We are constantly looking for ways to improve the game, your feedback and suggestions are a key part of this process.  Everyone is welcome to visit our Suggestion Forum and share your thoughts with the BDO Team and the community.  Below I will give some advice on how to present your suggestions to ensure you are heard. How to make sure your contribution will be taken into account: Be precise and constructive.Take the time to explain your reasoning behind a feeling or a suggestion.Check if the suggestion you have in mind has already been shared. If it's the case, you can reply to it.Ask other players or friends you know what they think of your post before you click the "Submit" button.Be realistic. To add content requires a long time, but don't feel discouraged if it takes time to see changes.  I want to thank you in advance for any suggestions provided, and we look forward to reading your contributions!

Violation of law The User undertakes to respect the legislation of the country from which the User launches the Game and accesses the Services.  6. Behavioral rules and guidelines 6.1. Thread bumping The User shall not bump own threads. Replies to own threads with the sole purpose of moving said thread to the top of the forum can lead to a warning with the possible consequence of losing writing permissions on http://forum.blackdesertonline.comIf the User wants to add more information to a post, the “EDIT” function can be used. It is permitted to reply to own posts once every 48h as long as the follow up post adds new and meaningful information related to the topic.Replies to other users posts with the sole purpose of increasing it's visibility are also considered thread bumping as well as spam and will be actioned accordingly.Normal replies to other users are not affected by the above mentioned rules.6.2. Posting Etiquette The user shall not post in all capital letters, use excessive punctuation, flamboyant fonts etc. to draw attention to its posts.Using the words Kakao, Kakao Games, Pearl Abyss or any Kakao Games Europe member’s name in a topic title is frowned on.The user shall not use misspelled versions of inappropriate words to circumvent the swear word filter. Doing so shows the User was fully aware of the nature of the word and it will be reflected in any potential penalties.6.3. Interacting with other users Post made with the sole purpose of upsetting or angering other users are not allowed. All posts have to be made in the spirit of mutual respect. The User shall not attack or insult other users for having different opinions or for making statements the User disagrees with. Challenging the opinions or statements of other users is permitted, attacking the person holding them is not. If the User finds the actions of other users in breach of the forum rules, the Report Function should be used in order to bring the case to the attention of the moderator team. The case will then be reviewed and appropriate actions will be taken. The user shall not "name and shame" other users. If a user is suspected to have broken Terms of Service / Terms of Use or taken part in fraudulent activities it should be reported directly to Kakao Games Europe by submit a support ticket.6.4. Quoting The User shall not quote posts who break the forum rules. The User is instead encouraged to use the Report Function in order to bring inappropriate content to the attention of the moderator team. Reported content will then be reviewed and appropriate actions will be taken.6.5. Abuse of Report Function The user shall not abuse the report function. The report function is intended to be used to make the moderation team aware of potential breaches of the forum rules not to get revenge on other users. If the User finds another user behaving inappropriate several times in a short time span, the Report Function can be used, highlighting one relevant post and indicating in the notes that other threads are affected too. If the User feels a thread is out of control, one post should be reported indicating in the notes the whole thread needs attention.  7. RP Forum Rules The RP Forums follow a more strict rule set. Any user wishing to participate on the RP forums is advised to review the specific rules before posting.  8. Appeal Forum Moderations Threads deemed inappropriate to a particular forum will be moved to a more appropriate forum or even removed completely. Threads that have been removed or closed are not to be re-posted. The User shall not discuss specific cases of moderated posts or disciplinary actions against users on the forum. If the User disagrees with an action taken by the moderator team, an e-mail should be send to forumdisputes@blackdesertonline.com. An uninvolved Community Manager will then review the case.

    Habt ihr auch ab und an das Problem, dass die Meldung "File Corrputed" auftaucht und man das Spiel beenden muss, um die Dateien reparieren zu müssen?
    Gerade eben im T7 Pferderennen gehabt, ist die Meldung erschienen und mein Charakter ist eingefroren.
    Das Problem taucht unregelmässig alle paar Tage auf, ohne irgendwelchen Indiz oder sonst etwas (es gibt keine sonstigen Fehlermeldungen oder anderes die mir Windows berichten könnte).
    Habt ihr das auch manchmal/selten?
  2. OK. I found out that everytime me and my friends get to a quest called "Ah these goblins" at lvl 15. We both crash when we come to that point ive tried too fix it doing file recovery and more!
    SO "Ah these goblins" Quest at lvl 15 is the problem i think ive tried this on 2 characters too so it cant be wrong also that im not the only oner getting it here. SO HERE NOW you guys know we many get this error  not everybody but MANY so please fix this! BTW Everytime you try to join the game again with these characters u get file corrupted error while loading in too the game. so i or WE cant go in finish the quest and get over with it!

  3. Before Maintaince everythink was okey. I already reinstalled the game, what to do?

  4. So I got a 7 day trial for this game to see if I wanted to buy it. Started the trial 2 days ago and have not been able to play because of this Themida error saying a file is corrupted or has been manipulated or cracked etc etc. I know you all know what I am talking about cause I have seen lots of talk here about it but I can't find a straight forward 100% solution except to delete the version.dat and repatch but that doesn't work.
    I have no issues with any other game except this and my trial time is running out without me being able to even play. There is so much talk about corrupted files in these forums it's kind of ridiculous. Please help! I want to like this game and buy it but this isn't making me want to whip out my credit card!

Hey, since the release of the game ive had little to no issues with the game at all, this all changed on the patch on the 13th of April, I got the issue with the corrupted files while trying to launch the game, I checked my RAM, reinstalled BDO (even on another drive just to be sure) and eventualy got that fixed, ran the game smoothly for another week, now that I got home trying to patch the game it downloads to 15% then I get the corrupted file issue again... as ive checked my PC parts im quite sure there is nothing wrong with them, there is no AV blocking this game either, im running it in admin mode too. So please what the ----- is happening...

    Since you have come to this thread, you might have seen this error: "The File is corrupted. If it persists, please run file-recovery from the launcher." with your game crashing afterwards. Or maybe your game just closed without any warning whatsover, or you got a bluescreen, or your whole computer got stuck without even beeing able to bluescreen... the list is long!
    Many people have this issue, sometimes it's random other times it happens on specific things, some solutions have worked and now stopped working. There are already countless threads about this topic and it's hard to find what you are looking for having to read though pages and pages of posts. Right now I'm in the situation that I have found a way to make my game work, but the same steps don't work for other people, that's why I would like to help.
    So what is this thread about?
    I'd like to make this a thread, in which we collect (possible) solutions for this issue for people to try out without having to search for an eternity. Meaning you tell me what worked for you and I will add it to the list below. If many of you contribute what you know, maybe we will find steps to avoid this error for everyone.
    Right now the list is very small, since I can only add the solutions I know about, so please tell me what you know so I can add it!
    Please also tell us, if you've got a guess on what is causing this! 
    List of possible solutions:
    Things to do with BDO itself:
    File Corruption Error:
    delete the version.dat file located in your BDO folder, this will make the launcher check your files and possibly repairing themyou may have to do this everytime you want to launch the gamehaving your antivirus turned off, while the repair is in process might help toogo to your BDO installation folder into bin64, right click the BlackDesert64.exe open properties > compatibility tab > run this program as an administratordelete this file: xgncode.txt located here: Black Desert Online > bin 64 > xc > na > 2  you have to restart your computer before you launch the gameyou have to do this everytime you want to launch the gameThank you Cairenn Tairisiu for the following steps!go to Black Desert Online > PAZcopy all the PAZ files to a safe backup folder after you do a file recovery operationnext time you crash, open the most recent Client Log file (located at Black Desert Online > Log) and find the PAZ file (near the end of the log file) that triggered the crashgo to the backup folder, copy that one file over into the PAZ folder and overwrite the existing PAZ filerestart the game. It should run for a while now without full file checks or rebooting because of XIGNBluescreen and/or Computer Freeze:
    disable High End Mode in the Graphic settings of your game (try this, even if your Computer should be able to easily handle this, if you have High End Mode activated you automatically enable experimental features (whatever those are), which might cause problems)Things to do with your computer/hardware:

    make sure all your drivers are updated on their latest versionThank you Alexkidd for the following:!Please only do this, if you know what you are doing! If you mess up updating your Bios correctly you can majorly mess up your computer!If you are running an Intel Processor I5 or I7 with a Skylake build a bug Confirmed by Intel in the microcode may be the cause for crashesUpdating your Bios might fix thisThank you Alexkidd for the following:if you use a PSU, it's possible that it malfunctions or get's overloaded, since BDO pushes really hard on your hardwareCheck if your PSU's capacity is sufficient for your Hardware; or if it doesn't work properly anymore due to wear and tear. Change it, if that's the case! Things to do with your antivirus-programm:
    File Corruption Error:
    have the Black Desert Online folder in the exception list of your antivirushave the Black Desert Online folder in the exception list of Windows Defender 
    Note: You may not have to do all of these steps to make the game work. Or you may be unlucky and your game won't work even after doing all these steps. If the latter is the case for you, make sure to check back to this thread, when more solutions are added. As of now all 'solutions' are temporary!
    To better investigate the possible cause(s) of these problems I added the following list. If you've got an assumption, what might be causing the issue for you, feel free to tell me and I will add it here. If one of the possible causes is applicable to you, please tell us, too, so the people investigating get a better overview.
    List of possible causes: 
    issue with NVIDIA Driversor graphic card driver in general, since AMD users get the same problemXIGNissues with the experimetal features of the High End Mode 
    Bad performance issue:
    BDO picking the wrong GPU (on a computer with a dedicated GPU and integrated GPU)

  7. Yesterday (March 16th) my game started to have a message that would pop up saying "The File is corrupt. If it persists, please run file-recovery from the launcher." I could click "ok" on the pop up and the game would close. Restart the game and I could play for a little while and it started again. But the time between restarts got to the point that I couldn't even get into the game without the pop up and subsequent crash!
    Last night I uninstalled the entire game. Ran the installer again and downloaded the 31-32GB of game files. Played last night without any issues, afk fished for a little while and this morning the pop up showed up again. So far it shows up all the time. I can reinstall the game again, but that didn't solve the issue the first time.

    PLEASE help!

    Updated - I've tried what past posts requested and nothing that was mentioned below worked to solve my issue.

    Issue: Corrupted Files
    Fix: Go to Installation folder -> bin64/blackdesert64.exe
    Open properties
    Compatibility tab
    Run as admin

    If this does not solve the issue, add black desert folder to your anti-virus exclusions.

So BDO EU/NA is the only version I get constant and regular errors about file corruption.  Tonight I have seen the error about 10 times. Yes we have some threads in tech that get buried and have no comments from Daum what-so-ever. I've followed suggested steps to correct it nearly a dozen times, and spent hours watching files re-verify... If people can cry about stupid shit in the general forum, it only makes sense we can request basic functionality here too.
    "If it persists, please run file-recovery from the launcher." From which launcher? The high quality JPN/KR/RU launchers? Or the 3rd-tier EU/NA version that doesn't even have this function? (which we have complained about since CBT1)
    I've played hundreds of hours on JPN, dozens on RU, and only had this issue once or twice in those versions and it ways mostly due to unofficial English patches being out of sync. One recovery was enough to get those versions back on order. Not so much here. So free versions work more reliably than this one for me so far.
    Can we get an official comment on this, a timeline for a fix. I can't play the game I payed for and have only a few hours of game time. I've tried disabling AV, using different HD, Compatibility Mode, Running as Admin, Updating drivers etc etc. None of which was needed in RU or JPN.
    White-Knights back off. I didn't do anything wrong, sick of the accusations. I've been trying since Sunday, still no fix...
