  1. PsiGhost added a post in a topic NEW PC ?? Any tips for a build?

No, even if you dont plan on doing heavy stuff like content creation or streaming in good quality the i5s are bad value compared to the R5 1600. And OP said he wants to do streaming, so that's pretty self-explanatory. Also the AM4 platform is planned to last atleast 4 years, so he could upgrade his cpu easily in the future, while with an i5 he would be stuck with it or has to buy an used i7.
Look, i worked on a 34 min film for school last week:
and it was a -----ing pain in the ass, because my i5-6400 could only do full res playback (EDIT: 4k25fps footage) for like 4 secs before it crapped itself. Now add basic stuff like color grading, warp-stabilizer and denoiser and you gonna spend the whole time waiting for stuff to finish instead of editing. What i'm trying to say is that i5s have bad value, because as soon as they get properly utilized, they run out steam. Same with open world games and also bdo when going into cities or doing bossfights with effects on

Looks good to me! i5s are useless pieces of shit now (I have an i5-6400), so your build is on point in my opinion!
EDIT: GTX 1070 would be faster than the RX 580, so if you can afford that jump it's a nobrainer to me. Well, unless you already have a FreeSync monitor or plan to buy one, then i would wait for AMD Vega which should come out in may

You used comic sans... that alone qualifies for a life time ban from the internet

"May only contain Black Desert Online original music"
    1. What does "May" exactly mean in this context? I mean, if someone makes a fantastic trailer and the third-party music absolutly nails the vibe/emotion/epicness, then why can't Kakao do their part of the job and get their hands on the right contracts with the publisher?
    2. Is color grading allowed? It's an crucial step to create the intended atmosphere, but one could make the point that it wouldn't portray the game as it is.
EDIT: 3. "The videos cannot contain any text.." So no title cards like "Addictive action combat system" or "Breathtaking visuals" with example afterwards?
Other than that, I'd love to make an awesome trailer, but you should atleast offer an unique title for every serious entry.

RX 570 8GB (if you can find one) or 580 GB should be plenty. I have a GTX 1060, which is also fine, but I dont recommend it over the 570/580. You simply get more for your money on the AMD side

yep, since you are going to do multitasking, the 1700 should have way more headroom. Also as you said, AM4 has a better upgrade path because it's here to last atleast 4 years.
Also this should highlight how much power Ryzen has: https://www.reddit.com/r/Amd/comments/65dycj/power_of_ryzen_playing_gta_online_60_fps_while/

Thanks, thats already much better than the usual "hurr durr survur iz crup".
We can only guess what these proxies do. IPv4 Tunnels? Rerouting in order to prevent overload in certain areas? Something like Cloudflare for load balancing? heck, this is the USA. These proxies could be placed by the NSA so they can analyze the data for whatever reason.
hmm what we could do is spam kakao's server provider with messages, telling them that they offer a bad service and that our publisher cant fix it.
huh? yes they did back then for a few months after launch. Not denying that. But for one month before DK release I was doing as many bosses as possible on a daily basis. Cant remember any bad experiences regarding the networking side and the interaction with bosses. EDIT: sorry cant do pvp cuz my gear is crap (i live the duo life)

nonono. You said i should stay out of this because i'm playing on the EU server. But I was confused because the other guy said that EU servers are also shit. Also where the hell did I gave network solutions? Those few were the most basic questions for a theoretical study that we could conduct as a community in order to find out where the problem really lies and also to offer the network guys at PA/kakao a valuable chest filled with usable data.

Black desert doesnt use a skybox and instead runs a quite intensive pass in the rendering pipeline to determine where and how much sky is covering your screen. Then it calculates the right angle from your perspective to the sky texture and draws the result onto the current frame.  Basically what this means is that the whole map is used, or atleast after a certain distance it will be replaced by an extremly low quality terrain. It's actually impressive that they have managed to keep a high draw distance with decent performance without making the game size too "big".
But what I think you mean is phasing. Yes that would work in cities, but would also kind of hide the true amount of players. It's still impressive if you choose a random channel and go to heidel and see all the (afk lul) players.
    Yes i'm playing on EU

well, I can only speak from experience. Other than that, i've collected somewhat usable knowledge about networking over the years (which is like sub 1% of the whole networking area). But it's enough to give me an understanding how complicated all this networking stuff is, especially when it comes to game networking. That's why I have a more down to earth opinion about this, but especially because my own experience was good 99% of the time since I started. The only time I really experienced how the server fell down on it's knees was during the anniversary event, when they forced the whole playerbase onto 6 channels. But aside from the connection queue, the fight itself was ok. Boss rarely teleported around, same with other players.
Still a lot better than being an ignorant fool and keep repeating the same "HURR DURR SURVUR IS CREP" from the same people that are spamming it everywhere again and again and again. This is almost literally fake news. Making statements and depicting them as truth without any evidence or data to backup.

Well i play on EU Server. Playing the game since CBT1 and recently a lot more (3-6+h) because of DK awakening. Never had any issues, not even during prime time last weekend. Guild mates also dont have issues.
So you cant say that the servers are shit the same way i cant say that they are fine. There are way too many possible points of failure between the server and your client. We would have to conduct a large scale test to prove something. But that can reveal itself to be quite difficult to do. It already starts with the test samples itself: direct cable connection to router? Updated network drivers? Optimal network card settings? Optimal router settings? No other applications using the connection running in the background? No other people connected to the router? Full true speed of the connection aviable in other applications and during the tests? And it goes on and on and on.

are you sure? The article is about felonious throttling from servers to ISP, not from your ISP to your end
