  1. Hello BDO Team~
Congratulations on the one year anniversary first off. I was happy to be there when the game launched, and I've throughly enjoyed my experience in the game for its many aspects and flavors. I particularly enjoy the multiple directions your character can take, without being forced on railings to progress through the game.
With that being said, there is a second anniversary this date marks, and it's not a happy one...
It's been a year now that I've been trying to breed my horses to get the Tier 2 type D horse. Yes, the brown and white one. This one.

The first months I was really just less lucky than others, I could see this horse around and I knew other people were getting it. But as you added more and more updates that boosted the breeding results for higher tier horses (high tier horses is what the majority of people want, and I accept that, it's okay), this horse got more and more rare to see, nevermind obtain.
This only got worse in October when wild horses were no longer a static Level 1. Now I have not only to selectively hunt for T1 horses, but I have to pray that they're less than level 5, because any couple of T1 parents above level 4 will net me a T3 foal instead.
Not that it seems to matter though since all I've been getting in this year of playing was countless T2 Type C foals. What happened to the T2D one? Why is it so rare compared to its counterpart?
I thought I was doing something wrong with the breeding, but I've literally tried everything now. Breeding Beginner Horses (from the stable) with wild T1 or T2 mares, breeding just wild T1s with each other... Breeding T2s with each other is out of the equation now because they will give me a T3 foal even if they were both level 1.
I'm at a real loss, but all I know is that it shouldn't take this long to obtain a tier 2 horse.
As I see people asking for MORE breeding result boosting and I dread that I may never get a hold of this horse (I check the market everyday and I never see one, so I'm sure it's not just me...), I'm here to kindly ask to please add this horse to the list of wild horses that spawn out there. It'd make collectors happy without depriving other people of their beloved horse breeding boosts if that's what they really want.
The T3A and T3B also seem to be rare from what I've read (I'm not so sure, I think I see plenty of them around, and I've never really tried to get them since I'm still stuck on trying to get a T2 I want. But any T3 that I got on accident was the F type with the braided tail...), so maybe those could be added too. I don't know, but the T2D definitely needs help to make a comeback. Right now it's become a myth.
  2. Hallo Zusammen!

  3. Post on Breeding Question in General

    By LotusInugami, posted
I currently have a Tier 1 Male and a Tier 3 Female both with no breeding attempts. I'm wondering what is a good level to train them to to have a chance at breeding a Tier 4 horse, any input is appreciated. Thank You! ^-^
  4. So I registered my male horse for breeding and when i try to breed my female horse with my male horse it says "not enough stamina". Now obviously i know that horses need full stamina to breed, but my female horse DOES have full stamina... When i take my horse out of thestable and hover over the stamina bar it says 14,704/14,704, but when i check it into the stable it says 14,704/15,704 stamina. I've tried feeding it more carrots at full stamina but it wont go above 14,704 so I'm stuck with a level 30 horse that can't breed.

Also forgot to mention that my horse is full health out of the stable, but its not full health when in the stable. And i've exited the game and nothing changed.
So...it's because the horse was wearing a broken saddle
I equipped it like a year ago so I forgot what saddles even do and I was so used to it being on my horse that I forgot it existed lol.
  5. Hey BDO-Community,
at the recent Halloween Event I bought a couple of the Halloween-Pets.
    The Results:
    T4 with 3% Combat Exp, 3% Gathering Exp & Luck +1
    T4 with 3% Gathering Exp, 3% Training Exp & Gathering +1
    T3 with 3% Combat Exp & 3% Gathering Exp
I dont need T3's anymore but as you can see the T3 has Combat Exp and the T4 has Trash Skills.
And since Halloween Pets can only be bred with eachother and no other Pets I was thinking of breeding the T4 with Trash Skills & the T3 with the option to keep the Combat Exp.
So I'd like to know if the outcome is 100% T4 or can the offspring be T3?
  6. Post on Question about pets in General

    By Joshy88, posted
I did a quick search on google but I didn't find anything about this.
If I breed two different dogs together, which one of them will become the offspring? I bought a eh... Helter Skelter Ceros I think (The cerberus dog pet) and I won't be able to buy another one before it disappears from the cash shop, so if I breed it with, let's say a snow wolf dog, is there a chance that the offspring will be a snow wolf dog? If yes, is there a way to get my cerberus dog back?
  7. Well, I have just started the game, but I have been spending most of my time breeding horses. I didn't bother tracking them in the beginning, but now I'm thinking it would be a neat quality of life adjustment to include some form of pedigree of your horses. The only stats really needed would be which tier, gender, level parents were bred at, and coat color the horse was going back two or three generations.
  8. I have quit a month after this post:

And now my friends are calling me back, the only thing I really liked is Breeding horses, but is too frustrating, and now I want to know, how "fair" is the Breeding system since my last post(6 month)?
  9. So. i just bought and used a coupon named on the title. my quesiton is. what does this do. i forgot to see if any of the horse stats changed.
    my question is.
does this change the breeding collor and speed, turn etc,,,etc,,, on my horse?
    my horse was.
    Tier 8
    Collor: R2 B3 W4.
Now my horse is all white.
Is it just a skin over the original collors?
  10. Hi BDO,
i've been doing stuff with horses for a week now and i noticed there are almost never any horses on either the horse market or the breeding market...
I think that it would be nice if bdo make a system or a npc who puts horses on both to keep it alive till the players are gonna sell they're horses themselve.
please lets us hear from you on this matter
  11. Been away for a few months so I was wondering how the patches have affected breeding and taming since then. Too lazy to look it up so might as well ask. ^^
Back when I quit we could only tame t1 and t2 horses, there were only 3 t7s that were possible to breed and people claimed you needed specific colors to do so.
Was wondering if they finally released the rest of the T7s as well as T8s and if they also need specific color combinations (or if the whole color theory thing has been debunked). Oh and what is the highest tier that can be caught now? I have a bunch of t3s and t4s cluttering up my stables so if we can actually catch t5s like in Korea now I could finally kick em out. ^^
    I. Suggestions to make game More User Friendly & Fun
Never call something a reward that you would not want yourself for it does not sell or just takes up Inv space,(Stack ALL item drops).
'Reason for need' example: A game should make you feel good not one letdown after the other. I have bought in real cash all the weight things but still find myself changing to weight adding armor in the middle of doing quest as well as running back and forth to town and/or wagon. THIS CAN BE DEPRESING when trying to see how fast one can level or win tokens for an event. Too much time juggling weight and space wasting items. Do not get me wrong I love the money for selling drops but then I spent hours running around to the correct NPCs to sell them all only to discover I have to figure out a way to handle the weight gain for them to trade it. Changing EVERYTHING to sell to any general store would be an AWESOME help.
Add and/or remove code so RNG is more player friendly. Tip the scales to the player. Shorten the window for cool drops. Exp: A Witch earring is cool and the value would still be there with more drops as we would just combined them more; trying to upgrade rather than adding so many to the Auction House.
Please add the choice to ride a horse off your wagon so one does not have to cross country to change from wagon to horse, for even after buying stable room, few have more than one stable with enough room to put the wagon in and heaven forbid if you can not but the wagon in for a colt was born and named before putting away the wagon.. This can be programmed by copying then changing the code from your stable. It would be so cool to ride wagon for the inv/weight space, then ride a horse back and forth to the wagon.
Please move all NPCs that are next to major NPCs so one does not keep clicking the wrong NPC so easily. It is so bad around some NPCs I had to get more coffee to try to wake up and wear my glasses, lol. Not a biggie but helps if like me you have bad eyes, clumsy, or just a bad typist, to be honest I hate moving my character so much just to talk, I like running in and running out.
Add EVENT things to (ALL peoples favorite thing to do) next time, like cooking;; just a little program change adding chance to get a reward instead of one of the odd dish rewards. And every so many miles a chance for a bag if all you do is level and breed horses. Horse breeders are already left out of so many things like a loosing gambler rolling that dice one more time we have trouble stopping to do something else; for we want to level and see what we get next expecting a winning colt this time.
Stop the wall that kicks one off wagon and or horse or give us a reward each time to replace time lost and at times horse lost. I sent you photos of where it happens already but can resend if you need.
REDUCE lag by moving all horse levelers to a separate sever the way GW2 does parts of their game then : Add an inside mini game where your horses just race around a track and each mini game starts at certain times like the GW2 bird races and we can level and watch our horses race each other. That would be more fun than the other race you have for we do it as we level the horses and watch our own horses race each other not other people. Horse and wagons on the same track as we level our wagons and horse shoes to go faster that means money for you.
Add experience and other important stats in the chat so we see how much experience and what not we get for each monster kill as we test out different equipment. When games give players some programming control there is a reason behind it being the first thing we get/ask for . When I program I add it as a UI window option.
Give us a separate equipment inventory so we have room to change equipment for what we are doing. FFXI had that to protection and you changed equipment even during a battle using macros for some equipment needed to be changed out as you switched staffs etc. Fun things like that had me playing that game for years until I caught a FFXI employee stealing characters to rob their bank and inventory.
II. Explanation of reasoning behind suggestions.
Job Change: Program Monti Carlo slot machines To Programming Games
    Black Desert Ringer Gremlin
I had had a few depressing weeks when the Black Desert Ringer Gremlin, (GM Dave come to mind? http://bannable-offenses.blogspot.com/2006_04_01_archive.html) seemed to play games with me but today I was protected for I had a special day planned.
It was not going to be a reg day for today when I jumped from bed to desk, I knew when I started Black desert Online I would rush to the barn and see a new colt! A colt that would be special for I had spent months catching and training horses. I still had some T4s level 25 to 30 to decide how to combine but I at last I had a barn of T5s level 25 – 30 another barn of T6.
I had gone to bed the night before almost ready to turn into the German boy slamming his key board around as his game went nuclear, http://knowyourmeme.com/memes/angry-german-kid-keyboard-crasher. I will not go into all that had gone wrong that day ..........
.....I clicked the receive colt button and …...How the hell-o did I get that from.....
Ok I knew T5 J (http://imgur.com/a/DaeiQ) did not look special but she was a purebred black and bred to muscle man T5N both at level 25 I was hoping for T6 A...... at the least T6 G-U minus the T6 L&M. ….. I got the T6 L?
Does T6L have duplicates in the random spin? I now have 3 of these guys! Ok, one of them I think my mare was deleveled in points after that hog took off one of her legs and this T5 Solid Black mare does not look as good as the T5L solid black mare but ….. Perhaps two of them combined will give me the cute white cat.
After some leveling of my Tamer I jumped on my wagon to top all my horses to level 30. I use the
Offspring Table (http://www.blackd.de/horse/) but so many hidden factors maybe topping these babies up will ….. Man what I would pay for the real breeding equation...(Caught rambling I AM NOT a second voice in the head of Rand al'Thor 'of The Wheel Of Time but if I keep leveling horses I may end up with my own second voice as my head already hurts and spins.)
I am beginning to think I need a bigger barn to put more quarters in this Casino Slot machine programming. (By the way did you know you have better chances to win with a Las Vegas slot machine than a slot machine in Monti Carlo? I kid you not I tested them myself. I am beginning to think the guys that programmed in Monti Carlo now program games.)
Ok, on the wagon, AFK, I came back after a few hours and no leveling for the loop I had watched before I left now had changed at one end and my wagon was on a fence. No experience from the horses running but I did notice the life on the wagon was spinning faster than ever.
I was not going to let this get me down …....I restarted the loop....came back had not leveled much for my wagon hit the Black Desert Ringer Gremlin Wall. I was no longer on the wagon but nothing had attacked the wagon like killing my poor horse last week so I leaped onto the wagon and rushed back to the barn.
I decided I should change from wagon to horse before bed for it has less chance of hanging up at the end of the loop. Plenty of carrots, auto eat carrots checked, what could go wrong..............
A few hours latter I woke up, looked at the PC screen, Little Zip, (from Texas King Ranch!!) did not level much she hit the wall and I was no longer on her. I reset everything too sleepy to remember that wall resets auto eat carrots.... SEVERAL hours latter I awoke; Little Zip still moving BUT not much leveling for she is walking slower than a foundered horse in 2 foot of mud. OMG I need to level how many horses!!??##@@##

  13. Pferdezucht in BDO
Wofür bekommt man EXP?
  14. Sup guys?
I`m in middle of big dilema for my afk time in BDO.
My work have some weird schedule : i work 4 days and i have 4 days rest after that.
On my working days i have not more than 2 to 3 hours free and most of the time i dont spend them activly playing BDO. This means every 4 days i have 4 days AFKing in the game.
I started breeding horses  asap i start to play the game because i had little experience from RU server and i knew i will need fast horse. I got good luck and from my 1st tier 6 i got insta acce + drift horse which is enought for me.
Now my dilema is should i continue to breed horses or start AFK fishing. Which one makes more silver ? Do you even manage to sell your horses if they are not fast? Is it optimal to AFK fishing if you can look at your game twice a day for 15-20 minutes?
Tnx in advance for everyone who respond.
  15. Today I wanted to breed a horse, but accidentally registered a wrong one in the breeding market. I took it out, and I was surprised to see that I cannot register an other one for 6 hours. Why is this restriction in the game? I think it should be fixed like this: the timer will NOT start when registering the horse on the market, but when the actual breeding is started with the registered horse (either by me, or someone else in case of public registration). This way, the timer won't start if you do absolute nothing with the horse except registration. You could take out the horse if you accidentally registered a wrong horse, and put in the right one without delay. However, if a breeding actually happens, the colldown would be still initiated.
  16. Please add a "rare drop" to the horse breeding system when you click to receive the foal, of twins being born. This is a rare event in real life, so why not add it as a rare event in BDO as well with a message similar to the T7's fine horse has been born message, "Twin foals have been born at <name>'s stable!" and maybe even a title/knowledge to be gained from it happening.
  17. We no longer rent cable boxes we bought our own so cable now charges for band uses   which includes watching shows like HBO SUBSCRIPTION, (notice subscription have paid for it), but now one pays again for the band usage including paying for commercials for they use band width as well, run you pc 24/7 with a series on and OMG.
You are turning this game into that. I mean rent any color for  month, paint for a month?##@@?? Not to mention other things you need like inv, storage space. Weight so you can carry money to repair????
Why be so greedy? Charge $15 a month and lets us have this other crap after a little work. We have all left games after we no longer thought buying the stuff was worth it and some new game has came out.
But there are those that do not get out in time like a friend who had his own company so spent $300 a week in game for better and better gear. 'Why not, he could afford it?'  Well, he got cancer, lost his company and moved to live with his son as he no longer could afford a home.
He did not have to worry long about wasted money in games for he died but we are not all as lucky as he.
  18. Post on Horse Breed Bug? in In-Game Bugs

    By Ryuukan, posted
I bought a tier 4 from the market with no breed attempts left but it was able to be reset. I bought the reset and used it on the horse but am unable to actually breed it now and the breed count is at 1. I've sent two tickets but those take awhile. I actually bought another tier 4 and did it again just to see if it was only for that one that it was maybe bugged. But no I have the same results and am unable to breed both that have had there counts reset
  19. Not only is it a mather of luck its also a mather of time and cash when it comes to breeding horses.
After countless hours of leveling and breeding trying to get a fast T7 i got myself a fast T6 that can keep up with the T7 Horses and i was really happy.
Until i saw the first skill the Horse got when born.

Like why can we not change the first skill the horse get?
Please Daum take my Money and let me Change the First Skill.

Anybody else here that was lucky and unlucky at the same moment with Horses?
  20. Post on "Swedish" breeding? in General

    By Dramba, posted
Just wanted to share with you what a nice Swedish family we have here
This glitch popped up this morning. I am pretty sure seasoned players already seen it but I can't stop laughing anyway.
The one at the very bottom supposed to be grayed - its in another stables.
Sorry for repeat if it is
  21. I've played BDO since a few month now (early February) - the longest I've been in a MMO in the last 3 years I think. Growing older and having job and private life changed my play-focus a lot and I tend to stick to "stationary" gameplay now (socializing, crafting, trading, decorating). Basically the opposite of the "be a nomadic hero who roams the lands in search for new places and monsters". Which most MMO's don't exactly support. In my opinion I'm very likely not the only person with that interest, think about the massive success of games like Sims or Farmville for example.
BDO has captured best for what I seek with its local farming and "blended" housing. I have plenty to do - for a while at least - without being forced to move. I can make some place my home, grow crops, cook food, breed animals, decorate my residence - and do quests there. I don't have to do PvP, can avoid the warfare in channel 2 fully. And I'm online, share experiences with friends, which very much matters to me. And as someone with limited play time availability and irregular play schedules I don't loose my home to hardcore player or have to compete with campers as I had to in ArcheAge.
But after several month of play I'm now reaching the point of "have to move on or nothing left to be done anymore - besides repetitive grind". Which I find very sad and frustrating. I've obtained most seeds suitable for the area and bred them to special/top status. I can't cook with constantly having to run to a vendor, can't even make bottles, wells are non-functional so despite being next to a well I have to run to river for everything and the bottle is just consumed. I'm ok with money thinks but this is plain irritating. I can harvest olives - but I can't make olive oil it seems? So no cooking with olive oil - but olives are vegetable. I can't improve any ingredients, can't make new dishes or spent time improving their potency. Things fail or work. Very boring. How about some more complex crafting as Vanguard had or EQ2 or even A Tale in the Desert?
I'm not very interested in horse breeding as there is no random combinations so I can't try for my favorite color scheme and still have the best possible stats. Nevertheless I've started looking into it but it turns out it is mostly a thing of grinding training, waiting for the breed to happen. Rinse and repeat. My donkeys, which I love, are worthless pretty much, just taking up space. Dead end, no breeding or such. I'd love to be able to make racing donkeys (what about mules ?) and if the "this color, this stats" system was removed from the mount breeding.
My flute is only good for the repetitive daily it turns out, won't tame animals - so I can't tame/catch pets and breed them. I'd love to bird breed for example.
There are so many interesting personalities and story starter in areas, could you expand them, make them more dynamic maybe? Have mobs attack, have bandits in towns at night one has to hunt, get rid of rat infestations, help decorate people's (NPC) houses. Whatever makes if broader/more complex.
The social interaction is pretty much zero. There is no point really of being in a guild except for trying for a guild hall or warfare. If you are not into PvP ... there is no interaction in trade, no crafting focus. I put things into an anonymous auction house for quite pre-defined prices and that is that. My guild does scroll runs and missions to gain guild funds for a guild house they have to compete in auction for every week to retain it. No incentive to experience things together, just money grind while we happen to be in the same chat channel and pour money into the same pot. I can't sell items to someone else, I can't open a shop in my home. No reason for anyone to visit my home at all except briefly look at the decoration and - from what I read here - to get their innuendo or more on in "roleplay" (I think I've gotten old, when I did roleplay way back then it meant something different lol). And there is rather little I can do with my home because the items can't be stacked or fine-tune turned or overlap with each other. I have these decorative stands for example and can't even put anything on those. There are these beautiful tulip lamps grown by farming - but I can't modify them by breeding or such.
So ... I'm not trying to complain or whine but point out that BDO has a unique approach to things which in my opinion allows it to cater toward a market/audience that is mostly untapped currently or like me will burn out on the main game structure (move on and "adventure further") - if there is not something done to deepen this "stationary" gameplay. Maybe Pearl Abyss with the RPG background isn't keen on trying to make a deeper "BDO Sims/Farmville" style game. But I think it would be an utter pity to waste what is there and with Valencia soon ready not start focusing more on the ... carebear potato farmer clientele?
  22. So like a couple of others posted in replies to feedback topics, I noticed when I remotely recovered a horse it reset the hp from max to 1 and counted it as a death.  The horse was in a safe zone in Valia and was recovered to Valia stables.   It had been at max health immediately before the recovery and was at 1 hp after.  It also increased the death count from 0 to 1.  This shouldn't happen.

not sure if this is correct? I could've sword that the male had 2 breeding attempts not too long ago and I haven't bred this horse or put it up on the breeding market. Is this a glitch? or does the T5 male from the preorder pack only have one breeding attempt?
  24. So I've been breeding many more horses lately, and I remember that there was a 6 hour cooldown after each breeding. I don't seem to have that cooldown anymore. I've asked guildmates, they seem to still have the 6 hour wait, I haven't read anywhere that training rank(mines Artisan 9) would reduce wait time. Anyone else in the higher ranks noticing the same thing?
