could not support this list more. We will likely not get much of it but I feel like its a large help to have this information consolidated on behalf of the RP community. Well done Faine, and here is hopping above all we get an RP server or channel.

Well at the moment both groups (I think a large portion are IN both groups.) are leaning in the direction of Orwen. Hopefully it continues that way, I don't much care what server so long as its the same server.

  15. Aeravel added a post in a topic End game PVE?

I think the type of "Dungeon" BDO offers fits its game play style just fine. Its an open world with open caves and bosses and frightening underground mobs that can and will beat you silly, and this is not the only game that uses that particular style. I have been playing MMO's For around 15 years and one MMO that has not failed and uses this system comes to mind, EverQuest. Yes it was more pve based then BDO but that does not change the dungeon design being similar with groups fighting over the most desirable locations within these open world lairs. I know the modern standard is wow due to its huge player base but with out cutting away from that standard every game we play is simply a pale shadow of wow. BDO is, in my humble opinion, a breath of fresh air with both brand new elements, strong incentive to interact with other players, and some hints of nostalgia from games of old. I don't think the contested dungeon layout should change, but rather simply add more of them to provide players something more too do. That said that is exactly what BDO is doing, just not at the "Give it to me now!" pace of the new modern gamer. I too would love to see more content and I think its a good thing for people to discuss, but trying to change the very core style of the game is fruitless. Rather then posts like "be more like X game" Try to challenge yourself to think of some aspect of the game you would like to see and consider a solution as to how it could be fit into a game like BDO with out going against its grain.
Give it time, give the developers a chance to work, and remember constructive criticism goes a lot further to having your voice herd to the people that matter.
