  1. look im trying to get some pen gear asap and i already have 101 failstacks to go for pen on a piece of gear but im trying to figure out whats a good failstack to start going for tet..... i wanted to know what failstacks everybody else got a tet piece of gear at.
  2. I never really had a chance to fully verify this idea (though I'm going to soon), but maybe breeders will help me with some statistics for now.
Each time when you lvl up your horse, you get a message "The chance to learn new skill has increased", and then if you learn something, it notifies you. The assumption is following: most likely there is a hidden failstack for skill learning.
I.e. Horse A reached lvl 5 and haven't learned  a single skill. It got a 5 failstacks which increased probability of skill learning by X%. Then on lvl 6 it lvls up, gets 6th failstack, system then again rolls the dice and bam!, it learned the skill. Failstaks fall to 0.
What is actually the most important if these theoretical failstacks purely belong to this particular Horse A, or they can be used on a Horse B too.
Now the question is: can wagon training be more effective for skill learning? I started researching this theory after I noticed that almost each my wagon contains 2 potatoes and 2 decent horses. This actually can be explained by my assumption, since "potatoes" could donate their failstacks to other two horses.
I understand that a lot of RNG is involved, and I personally got a T7 with 14 skills through single riding, and then T8 with 11 skills doing the same.... But I still would love to hear from people who were lvling up their T8 horses. If T8 is lvled up among lower tier "potatoes" they might get some stacks since they train slower. So the question to my breeding colleagues, have you noticed any difference when you lvl up your T8 though wagon and single-riding? Also have you tried to fail a few times on getting skills on your other horses before lvling up your T8?
Disclaimer: I don't claim that my theory works and I understand that a lot or info must be gathered to check that. However BDO has a lot of hidden stats that we might not know about, so I'm trying to dig at least a little bit to understand the system. Also I omit costumes factor here since from my own experience can say that even if they have impact it's probably +0.5% to the chance to learn a skill.
P.S. Would be great if devs would take a look here and enlighten us a little bit.

  3. Why isn't possible to use cron stones in silver embroidered clothes? Is a bug or is working as it should be? Because the amount of fails to get them to +3, +4, +5(the dream) is like PRI DUO TRI etc and it breaks in failed enchants, so it works like accesories but you cannot use cron stones to minimize the loose?
  4. Hey Black Desert Online
Black Desert is really a top game. But not the failstacks system!!! The failstacks system serious annoying. With all respect to all the guides, but working not at all. 35 failstacks and still fail for DUO ring   bloody annoying
What I try, nothing works. Always failed, costing enormous amount of silver and black stones.
Can not it all a bit more simple and more practicable for ordinary player which playing couple of hours a day.
Upgrade with blackstones or something like that

  5. Personally i'm driven absolutely crazy by the idea of losing hundreds of millions off of failing accessories. The cron stones are an awesome idea and a helpful tool, but I'm not a fan of the valks cry and don't like cash driven success rate.
The system i would like to see implemented is one where you can use 2 pri items to make a duo and that would significantly increase the % chance of success. I feel that the more you invest in the item going into the enhancement the more likely it should be to succeed. This would be an excellent counterpart to the people that don't want to spend hard earned cash on extra valks cry FS offering an in game cash alternative. Between that system and cron stones it would make accessory enhancement RNG a bit less terrifying and maybe keep people from blowing their brains out when failing tri ogres.
Let me know what you guys think.
  6. I would like to know when we can start to expect fail stacks being sold in the Pearl store. It would be a great help to those of us who would rather just pay money and get better gear than playing the game. I know they said we won't be getting the valks cry or what ever it is but surely they are planning another way to buy fail stacks. Anyone know?
  7. Post on rng improvement in Suggestions

    By Champlocker, posted
    Hi BDO,
i'm very displeased with the RNG in this game, the itemenhancement is so unbalanced sometime you get your 15+ or tri at first try and sometimes you have to  make 6 alts with all 50 fs to get tri... I personally have had the worst luck with the new adventure game from the black spirit and horses, I've had 3 GM intermediate boxes and 1 GM advanced box ALL 4 boxes gave me 1 blackstone armor, and with horses i've had over 20 breeds off t6 horses with just 1 t7 as outcome and all horses had the worst skills they could get...
please review this and discuss if there might get a buff to the rng.
  8. Hey everyone, for those of you who missed it on Reddit over the weekend, I have finally published part 1 of my Enhancing & Failstacking guide. Part 2 is on the way. Enjoy!

  9. I've been struggling to get my gathering clothes to +3 (Spent 120 mil so far to no success). I'm wondering how many failstacks I need to get it there. Is there a cap? I've made 3 sets of +2 gathering clothes, but they all failed when I tried to get them to +3 at 25 stacks.
Failstacks needed for silver embroidered clothes with maxed luck (from what I've seen):
    +1= 0-6 failstacks
    +2= 20-24 failstacks
    +3= ?
  10. I'm just looking for a little clarity here as I've been told several things at one time or another. +16-20 (Pri, Duo,  Tri, Tet, Pen)
I know that there are the usual risks when enhancing up to duo as there were prior to those enhancement levels.
What I'm seeking clarification on is the enhancement level reduction following duo. I was under the impression and read guides detailing the process as 'once you read duo, this is your new minimum' Which sounded great to me. If I could get a taste of the new enhancement levels up until duo and safely gamble with the remaining three knowing I had the security of duo as my base, then I was all on board with that.
Now I'm hearing that if a failed tri attempt happens, back to Pri you go. Now if this is true, then I guess I need to be more dilligent with my forum discussion reading and I guess I'll be a little disappointed.. but I guess I'll live with it. I'm wondering as well though, is it a guaranteed drop? is there a percentage attached to level reduction? or is there a chance I'll just lose the durability and be free to gamble again as well?
  11. Hallo an alle,
  12. Trying to get myself killed with a lvl 5 red karma alt.... its taking rly long, even in failure you have to deal with the rng!

  13. I have been searching all over since the latest patch hit for information regarding numbers of failstacks to use for upgrading my epheria rod and maple float. I was not able to find any reliable chart , nor did anybody in the general section of the forum seem to have any answers. Is there anybody around here willing to share what he has found or even just his own experiences with this?
I will start with what little info i have from last night , starting out with my epheria rod +5. Upgrading to +6 went in one single try at 15 failstacks. Went up to 20 failstacks for +7 , which took 3 tries. Then finally started at 25 failstacks for +8 which took 8 tries to get.
Planning on continuing on my +3 maple float tonight, all advice/experience you can share would be much apreciated!
  14. Is there any known failstack chart floating around for upgrading fishing rods and floats ( for instance maple float/epheria rod ) ? Since the changes in fishing , a lot more people will probably start to upgrade rods/floats and stuff , is there anybody that has some good information to share about the best way to go about this?
  15. BDO's RNG is often the topic of heated debate. I am providing both a suggested adjustment to the current RNG chances as well as the current RNG success rate chart. I encourage players to mae their own suggestions as to which soecifics they would like to see changed, and by how much. Too much of the discussion is just general opinions about like or dislike, and nothing yet about specific changes. Hopefully this thread will give a more specific and tangible idea to the devs as to what players want and expect.

  16. Buy Liverto > fail 51 times the upgrade from +9 to +10 > die
(oh i forgot: repair durability with Memory Fragment 250k each, and destroy a PRI: Witch Earring meanwhile)

What's the chance of upgrading this s**t? 1%?
  17. I few weeks ago i started a similar topic, but now i decided to make this one more especific. the focus of this topic is for people to shared knowladge or experience on enchanting past +15, ogre rings and silver clothes, since this are among the hardest things to enchant. This knowladge/experience can from videos, foruns, your own success/fails, etc.
The point is that people dont go enchanting blindly and for them to have some idea of how many stacks they should have, ssince ultimatly its up to RNG.
  18. What should I do with them?

Been watching some enchanting guides but not fully clear. I was trying to get some armor up got to about 15 failstacks decided to carry on trying on my weapon +13 to +14 but kept failing.

Now I realise that's enough, time to use stacks elsewhere. So should I get some marks of shadow to attempt to enchant those? or what? basically guides say failstacks are sort of an investment, for example If I got 2 mark of shadow and enhanced them i'd easily cover the stones I "Wasted".

    Any advice?
  19. I heard that people failstack on their alts because the lower your karma, the higher your chance of failing an enchant, which makes it easier to get higher failstacks. But you cant transfer these stacks to your main right? So what is the point if your success chance in general is lower, even tho its easier to get failstacks? Are there 100% success chance for items based on failstacks or is it all luck every time?
I'm just slightly confused as to what the point is if your success chance is lower, even tho you are getting failstacks more frequently, was just wondering if someone could point out why it's useful and use some examples
