  1. Hello I have a problem. Few days ago on my account popped up CBT2 Triathlon Reward
    Issued date 03/16/16 10:00
    Updated date 03/17/16 17:17
I tried to receive it (right server etc) but nothing came to my mail box in few days. Seems like "received" the gift but i didnt get it. Did anyone else have the same problem? Should i report this as a bug, where to report it? there is no such an option in report bug page. (I received one cbt2 package 03/11/16 20:28 but this on is like second package)
  2. The Pearl Shop featured numerous Earrings and Eye Glasses during CBT2, specifically an Eye Patch for Warrior and some Fang Earrings. Now on launch the Pearl Shop is missing 80% of these, and each glass only has one selection of ridiculous looking glasses.

Hey, this may have already been answered but In the claim page I can't see my fishing tournament title. How do I claim my title? thank you

  4. I see 4 issues with this game already
1.) I haven't got to play at all
2.) The customer support is a waste to use.
3.) I still have "Failed to init security".
4.) I payed for a reserved name and guess what...Daum failed me again.
Yes I have tried everything and yes I have spent many hours trying to use customer support I gave so much patience for this game and now I am being ripped off this is ridiculous. Just remove XignCode3 it's obviously useless!
  5. Post on No Update? in General

    By Veyana Eldunari, posted
I played CBT2 (the only CBT I was in, so CBT1 client doesn't exist on my computer) yet the launcher still hasn't started any form of patch or update. Just checking to make sure everyone's in the same boat here or if I should be looking into possible solutions if an update was released and I'm just not receiving it. Thanks!
  6. The cm turned on their cheat n hacks at the cbt2 end of beta.  which one gave the better performance?
  7. Hey everyone just wanted to ask/ know what was wrong with my FPS in the CBT2. I have a ultra wide monitor and so i was playing on 3440x1440 ultra settings but i was getting around  25-37 FPS while questing which is weird? because iv seen people getting 60FPS (in 1440p ultra settings) locked on youtube with around ( 980ti ) the same graphics card as mine?Just to add i was playing on Windowed full screen. I'll listen down my system specs.
    i7-3770 non K
    EVGA GTX 980TI classified
    16Gig DDR3 ram
    windows 10
    screen resolution :  3440x1440
do i need to upgrade my CPU or something because i have no clue =\
  8. I was not thinking completely correct when I uninstalled my CBT2 client and THEN checking the forums to see if the official release would work through that game client.
    Turns out it does.
Was curious if the game client could be made available to download beforehand. I don't see any reason it couldn't be put back up. I've had a conquerer's package since the day it was available and want to be able to just immediately begin playing this coming Sunday.
    Thanks!
  9. This is going to be in a positive and negative fashion, starting with the negatives (and maybe some neutral). I will also be writing down suggestions, basically things I think would make this a better experience overall. I did only make it to level 16 though, but this is going off everything I experienced.
    NEGATIVES
    - I don't like the way the lights pop out sometimes, it seems weird and looks kind of ugly at times.
    - The pve content could be a bit more challenging, though I did only make it to level 16 ,so I don't know, it could be harder at higher levels but what I played wasn't really challenging.
    - UI can be be really cluttered sometimes, meaning certain things I wanted to look at were hard to find but even so the UI just needs a little improvement.
    - For some reason I think the amount of stamina you get is really low, like I had to stop running quite often to recharge it, though maybe that get's upgraded when you level the stamina stat?
    - Cash shop prices are a little high, lowering the prices just a tad would be fine.
    - Optimization wasn't a HUGE problem for me here but I can tell that maybe the game could be optimized some more, so it could run a little bit better.
    - In terms of exploring, it seems like most of the mobs in the fields were closer to the towns rather than just being out in the wilderness, there were several times I went out into the deeps fields away from the towns only to find almost no mobs out there in the fields, so maybe the mobs could be spread out a little more to fill in some really really empty spots.
    POSITIVES
    - The character creator is absolutely badass. I mean it is the most in depth one I've ever seen, please keep it this way.
    - Though when you first start in the world, it's confusing as hell but I like that, it makes you look around, explore, interact with everything, actually read. The game doesn't hold your hand which is awesome, to many games do that today.
    - So this brings me to one of my most favorite features, PARKOOOOOOOUR. If you couldn't tell I like parkour in games, and this one has some of the that, I was climbing on buildings, jumping over walls, jumping off of things, and I even heard a npc talking about how you can get a wall climbing skill, and just...awesome. So yea keep the parkour, it's badass.
    - The combat is pretty good IMO, it's really action packed, the fact that I could dodge, cast fireball, then dodge, only to do a ground SMASH when I did dodge on accident was awesome. Overall combat is pretty fluid, though I only played one class, which was Witch.
    - Though some things like spells home in on your target, you can use those abilities with just the crosshair which how action combat should be, the fact that you can actually aim your attacks is awesome.
    - The aesthetics for the most part were pretty good, the monster designs were cool, the landscapes are wicked sick, the water actually looks like water, just plain pretty lookin.
    - NPC's are interesting, the system in which you can get special quests or certain things form that NPC by trying to get more friendly with them is pretty cool indeed. (starting to wonder if that's how you get the wall climb skill). NPC interaction overall is pretty unique here.
    - Professions seem complex and in depth which is more than I can say for a lot of games out there. The entirety of the profession system seems like it's going to be wonderful.
    - Exploration seems to be a big thing here and I love it, more games to have good exploration and from what i've played so far, this game has lots to explore about.

This is all for now, as you can see the positives heavily way out the negatives and I had an overall wicked sick experience with the game. If I think of anything I missed I will come back and edit said things into this post.
  10. Ok, I have a fairly good sized list of problems or things that I feel could be done differently/better. Some many of you will agree with and have already been said before, some you may disagree with. I strongly urge all of you to comment with what you agree with, and what you disagree with and why or how you would do it differently. This is meant to be an open and safe discussion area for many possibilities on these topics.

Names: We all understand that being unique in such a large MMO is important, but many have brought up the fact that Family Names separate you enough that there is no need to force character names to be unique as well. Not only that, but since we cannot use alt-key combinations(ë,è,ï,î) or other special characters outside of an underscore(_) it means that the longer the game is out, the harder it is just to make a character considering how many possible names will be taken. We have all gone through the hassle of making a character in an MMO only to get that error message stating our name has already been taken. You enter as many different spelling variations as possible only to still have no luck. Eventually you are stuck with an ugly mess of numbers after your name. Family names are there to prevent this issue, but we only increase our odds of getting that heartbreaking error if both family names and character names are both unique. Now I have two names above my head littered with numbers. While I am taking the argument to the far extreme, I believe one of the two being unique is enough and I would love to see everyone in the game get their number one choice instead of their 3rd, 4th, 5th, or 19th choice of name.
Skill Resets: This is not an uncommon feature. WoW for example has had talent trees and skill resets from the beginning which charged you in-game gold. We have seen other MMOs do the same over the years and add the option of buying a skill reset in order to speed up the process or save the player some gold. While this is a nice little bonus in income for developers, we have recently seen games such as Blade and Soul try something new. In Blade and Soul, you are able to reset 1 or all of your skills and talents freely anywhere in the game with no charge at all. While this does cut income of the developers by a small amount, the amount of freedom and creativity this opens is nothing to dismiss. My friends and I found ourselves trying out each and every single talent and skill available to us. We would try completely crazy builds just because we could and it was fun. This option allows for infinite creativity with your build and gives more power to the player without the stress of making your first build perfect. This allows the player to step away from cookie-cutter builds posted by pros on guides online, but allows a player to customize their character exactly as they deem fun and not according to perfecting their dps. The way Blade and Soul circumvents the income loss is by allowing players to buy multiple skill trees so instead of resetting their skills for PvE and PvP, they can buy an additional slot to more quickly switch between the two. I think this is a fantastic change on the normal skill reset system we see far too often and I believe it would work great in this game if enough players support this idea and push for it to be implemented.

Cash Shop Prices: It has been said before and I will say it again until we know for sure that the developers have heard us and respond accordingly. The cash shop prices are far too high at the current state and need to be reduced. While the exact numbers are still being argued and are up for debate, the most common request is a 30%-50% drop on most items and a base of $10-$15 on all costume prices. One of the options I myself have brought up is that some costumes could stay at this price range, but only if you can send the costume to other characters of different classes. Similarly to how I can stable my horse or armor and use it on any character I wish, if we could use costumes the same way, it might justify these prices a little better. The much easier option though is to just simply lower the prices. Under the current model, I would maybe buy one costume per character at most. What I and many others want to do is play dress-up. Games like Warframe show us that if you allow it, people will go nuts over getting the perfect look for their character and will spend copious amounts of money just on seasonal outfits and styles alone. This game has beautiful characters, why wouldn't everyone want to play dress-up? I suggest that you take the financial risk in lowering the prices and your playerbase will reward that risk with loyalty. Right now I wouldn't even touch that ghillie suit in the cash shop as it is way too expensive, but if it were cheaper, you can surely bet I would buy it for every character I made. It's not about the prices, it's about making your consumer happy and building trust and loyalty with them. Of course the argument doesn't make sense that you would make more money by lowering prices, what happens is that you make your consumers so happy, that they are willing to spend more and give you more in show of support for caring for them. Building this trust with your customers is far more important than making easy profit or breaking even. I'm sure the development cost for these costumes might risk a net loss if you lower the prices, but you have to take that risk if you want to have sustainable income and a growing playerbase instead of a declining one like Archeage.

Minor complaint, Tay Zonday voicing the intro: Feel free to disagree, but I personally thought it was very bad. I have nothing against the guy at all, but from pronouncing words very poorly to the point he didn't sound like a native English speaker, to having zero emotion in his voice the entire way through just made it impossible for me to finish the cutscene. It's a very minor complaint compared to my others, but having good voice acting is key to getting players interested in the story, but unfortunately, just like every other MMO I play, I find myself skipping through parts due to bad voice acting. Some of the voice acting is without a doubt a large improvement over other MMOs, but this intro feels like it desperately needs a more experienced actor.
The Dye System: Again, just like the cash shop discussion, it has been mentioned many times. The dye system is too RNG focused and I honestly do not have much to add to this discussion. I will instead just say that I very much support the permanent use dye suggestions and feel that this game has a diverse enough list of dyes that even if they are permanent use, I would still be trying to collect all the colors anyway and it would not hurt profits enough to matter. Look again to Guild Wars 2 or Warframe. Warframe sells entire color pallets at a time yet people keep buying them since no one has just one color they want, they want to switch it up once a week or seasonally and will always buy more if you allow them. Make dyes permanent use after obtaining them and count on the great variety of colors to be your main selling point, not rng.

I may add other points and suggestions to this post as I think of them, but I have homework and I am tired of typing for now. I will make an edit note if I add anything else to this post. Please discuss these topics and what you may change or do differently. I would love to hear other's opinions on this and hope to bring enough attention to this thread that the developers can get a nice organized feel for what we all want changed in this game before release.
  11. So this is primarily to voice my thoughts on the just finished CBT2 - feel free to add your own thoughts!
I was playing on EU server #2, primarily as a tamer, though I did briefly log into NA (that was an attempted fix for the cash shop; more later). It's a fairly comprehensive and long list!

    Game Play:
    - Mechanics: For the most part, the actual mechanics (combat, crafting, node management) are excellent as always and the game is incredibly beautiful - pretty obvious stuff by this point, doesn't need too much more detail.
    - Addition of tutorial videos: Nice touch! Definitely makes getting the basics down significantly easier for the uninitiated. I think it would be wise to take this a little further, with more videos, and potentially attach them to appropriate quests - at least early on. An option to stop them popping up and conversely increase them popping up might be nice, too.
    - Guide function for Black Spirit companion: I didn't notice this in CBT1, so I believe that's a new addition. A great idea to point people towards particular quest lines. I think if anything, it would be good for this function to be more obviously highlighted in game - I had another player tell me it existed!
    - Crafting/Processing/Gathering Quests: Now this might have been me being too low level/not meeting quest requirements, but these didn't seem to be available for the first couple of days? At least around Velia etc., anyway. I think a real draw to BDO is the option to get involved so many things which aren't combat based (I really like the combat too, don't get me wrong!), and the option to take quests around them gives getting involved in these other aspects a purpose beyond end game 'I can make awesome stuff' type deals, so not having those available was a bit of a disappointment. Now obviously they did turn up, so it may well have been an attempt to make people to get through Velia fairly quickly to reduce overcrowding or something along those lines, but I really do appreciate their addition in to the game as a way into other areas of BDO, so if that was a more serious test of whether they should be kept in the game, then yes they should!
I do have a few qualms with them though, mainly on discovering which ones are important to learning mechanics. The addition of the guide function should help with this, but as I've already said, it was a little difficult to discover. One other issue is that the rewards for these quests can often seem a little lack lustre (please feel free to prove me wrong on this point!), so it might be nice to give a little more incentive to engaging with them.
    - Beauty (F4) option: Slight issue with costumes: one, can't change what elements of your character's in-game clothing they're wearing when in the beauty 'menu' (not entirely sure what to call it - screen? Mode?), including trying to view any cash shop underwear at all. Two, once you've selected an in-menu costume, you can't change back to your in-game costume without exiting and starting again.
    - Auto-run: It would be really nice to have this back again! A mechanic that's super useful for strength training and the like.

    Character Creator:
Generally fantastic; so much creativity and customisability. Once again, fairly standard stuff. I do, however, think there are a couple of issues (or more realistically, improvements):
    - An undo button that doesn't feel like it resets a part: Now I'm pretty sure this is the case (just went to test it and realised the stand alone character creator is not available any more...), but I could be wrong - ignore me if that's the case. You do get used to using the temporary saves, but if you're doing fine adjustment and mess up, it would be great to have an undo button that's a little more subtle.
    - More body type adjustment: It feels pretty limiting to have to create an old wizard, when wrinkle mechanics are already a part of the game. Similarly with tamers, it's a bit creatively limiting to have to create a pre-teen, and would be nice to have the option of adding a breast slider, and indeed being able to remove it for characters like the witch. I don't believe options like this would drastically change model skeletons or affect game play (I could be wrong: I don't know the details of the physics/graphics engine) and it would be really cool to increase creative options.
    - Lack of male classes: Personally, I have no real issue with gender lock; I think it can actually be quite an effective way of making a player base diversify their class choices, as they have to potentially choose between play style and gender. Also, means less work for a developer with quite a lot on their plate. That said, there is a distinct lack of standard male classes available. Currently, your options are warrior and wizard (I'm discounting giants because of how physically disparate they are from standard humans, and I therefore think they stand in category of their own). Of these options, only the warrior is an average age. I think I've been pretty clear about my thoughts on creative options, and this feels needlessly limiting, especially when classes like blader have already been created and are in active use in other servers. The other option would be to create male options of other classes (ranger/sorceress seem the most obvious options for this).

    Cash Shop:
This gets its own section because, bluntly, it was a fiasco. As a disclaimer, I do like the premise - keeping the cash shop to convenience and cosmetic items only, and the use of loyalty points for rewarding long standing players. So, on with the problems...
    - Technical issues and glitches: There were wide ranging technical issues with the cash shop, in particular with Daum Cash - even after a second test. I won't go into detail; the issues are well reported in other threads. Considering how close we are to launch, the number of technical issues is concerning. As far as my own experiences (and fixes), they can be found here:http://forum.blackdesertonline.com/index.php?/topic/15447-fix-found-daum-cash-issues-even-after-reset/#comment-346332.
    - Pricing: Considering this is a Buy to Play region, having already paid upwards of around €50, the amount of money required to buy even a single outfit in is frankly obscene. I (along with many others) cannot justify spending such a ridiculous sum for what - while pretty - is digital clothing, or dyes, or a horse whistle. That is not suggesting the costumes are given more stats etc.; I'm very against pay-to-win ideals. A considerable cut in pricing would be most welcome, and significantly more reasonable.
    - Pets: While keeping more exotic/stylish pets in the cash shop is definitely fine, it might be nice to be able to acquire basic pets for silver in-game.
    - Dyes: The ability to buy specific dyes would be hugely helpful, as playing the lottery with such a huge range of hues becomes monetarily a huge risk. Obviously, you can buy dye boxes of particular shades, but for someone who would like to use a particular shade regularly is very difficult. While it would be okay to have the price of these slightly higher, being reasonable is key. As a couple of other options, buying specific shades could have a pre-requisite of having acquired that specific dye randomly first (i.e. in order to buy shade x, one must have already received shade x from a random dye box); alternatively, random dye boxes could be moved to an in-game silver currency purchase, and specific shades could be bought from the cash shop. This latter option could have several permutations, such as only basic dyes available for silver purchase, or a rotation of what dyes are available - it could even make for an intriguing addition to crafting!
  12. Post on Trading in CBT2 in General

    By Yablo, posted
So back in CBT2 I noticed that there was an option to trade with other players, this was however not full open trading.
In CBT2 we got the Russian trading system, you could trade potions and other consumables with people.
This same system was abused in Russia by gold sellers by giving buyers a hand full of potions to sell instead of direct money.

Please vote your opinion on the poll and/or give feedback to why you think that is the appropriate trading system for BDO.
If you got an awsome idea for a trading system please share it, if it gets enough likes I'll put it in the original post for others to read.

Thanks to Robbin for supplying a picture.
  13. Hallo liebe Community,
    eine Frage meiner Seits wäre:
Kann man den CBT2 Client auch für den Release nutzen?
Da ich eine Bambusleitung habe wäre es recht nett zu wissen.
  14. I participated in the CBT2 and spent most of my time exploring just all of the little things you can do in Black Desert Online. That being said, however, I fear having items in the Cash Shop that give buffs to players will kill the game slowly. I'm honestly not expecting this to be read simply because there are so many other threads titled the same thing, but if it is being read, take that into consideration in the initial launch. There are so many players that have this fear, and it isn't unreasonable to have. Stop and think as a player, not just as a developer/ moderator.
If, as a dev, you are worried about making money off the game after launch just keep up new content. Update costumes with no buffs, SKINS FOR BOATS WITHOUT A LICENSE TO OBTAIN ONE (I personally think it takes away the accomplishment a player gets when they finish crafting their boat rather than pull money off of their credit card), hold events, create a FAIR subscription option, I mean there are a lot of alternatives. Listen to us, please...
    ~Space Elf out
  15. Should I keep the CBT2 software in case it gets patched or just delete it? I know CBT1 needed to be deleted for CBT2 but the program folder name with "CBT1" in the title. This time the folder name is actually just called Black Desert Online.
    CONFIRMED KEEP THE CBT2 CLIENT
  16. Hi, these are my experiments:
First of all the game is well optimised, and looking awesome, and thats great, but If you want to take a screenshot it looks bad nearly all the time, It'd be nice to have an option that allow to take screenshots at a much higher resolution, because not everyone have 980s and 4k displays. I played the game maxed out expect high-end mode, but even as i used screen shots as a wallpaper they looked so bad.(for example if I'm in CTRL+U ui hidden mode it should render screenshots at a resolution that I choose at settings.)
Also many people complain about trading and spam-bots. In my opinion that will not be a problem here, because the game is buy to play not free. Blade&Soul has a really bad spambot problem, but its f2p. And the trade should not be blocked, because its an open game trading is good and for an mmo necessary. I cannot imagine an mmo without it, without trade its a single-player game with human companions...
About lantern and horse follow keys, I totally agree.
The energy cost to talk is bad in my opinion, I think a cooldown about 30s for global chat and spam protection(you wrote 3x the same in the last X minute ->kick) should do better.
About the CASH shop.. Thats really expensive. I know that it needs money to run the servers, but a lot of people just cannot afford anything, even if he want to buy it. if a costume set would be about 10$/€ I'd buy it basically instantly (like League of ..), but for that much I only got about 100 to 110 eur for last summer student work stuff, and for a lot of young people could be in the same problem. Also There would be a lot more purchase because a lot more people would buy it. (and in my "team" i am the one who spends the most on games/pc)
    An other way:
Costume + buffs(exp bounus and others) costs the same as now
Costume without buffs costs about 10$/€
and thats good for every one
In game bug I found for Valkyre the long hair comes trough the body if she looks up.
The First person mode is unplayable in my opinion.
    In short:
    1. Screenshots looks bad (links below)
    2. Trading should be allowed there will be NO spambots (B2P)
    3. Shortcuts for lantern & horse follow
    4. Chat spam/energy
    5. Cash shop aka money money money..
    6. Valkyre hair bug
    7. FPS mode is unplayable (but good for screens if 1. will be fixed)

(both are my characters, i asked my friend to re create one of my char at his acc while he was there and I used my laptop :P)
Screens: "bad" (yep i only have 1680x1050 but thats my native res and looks bad even on my screen  )

good: (I used Virtual super resolution for this and that looks better like if there is no AntiAliasing on the screenshots)

    and hair bug

  18. Post on CBT2 review in General

    By Saskl, posted
Right this is a review so its just my ideas of the game and what could be changed etc.
I have been playing Black Desert for around 2 months now I started on KR so I would feel that i can say I have quite a bit of knowledge of the game now as i have played pretty much every day.
PVE: Now allot of people seem to feel there is not much PVE in this game, Well sorry your wrong. There is loads, might not be the most exciting in the world but there is a lot to do and explore. ATM on release we are looking at two world bosses and also the summoning bosses that drop good rewards, also these have been made a little more difficult so its not just face roll all the time. I would not say by any means its Hard but at least there is a small amount of challenge to them. I do this the developers really need to dive deep with the pve though in the game and add allot more boss like features etc, but as for mob grinding and over 10,000 quests to do. there is a lot for PVE players for sure.
PVP: Yes Black Desert is a very PVP game, to be honest I would not recommend this game to anyone who is wanting to do this game just for PVE, As to quite honest that wont happen, as PVP will always be around you and you will have to jump in at some point. Now there has been some changes of course from KR, but I would not say vast by any means, I'm content with the Karma system at this moment, but I will have to explore more in-depth upon release and see how it really plays out. there are 3v3 and a big battle ground, but to blatantly honest apart from the 3v3s i would not bother with the battle ground, i did it once in KR and was a bit meh about it all. the other issue i do have is the power of some classes, i'm playing Ranger upon release and even i have to admit that being able to 3 shot people is a little crazy. Yes ill admit that skill is needed for all classes in some way. but the difficultly and power of some classes is a little over whelming and makes other classes look pointless. for instance if you play a warrior and have the same gear as a wizard and you 1v1, even if the players had the same skill level. the warrior would win hands down just due to how it plays " this is just an example, I know wizards are group PvP chars" but this counts for a few classes and play styles in the game. lets see if it will change over time who knows.
The World: 110% best world I have played. I love being able to run around any where no lode in screens and nps that feel alive also. also the graphics make it just top notch. I have no issues with the world at all, its lovely and beautiful, and ever where feels different in its own strange way.
Cash Shop: Okay this is where i really am pissed off about the game. $32 for a costume is not okay, the max they should be is $20, to be honest all the cash shop needs lowering from pets to other stuff, also im not a fan of the this damn "horse re set" this just means you can get two tier 5 horses level them and then keep letting them breed to make more horses at higher levels as much as you like, this takes away so much out of the game and enjoyment that comes with horse breeding plain and simple get rid of it. By no means do I think black Desert is pay to win, but the cash shop has got to be sorted out. I might pay that sort of prices for stuff, but 80% of people wont, and no should they. if they lower it, it will bring in more revenue for sure. to be quite honest I would even go to say if they Don't lower the coasts it could kill the game after a while.
Customization: okay they hit this on the nail, amazing job. so much to do and make your char look unique, but i do have one problem, that dose relate back to the cash shop, The developers really need to make more different looking gear in game, its to simple and boring atm. now to some people it wont bother them but to me it dose. As said id happy pay for a costume, but prices are way to high at the moment. more items cosmetic need to be added in the game for sure, but as for anything else top notch I love it.
Combat: its good, very good, not great but still very good. I can grind for hours and not get bored due the way the system is so I'm very happy about that.
Other: its just a small thing that id personally love added, please bring out more ships and designs, like being able to customise them more. Hate to say its name "Archage" but the one thing they did right was the navel system. id like to see something like this in this game for sure.
Overall: great game i cant fault it in most parts, I cant wait to play with the guild im in and really see if i can shine in this game, i'm happy the developers listen also and take time to think over what we have said. if anything that needs doing now is just the cash shop needs sorting out ASAP.
I do apologize if some of this don't make scene or is spelled awful I'm my dyslexia is awful haha. this my not be the best view I could of done but its just some of my views that came to mind.

Look forward to seeing you all in game.
  19. Post on Short CBT2 Review in Suggestions

20. My first impression of BD came with CBT2. I thought it has a huge potential, but to keep this short I'll only report on a few things I found annoying or on bugs.
Classes; ok, first of all I find it refreshing that most classes are kinda mixed between physical attacks and magic, and that there's no "standard" healer/tank/dps distinction. But, since I mostly play with male chars, I'd love to have the option to play with male sorcerer, or male tamer. That is all Character creation; while the creator is one of the most powerful features of BD, I still think there's so much room for improvement. First of all, (a) one key aspect that is the reason why we're not able to fully customise the face appearence is that we start with selecting one of the premade faces and modify them, instead of, let's say, selecting the overall head/skull shape. It's so hard to make a long caucasian face out of an asian tamer's face, due to the fact that you can't change the overall shape, you can only tinker specific parts. Also (b) many colors are missing from hair, makeup, eyes etc. Not to mention (c) the age/height/weight restrictions on classes. I think these should be lifted, or at least be more flexible. Finally, (d) tattoos. C'mon you can add more variety in there.Damage display; ok, this is also from a personal perspective, but initially I'm thinking that I'd like the damage that I deal with each hit to be displayed in numbers rather than "critical", "immune" etc. On the other hand, this is also something refreshing that may prove to be one of the pros of the game. After all, when you stab someone irl, you don't really know what damage percentage you deal to him Keys #1; unless I missed something, I'd like to be able to have additional hotkeys configurations available to save, so I can switch to a different config depending on the quest.Keys #2; there are some buttons that can't be binded, like "Delete" or "\" for example. I'm left handed, so I bind most of the keys in the right area of the keyboard.Keys #3; regarding keybinding again; I've rebinded so many keys, but in skill descriptions and in other areas in the game, the default buttons are still on display. If I have switched RMB with MMB (middle-mouse button), I'd like the description of the skill to change accordingly. This should be really easy programming-wise, just set variables instead of plain text Bug; Valkyrie's "Forward Slash I" has the wrong button in its description. I think it reads RMB instead of LMB, or vice-versa.Housing; it'd be great if we were able to see (and customise?) the inside of our houses bought for something other than residences, like refineries and storages.Graphics; lanterns' lighting could be further improved. As it is, I'm turning off all lanterns (unless it is really really dark) cause it feels more realistic without them.Voice-acting; so underwhelming localisation. Kinda breaks the immersion
That's it for now. I'll update as things come to mind.
After 15 gameplay hours or so, I don't feel qualified enough to comment on the depth of some in-game systems and mechanics, while most of them do seem very promising.

    See you @ BD launch!
  21. Post on List of things. in Suggestions

    By Naxugon, posted
    Good Morning my lovelies.
CBT2 has ended and I have fallen even more in love with the game. I mean, finally being able to play my perfectly crafted character and exploring the vast world, I love it. But like almost every other player, I too feel like a few things should be changed. such as:
Walking: For a Roleplayer such as my self, walking around is going to happen, and having to hold down caps-lock in order to walk really strains my fingers to be in one position at all time. Hence forth, i believe that it should be a Toggle rather than a press and hold. Also, walking speed, the running speed is fine(I believe it should be toned down a bit too) but the main problem is with walking speed, Its too slow. And considering Roleplay takes us from one part of town to the other or maybe to the next town even, the speed in which we walk is too slow, Imagine my surprise when I walk in Velia and an Old lady NPC walks faster than me. Yah, needs to be changed.
Chat: Chat doesn't need much tweaking in my experience, most people complained it was hard to see but it was fine for me, my only problem was the text limitation, most of my sentences fall short just by a word or two or three, and well it would be great if it was extended a bit more, I found it wasn't enough space to type a proper sentence in roleplays.
Roleplay: Roleplaying in DBO was fun! Great actually, though the lack of a /e made it hard for most of us to type our responses. I have a suggestion that would help in this aspect. Okay, there is a channel chat, whisper chat and a general chat, that's good an all for normal chatting(Except for needing to be extended a bit more) What about a separate chat, similar to General chat, but called a Roleplaying chat. Like General chat it is only visible to those in a certain area of that player, unlike the general chat however, the Roleplaying Chat will have a far more extended text capability. And again, a /e type of deal where we can type out our actions would be a great addition.
Server: The server set up used for the CBT2 was actually decent, I enjoyed the Idea of having two Mini Mega servers with multiple channels, it fits well, I still believe we should have one Mega server with a set amount of closable and reopen-able channels IE: "There isn't anyone in channels 22-30, so we can close those for now until there is a larger influx of players, and also, all channels are full we will extend the channel from 30 to 40 channels." I prefer this idea for a server since it would kill the chances of having to close a server or merge them(Which if you played Archage we should all know how well that turned out to be) Just saying, Mega servers, are in my Opinion a better option.
Character Creator: OH boy do i LOVE the character creator, but seriously, there should be changes and additions. Firstly, More hair styles for men, Please. (Also I understand that this is more of a Job for Pearl Abyss to do but still..) Men lack good hairstyle too be honest, and the fact that women have more hair customization options(In being able to shape and what not) made me wonder why the men didn't have the same option. Also, scaring, please, WE NEED SCARS for both face an body. And now, the ability to make a wizard younger, please. I don't want to be an old man! Other than these, I suggest that the quality of tattoo's be increased as well, especially the body tattoos.
Classes: I Know these will be coming from the guys in KR but It would be a great Idea for you to push for the male and female counter parts of the Sorceress, Ranger, and Beserker, Maybe a female Beserker, or even better, a Cannoneer, another range class that uses range attacks for heavy but slow hits cause of cannon balls, seriously, and also Melee now at heavy hits but faster by swinging the cannon around like a club, Also Awakening weapon should probably be along the lines of a giant axe since the Beserker's awakening is a cannon, then the Cannoneer should be an axe, would be cool, don't you think?
Parkour: Parkour in the game is lovely, doesn't need to be changed much, but it would be nice if there was more things in the world to climb and explore, yah know, make good use of our parkour skills, especially in dungeons and such. It could well be that I didn't explore far enough to find more things to climb, if that's the case then there needs no changing, though I do expect dungeons to make use of our parkour abilities. Also, I don't know if it was a bug or not.. But i found a ladder.. and I couldn't climb it? I really assume it was just a bug, cause really, added an entire parkour system but forgot to be able to climb ladders, that would be so funny. Right? I hope it was just a bug.
Weapons: Now I play a warrior because I love tanky classes, and a sword is epic and all, but It would have been so much nicer if there were One hand axes or one hand maces(And two hand axes and two hand maces for awakening). I suggest different weapon types for all classes, Like Ranger can both do Crossbow and regular Bow, Sorceress can do fist weapons and a whip? I guess, I'm not sure what they use in the first place. Giants can use possible both the two axes and a Giant axe. Tamer can use a flute sword or a whip, Valkyrie will be similar to warrior, except rather than an axe, they use a short spear. Wizards and Witches can use both a Staff and Tome. Such and such, The other classes can come at a later time. This weapons suggestions isn't really pushed for though, Its just a suggestion but the game is great how it is already. though I do wish the Giants could use a Giant two handed axe.
NPC Murder and bounty!: This feature isn't for me, but mainly for those Wanna be bandits and Evil doers! It would be cool to have System placed bounties(I believe there already is a player based bounty system which players can set? or something? or maybe i heard wrong). Imagine someone murdered an NPC(Who will spawn 30 minutes later, and after that they will be protected for 2 days from murders) and then they game system suddenly flagging that Player, giving s certain bounty depending on how much people he killed, and also, a tracking system, it wont ever give the exact location to the hunters, but rather hints, like "Last seen in Velia, check the inn there for more information", you know, Having to do detective works and such! would be great! Also, bounty hunts will be placed like events where only a certain amount of players can be apart, so, be quick!
These are all the main problems and suggestions that come to my mind in the moment. Thanks for reading, i hope something here gives you some ideas or maybe make a change!
    ----------------------------------------
One more thing which I totally forgot about.
Cash Shop: Oh man the cash shop. So much people complained about it I'm pretty sure there will be changes, what I would mainly like to see, is No pay to win basically. The armor you provide on the cash shop should honestly do nothing but look good. Or. Keep the buffs but add more debuffs like the Gillie suit, gathering, fine, hiding name? Not so fine. Too much of advantage in PVP. What you should do however is add debuffs to make fair. Like. Hidden name and all but suit slows you down and also brings down your ability to fight. Something like that. Or and even better option. Just take out cash shop suits buffs all together and make them into regular cosmetics. That way you can both drop the price and have less of a bother on your asses from the gaming community. Another thing is pets. Really. Either you raise the price for them to make them not worth the buy, take away their abilities, or take them off the cash shop all together and place them into the game it self, being sold at a special Pet NPC at very high prices. Like all pets sold at the pet NPC are t1 pets for at least 250k silver for one. Rare super pets however, like penguins can only be obtained through certain achievements. Like. Catching 1000 fish you now have a penguin for your efforts. I personally prefer to have all pets taken out of the auction house and sold by an NPCS for very high prices. My final note to the cash shop is. Avoid Pay to win. So far you've done a great job listening to the community. Trust me. You don't want to piss off your community.
  22. Hey there Devs!
    @PM_Belsazar
    @PM_Jinger
    @CM_Praballo
please pass this along to whomever else is part of making the Game

I just wanted to take a moment and let you know that I really enjoyed the CBT2 experience.  The attention to detail to making such a multi-faceted open world is really awesome.
-The character customization is unparalleled in the industry.
-The game rendering engine is breathtakingly optimized.
-The quests pulled me right into the lore yet weren't paragraphs of information that took hours to sift through.
-The crafting is a mystery and like any good puzzle, complex enough to interest me yet simple enough to be functionally worth pursuing.
-The MMO aspect of group play is sufficient and it was fun during the few days to even meet people to join in and do missions together.

There is so much about the game that I got to try during the CBT2 and and loved every component of it!

I would like to make a suggestion and that is that you don't change a thing.   I'm sure there will always be load balancing and tweaks to improve gameplay, but there were no 'game breakers' that I found.

The Black Desert Online World is fabulous.

So thank you for allowing me to participate and see you on February 28th!

oh yes! and i also want to say thanks to @Paindog  for being one of the most helpful and informative streamers out there.  He actually would stop his gameplay to try out things and show people whatever were questions people have on his twitch stream.

  23. Hi all,

As stated in the title I really enjoyed CBT2. I did find however a few minor points i'll point out below.
First, The character creation, I spend hours working with it to make the right characters. WIch is very good. However some features seems to have alot less quality then most others. I'm talking about the Tattoo tab. I was thrilled when i saw the tab, but dissapointed when i opened it. As a big tattoo fan, i found the quality of the big tattoo's really lacking. It would be awesome if you guys could make them better quality.
Second, For people that got 2 or more monitors it would be a good idea to add a monitor selector in the video settings. An example can be found in the screenshot.
Third is a in game watch that tracks server times aswell instead of only the in game time. I would preffer English servers aswell, but i'm guessing that will come with launch anyways.
It can be frustrating to see so many different questions in different languages and you can't answer/help them because you don't understand them.
The fourth and last is Unisex classes but that has been pointed out by other members so i 'm not going to go in more detail.

But never the less i really enjoyed the beta, and am looking forward to release!
    Keep up the good work.

  24. So I decided to give my full Feedback on my experience for CBT2. My BDO experience is 1 and a half months playing on RU and in CBT2 I levelled to lv 42, reached 94 Energy and 81 Contribution points and did some levelling on 7 of the life skills, this was done by grinding my way to lv 32 on day one and spending rest of the days checking out other things.

    First some of my concerns:
    Energy
As we all know of NA/EU release we are adopting the energy system that RU is using instead of KR one, and I understand that it’s to slow down life skill progression, but my main issue with this is that certain life skills like cooking and alchemy are getting hit really hard by this for recipes that have multiple intermediate products that you have to make, no I will not go as far as saying that the energy system has to be changed to KR one but taking into consideration the number of uses energy has when focusing on life skills I would recommend increase energy recovered when offline to at least 2 if not 3 or 4 an hour.
    Dye concerns
After playing around with the dye system I realised that for starters the system is really confusing to work out how to use first time. Next I noticed that some pieces of clothing like the robe for the witch had so many dye slots that it is too expensive to fully dye it not to mention the rest of the gear, so here are my suggestions for the dye shop, add a 5 random dye box priced 150-180 pearls, also add a single dye where you can chose the exact colour and price it around 100 pearls.
    Voice acting
Voice acting in Belenos and Serendia felt like a bad anime dub in most cases, in most cases either the characters felt like the voice did not belong to them or that the way they were saying the lines did not fit the situation, it’s like someone recorded a line from a script without even knowing what character they are trying to act as. On the other hand the voice acting in Calpheon felt very good in many cases.
    Waypoints + Auto loop
Ok so I already was aware that auto looping was removed from game so I can’t AFK train my horse, which also kills the game feature where you can auto feed carrots to horse, but the tooltip in map still mentions those things as available. But what annoyed me the most is that I could no longer even set several waypoints for my wagon to drive around the bandit points while on the way to next town, it seems like that was accidently removed when removing the looping feature. Personally I would like both features back.
    Leaderboards
Ok my main concern with leaderboards is that it only shows players currently on line on your channel, meaning if you play at low activity hours it will not be representing your current ranking, my suggested solution to this is that leaderboards should keep players that go offline for a set amount of time, think something between 2-7 days would make most sense. Also would be nice if leaderboards included what class are the players using.

    Now for the big Fish:
    Pearl Shop
When visiting the pearl shop most prices had really shocked me, there is no value for money. Originally I was planning to spend about 10 euros a month on this game to get costumes, pets, furniture and some other things, but once I tried the CBT2 cash shop it was horrible, I bought 1 underwear, 1 costume with weapon and 1 pet and that was 50 euros worth of pearls gone.
These prices feel like an expensive F2P game and not a B2P game.
If pets were 4-5 euros I would buy them so I could get higher tier pets but at this price buying 1 pet to go along with my pre-order pet is the best I could afford.
Furniture set is more expensive than a costume, considering that you get to see it less often that is way overpriced, furniture prices need to go down across the board to make the prices attractive to players and for the set it should be priced at 1,000 pearls, then I would be willing to buy some new furniture as new sets get released.
Costume prices already been mentioned in many posts of being overpriced, it’s not bad enough the choices are very lacking for some classes but the prices should be 1,000 to 1,500 pearls for set, underwear and accessories also need a price drop to make them feel like buying an accessory in game and not in real life.
Horse consumable items prices also feel too much like F2P price plan especially with prices on breeding resets.
Horse costumes, wagons and ships seem very expensive, it’s not really something I consider would buying unless it was at much more affordable.
Character Inventory expansions feel a bit expensive while weight expansions feel like they cost a fortune.
Overall I think the pearl shop prices need to be more susceptible to impulse buying and not feeling like a big purchase which is the case now. Many of the players are students, if the prices were at acceptable levels they would think of oh I can skip on my visit to McDonalds and buy this item on BDO instead. Basically the prices should be at levels where players don’t have to break their piggy bank to buy something.
Lastly some minor things I noted:
    Localisation text
Encountered a few problems with text in some cases it being bad spellings or text displaying as boxes. To main ones that I encountered was when turning in multiple items like beginner potions the confirmation box had text missing, the other case is when refilling all worker energy the box had some overlapping text and worker current tasks text don’t fit within the text boxes.
    Gold investment weirdness
I decided to use lack of players in Calpheon to finally test the gold investment system by owning top rated house but I got some odd results from my testing, first time I invested 10x 1G and at the end I received 8x1G and around 180k silver, now I tested this again and this time I got a weird result of 2x1G, 8x1G and 130k silver, this made me wonder is the unusual way of returning gold bars the reason why 2 gold bars disappeared on first test making it a bug or is it working as intended.
No way to remotely activate nodes
While connecting my nodes I remembered that in KR and RU there is an item on the pearl shop that allows you to for set number of days to activate nodes remotely, after looking around the store I did not find it so I think it should be added to either pearl or loyalties shop.
    Levelling
So I done most my levelling by grinding so I don’t know is it relay the case or did I just grind in wrong places but to me it felt that levelling 30-40 felt like the game really slowed down drastically so this may be needed to be looked into.
    Default quest filter
Ok so what I did not realise until reading a Reddit post was that in CBT2 the quest filter was only showing combat quests by default, this made me miss a bag quest early on because it was a fishing quest, for official release this should be changed to display all by default.
    NPC interaction Icons
When interacting with NPCs I noticed that all the icons for conversation, questing, shop and so on feel like they are very bland in colour and should use stronger colour tones.
    Lag
I experienced quiet a bit of lag, lots of rubber banding when running between locations and on many occasions game would jump to loading screen and throw me back like 20-50 meters.

Edited some formatting, and spelling mistakes
