  1. ebonystallion added a post in a topic BDO Party Mode End Game?

I'm confused by the title of the thread I think, because I'm not sure what you're trying to say.

Endgame PvE is already about partying, so what exactly do you mean?

You're probably on the wrong discord.
IHA has the correct Karanda timer, some others don't at all.

  4. ebonystallion added a post in a topic is the Support team working during the holidays ?

That makes tickets get answered slower.... please no. Just don't ever do this under any circumstance because it's going to slow it down for everyone. Please... just don't.

And pokedex explained how the 72hr thing works, can confirm.
It's by the time of your ticket submission, not by when they get to it.

I have a pearl refund request submitted as well and have had some in the past. Don't worry, you're fine.

  7. ebonystallion added a post in a topic Is the game realy doing that bad in KR ?

What point are you trying to make?
It could be possible that KR is doing EXTREMELY well, while our game is just doing well. Personally I find every channel to be way too overcrowded on our servers, but that's just my opinion.
Just because KR has many more crowded channels does not prove that the game is doing poorly in NA/EU.

I don't see info backing the claim that the game is not doing well in NA and EU.

  10. ebonystallion added a post in a topic For me the answer is finally...yes

We have 2 more channels than the 3 separate servers had combined just to remind you.
(And no channels lagged behind or finished late on Karanda)

Personally haven't seen anything dry up. The game is the most alive right now than at any other point from what I can see.
Karanda spawned a few minutes ago for the NA servers, and I took this screenshot about 30 seconds after the server message went out.
Thought I'd share it. This was only the percentage of my channel's population that was willing to sit at this spawn for a period of ~6hrs, which is not a big portion of the playerbase as you may assume. The NA server at the very least (Can't comment on EU) is booming to be honest.

To your first question, yes. The longer it takes to progress, the more money the companies who develop and publish the game will make.
Korean devs/pubs will often times make partnerships with internet cafes, as that's where the majority of Korean PC gaming takes place. People who visit the cafes are charged by time spent there (and often order lots of refreshments too). Like I said earlier, Koreans culturally don't mind grind and actually enjoy it. They're usually very content with it, so all 3 participants in this business are winning.

I have no idea and wouldn't be able to speak about your 2nd question. The only points I've made in this thread about my personal view on the enhancement system are that I personally enjoy it along with the failstack mechanic, find it very easy to progress to full TRI with, and think that getting a few TETs is very achievable once you've built up some silver to sit on.
I'd be indifferent if they changed it, unless those changes made it way too easy. That's my personal opinion.

I did kind of figure you meant less.
In MMOs, they are still very competitively driven. It's different from us, though. While we want good gear to dominate in PvP mainly, Koreans tend to enjoy just having that good gear. They don't really need a reason to use it (or at least not as much as our cultures do). They still want it just as much, if not more than us. You can see this in Korean livestreams if you like to watch BDO on twitch. Very few, if any, of the Korean streams will be showcasing PvP compared to the NA+EU streams. However, most of the time they'll have way better gear (Ofc this can have other reasons too, such as KR's pay-to-win mechanics, earlier game release, etc), but does not take away from the point that they are very driven to achieve gear. It's competitive in the sense that they are going for superior gear to their peers, even if it's not for PvP.
To bring it to a full circle, this is what makes up the legendary "Korean grind".
They're not PvP-driven in most MMOs, though. Obviously this game takes a large time investment to get into the top percentages of players and doing that requires a competitive mindset.
In other words, they're just as competitive as us but for very different reasons.
    You're absolutely correct.

Did I say that all Koreans hate PvP and that no group of Koreans could ever like it? No.
I'm talking about MMOs, and not professional gaming. As I was typing my earlier response I didn't think that I would actually have to clarify that detail considering we're discussing an MMO, but here's that clarification for you if you do truly need it.

I wouldn't say so. KR doesn't give up in video games, again culturally. KR doesn't whine to the extent that we do, and will get their gear regardless of what obstacles are put in between. This is generally speaking of course, because I've played Korean MMOs my entire life (often on their servers too).

    Koreans hate PvP culturally.
This is why the karma system exists, and why most korean game updates are aimed only at PvE.

Way too much for my initial gear (Green awakening, Liverto, etc).
Hardly anything for my BiS gear, because I used the stacks from my initial gear failures.

You know the difference between a TRI and TET weapon is 8 AP, and not 40, right?

    That's just so untrue.

I don't find any of it to be brutal until PEN.
If somebody is going to get PEN, then they better have gone through that brutality. Only a few people have PEN, and I'm fine with them having that.
TET can be rough, but that's the point.
The standard is TRI, which is super easy to achieve.
    I see no issue here.

  22. ebonystallion added a post in a topic THIS BIDDING SYSTEM IS INSANE

What I'm understanding here is that you want to be the only person in the entire game who is allowed to purchase items from the marketplace?

  23. ebonystallion added a post in a topic For me the answer is finally...yes

By strategy I mean the system rewarding people who take the long-term view on progression instead of burning all their investments on instant gratification. It's the ability to channel your bad luck into good luck.
If I was able to get 60+ fail stacks on all characters using a +12 piece of gear which has a negligible repair cost, I would be ecstatic. People pay upwards of 500 mil and still have trouble achieving a stack of 60.

  24. ebonystallion added a post in a topic For me the answer is finally...yes

I personally really enjoy the enhancement system. Fail stacking adds an awesome aspect of strategy to the RNG, and helps to make sure that no failure is every a complete loss (except for those past the PEN cap, which is an amount of people I can probably fit on one hand).

The only thing I would change would be to let accessory failures at DUO/TRI/TET/PEN provide more fail stacks than 1.

I love the enhancement in this game, especially because it's much lighter on RNG compared to most other asian games I've played throughout my life.
