If all you guys want is the 30% reduction on the tax, you SHOULD BE ASKING FOR THE REDUCTION PERIOD.

It's a buy to play game, not free to play.

Demand what you paid for damnit.

I think they're saying that the package basically amounts to a premium subscription.  This is no different than what free to play games offer.

Daum sold us on a buy to play game and said no cash shop advantages, this isn't keeping with the monetization that you guys said you were going with for our market.

If the advantage from the item is such that you would be foolish to not use it, than it's the exact same thing as a premium subscription in a free to play game.

I'm coming from a game that is literally another version of this game, that uses the exact same monetization but without the initial box fee.

I quit Archeage because there weren't enough people to do the sieges.  This game requires way more people for the node wars than AA did, and it has fewer people playing.

We need more people coming in, not going out, and this doesn't bring people into the game.

Just because you like it doesn't make it good for the overall game.

Yes, because that's going to keep a robust pvp population around to make the sieges viable, just like it worked for Archeage.

I'm sure Daum doesn't care if the only people playing are Barbie enthusiasts.  It's not like they're running a pvp tournament at a gaming convention.

I was playing rift when it switched over, they are completely different situations that have no relevance what-so-ever.

They do not need to sell advantage in the cash shop to make money.  They keep bragging about the box sales, this is why they chose to do this.

This is very simply, corporate greed.  They were not hurting, they just want more.  Have you seen their gamescom setup?!  They were not hurting for money.

I don't think they're looking as much at feedback as they will sales numbers.

They're looking at how many of the people who didn't know they got one for free, saw it on the market and purchased it.
This is literally the same monetization as Archeage.  I quit that game because there weren't enough people to do sieges.

It's not a minor buff, it's a huge buff for a competitive pvp game.

If the game released as a free to play game, with this item, I'd have been paying for it.

It was sold to me as a buy to play game with no cash shop advantage.

"you can't take personal experiences and apply it to make a norm."....just because you don't mind doesn't make it ok.

    Yes, it is sustainable.

They're taking advantage of their market.  I was spending a couple hundred a month, I'm now spending nothing.

Shitting on consumers is not the most profitable business model.

Advantage based cash shops having nothing to do with playstyle.

You not minding it doesn't have anything to do with how they marketed the game during beta.

As a buy to play with no advantage based items in the cash shop for that box fee.

    Or...

They give us the buy to play game they said they were.  The one that takes the advantage based items out of the cash shop for a box fee, like they said.

Shut up.  Some of us were probably spending more than you were on the game and are pissed about the value pack.

It's got nothing to do with the money for some of us, it's them not keeping their word.

They put the box price on the game because they said they were removing the advantages from the cash shop in our version, and instead put in what amounts to a premium subscription less than 6 months later.

You're parents money isn't income either.  Write like you have an education if you want people to believe you're an adult with an income.

It's a competitive pvp game, they're even running a tournament at gamescom to show the game off.

An entire aspect of the game is your guild making more silver than the guilds you're competing with.

This is not a minor thing, it's a huge advantage in a competitive pvp game where every little advantage matters.  It's why it was a big deal in beta that this shit didn't get added to the game!

The tax amounted to near 40m silver I lost per day on the market, sometimes considerably more.  I can make upwards of 70-80m silver per day after the tax was counted, now add 30%.

In a pvp game that is all about making silver to progress, that's insignificant, right?
