No. I decide to boycott the cash shop, warn everyone else. Move onto another game.

So we starve Kakao of new players until the game has too little population to continue by boycotting. Then it will be shutdown.
And if you think that will not happen, look at Dragon's Prophet, look at RaiderZ. No doubt Archeage will follow.

  6. Seishikin added a post in a topic I'm all for getting a chance to make up for lack of time with real money

Most if not all no-lifers have maxed out their stables/workers/invt/storage/weight/pets/anything that gave them a small advantage. They are perfectly fine with spending the money to be top and whale harder while also playing more.
The problem is when people get bored of the game but potential customers are turned away from the game. Losing players kills a game quickly. Each and every P2W tag is a giant NO to newcomers.
You whales think you are gonna catch up to the no-lifers. What a joke. The game will get more and more empty until its just whales vs whales with a bit of casuals and very inflated prices due to lack of people grinding. Also deflated cash shop prices because everyone left is a whale or cannot afford the items.

I actually supported the insane cash shop prices because I thought this was Daums way to earn their revenue without making the game P2W. How -----ing wrong I was...

  8. Seishikin added a post in a topic Collective attempt at preventing p2w in BDO

The best we can hope for is to make BDo not a choice for newcomers. They wouldnt touch the game while more and more people quit once they realize they have to pay a box price and ridiculous cash shop prices AS WELL AS a p2w mechanics in order to be competitive. AND they have to grind for skill points and levels.
Also, the servers will start getting more empty while whales place more and more money into the system trying to gain an advantage against other whales.
Once a majority of the players are gone, prices for costumes and such will fall flat while rare items will inflate continually. Why? Because nobody is farming the items and gold to purchase cash shop items.
Whales will quit after spending thousands upon thousands, because they have nobody to compete against except other whales who will outwhale them.
This is the perfect exit strategy for Daum Games/Kakao. They get to milk the game as much as possible while closing it so they can focus their team on Bless, in which will they will no doubt attempt the same.
Unless this gets changed, I am out. I will not spend money on a dying game.
Remember: NA is as a society is much more against P2W than Korea/RU, while the servers are also more expensive to maintain in NA/EU due to increased size. What works in Korea may not, and I would rather not waste my time and money to find out.
People know this. But this always happens because whales allow it to happen. Jump ship. I will be posting this to every site every journalist every reddit I see.
Protest P2W. Consumers can make a difference.

Gimme a picture of how much you have spent. I have friends who spent 3k who think this is ridiculous.

Exactly. I spent money with the intention of buying costumes and pets and such, not to buy armor and gear. I would never have spent so much if I knew this was gonna happen.

I am a fat whale too. But I'd rather spend the money on cruises and my SO and friends and family rather than more on the game. I don't want to feel like I have to spend thousands more just to be competitive and have fun in node/sieges.
Yeah I can give up a weekend trip or fancy dinner but that doesn't mean I want to.
This is not whining. This is taking action. Whining gets nowhere. Actively telling any and all shitty gaming journalism website about this cash shop to silver mechanic, as well as dropping the playerbase by not logging into the game is taking action.
