  1. So I've been playing pretty much all day, and I'm having a blast, but my fps has been bugging me all day. I can't get past 30 fps no matter what I do with my graphic settings. I need help if anyone knows of a way to increase the fps.
  2. So on Very Low settings I'm running at 12fps. And with optimization settings I get like..maybe 28-30. I've turned off V-sync and that didnt help at all. I slightly overclocked my GPU and that didnt help either.
    Here are my specs:
    Processor: Intel(R) Core(TOM i7-3770 CPU @ 3.40Gz
    Ram: 16gb
Graphics Card: Nvidia GeForce Gt 730
Unfortunately not sure as to what my power supply is at the given moment.
I should be able to run the game on AT LEAST medium...right? I'm extremely confused as to why my FPS is that freaking low...kind of irritating.
  3. I can play at ANY other lower resolution like 1680x1050 in Fullscreen @ 60hz. But the moment I try to go Fullscreen at 1920x1080 (native) @ 60hz it will immediately drop me down to a mere 23hz (the lowest refresh rate my monitor can do). I can't change this setting at all either...
Obviously this makes the game look terrible. Everything is brighter, frame rate is capped at 23fps and the screen isn't scaled correctly. It's completely unplayable and makes my eyes hurt.
How the heck can I fix this? I don't want to run in Windowed or Windowed Borderless because then I can't use VSYNC and I get huge frame drops in towns and stuff which I wouldn't have if I could use fullscreen properly @ 1920x1080 like in any other game.
I have a 980 Ti. So I should be able to enjoy butter smooth performance running at my native resolution @ 60hz but I can't. Why not?

I saw other threads with people who had the same issue but all of them got locked or deleted. Is staff trying to hide this major issue? You can't expect us to play the game in Windowed mode can you?
  4. If your fps drops in-game and you think your system should run the game better, force vsync off in your graphics card's control panel for BDO.
  5. Post on Full screen low FPS in General

    By Viktor, posted
Why the game forces my monitor into 24 Hz when switching to full screen mode? Then i have ofc 24 FPS. When in windowed or full screen windowed mode, it's ok, but when switching to full screen, the problem happens. Well, i didn't start the game yet. I'm still in the menu. Will it change once in game? Does anyone has the same problem?
  6. Hey,
I've been playing Black Desert for a few days now, and I think I'm getting lower fps that I should be?

    My system specs are:
    STRIX-GTX980TI
    AMD FX-8370 (8-core at 4.3 ghz)
    8gb of RAM
    1080p (1680x1080 at 60hz)
600W PSU (enough for my PC under load, apparently)
    Win 10

I've tried lots of settings, from medium to the very highest, and the variation is only about 10fps. I spend a lot of time in Heidel, and my fps is about 30 with all maxed, and about 35-40 with all medium and disabled. Why? I don't think my specs are that bad at all, and frankly I think I should be pushing 60 all the time, even totally maxed (excluding high-end mode). My NVIDIA control panel is set up reasonably, with no weird stuff, and I've disabled v-sych. But I still only get around 30 fps in town. When I move out it goes to about 50, but it's by no means stable, and drops to 30 in spikes when people go by or something happens. Apparently this game is fairly well optimized, so I'm not sure what my issue is. Also, apparently I should be getting about 45fps in cities with this setup, but I'm not.

    Thanks.
  7. Hey there i was wondering with this pc could i run this game on high because i was thinking about buying it but i would like to know what to expect first so all help is very much welcome

    specs cpu: Amd 6300 @3.5
              gpu: r9 380 4gb gigabyte
              ram: 8gb ddr3 1600
              hdd: 1tb 7200rpm
once again i would really be thankfully if someone could clear this up or if you have the same specs let me know your performance.

    Thank you.

EDIT: My PSU power is 600W, which is enough to run under load.
  9. I've been struggling with my frame rate being erratic. I've tried changing my settings in game, with no visible change in frame rate. I've taken some screenshots of some things I would consider important/valid for this problem.

  10. hi my rig is this

Things I have tried so far,
    Unparking CPU cores.
Overclocking CPU to 4.4ghz from 4.2
    Windowed Fullscreen, Windowed, and Fullscreen.
I've tried every Graphic Setting. (Low, Medium, Medium high, etc.) and every Texture Detail level setting, and turned on/off all the settings I could find.
I've tried playing in Cropped mode.
    Rollback and Update Drivers.
Force "wait for Vertical Refresh" off in Catalyst Control.
    Disabled Tessellation and Disabled Multisampling
    Disabled Anti Aliasing
Set monitor Refresh rate to 60 (This doesn't ever get changed by the game, surprisingly)
  13. Hello, i was expecting slightly better performance from the game, and i was wondering is it a problem from my part (old hardware) or something else. I seem to have a decent enough rig for recomended requirements, but the fps is still little.
I tryed to play a bit with settings so so far i have 70-90 FPS with everything on bare minimum (forgot its name optimization something)
All the other settings medium high, ultra high. Seem to be around 35-55.  I would like to keep some options like textures and some other effects on and disable the not so crucial one, duno usually shadows eat lots of FPS.
So wondering what are other experience on this: how much FPS, what settings, and so on?

    Thanks

  14. Hey everyone just wanted to ask/ know what was wrong with my FPS in the CBT2. I have a ultra wide monitor and so i was playing on 3440x1440 ultra settings but i was getting around  25-37 FPS while questing which is weird? because iv seen people getting 60FPS (in 1440p ultra settings) locked on youtube with around ( 980ti ) the same graphics card as mine?Just to add i was playing on Windowed full screen. I'll listen down my system specs.
    i7-3770 non K
    EVGA GTX 980TI classified
    16Gig DDR3 ram
    windows 10
    screen resolution :  3440x1440
do i need to upgrade my CPU or something because i have no clue =\
  15. For some reason i'll just be playing and my FPS drop drastically, like from 50 to like 4 for a couple of seconds then back, when i open my settings tab the game actually like is almost frozen for a little bit before it resumes . I wasn't experiencing this before but i am now, anyone tech savy have any ideas as to why?
Just logged on KR aswell had no random frame drops, whats the issue here?

sonstige Daten. Intel i5 3570k + Asus Max. 5 Gene + GTX980Ti@1500 MHz + 16 GB RAM + SSDs + Win 10 Pro (MSI Afterburnerauch OSD auch dabei) alles aktuell
  17. this is the fix that worked for me
  18. This worked for ME, is not meant to work for everyone as it is a bug.
    I use a TV as a monitor, GTX 980 Tri-SLI, 359.06 Nvidia Drivers.
Go into the Nvidia Control Panel -> Change Resolution -> Customize -> Create Custom Resolution -> Create a Resolution
My regular resolution is 3840x2160 @ 60hz, I created a custom resolution at 3838x2160 @ 59hz (Progressive 32/bpp/Timing Automatic), I lower the resolution by 2 pixels or else the game would lock to 24FPS (it may not happen to you, but it did to me), I changed the HZ to 59 instead of 60 because once I was in game I would get lightning flickering when transitioning from shadows to a sunny area, Once you create your custom resolution test it, make sure that your monitor doesn't go apeshit or that is blurry. (This is for my monitor(TV)/resolution I'm sure yours will be different)
Once you have your custom resolution, Launch the game, and set your resolution to the custom resolution you just made (Inside the game where the graphics settings are at, not your windows resolution)
I hope this works for some of you.

  19. Hi guys,

I'm kinda of a noob when it comes to computers and required specs to run games. Can anyone give me tips on getting higher FPS for Medium to High settings?    At the moment i can only reach to 35-45 fps on medium settings =(

    My current PC specs below.
    Intel Core i5-4690k 3.5 GHz 6MD
    Memory: 8GB DDR3/1866Mhz
    Video: Nvidia GeForce GTX 750 1GB Gddr5
    Motherboard: ASUS Z97-P ATX

    Suggestions would be appreciated.

So i sit at 24 FPS, have tried all the different setting and cant figure it out.
    I have 2x 980 Ti, 6700k and 16 GB of RAM,
    So whats the deal?
  21. Is anyone else having this issue?  Or am I the only one...  No matter the quality I put I'm in, my frames are still capped at 50.

Edit:  Game changed my monitor refresh rate to 50, changed it back to 60.  All is well now.

  22. Post on Regarding FPS Issue in General

    By Pomadas, posted
Soo I was expecting to play BDO with at least 40-50 FPS with my rig, which is not the case, I'm playing with 35 fps at the very best at lowest settings.
I've alrdy lowered my resolutions , tryed them all, mix things up. I have the monitor refresh rate at 60Hz soo its not that too. I tryed window, full window mode, still nothing.

I have vertical sync OFF ! I have toggled out the high end spec in settings

This is my rig: http://imgur.com/5PWcxDT (Gaming Laptop)

Just tell me if I'm doing anything wrong Any help would be appreciated !

  23. Post on *Turn off V-Sync* in Suggestions

    By Sai, posted
Hi, I'm not sure if this has been posted already BUT :
For any of you using an NVIDIA graphics card, turn off v-sync by going into your NVIDIA control panel.
Manage 3D settings -> Program Settings -> Select 'BlackDesert64' -> Scroll down and disable vertical sync.
For those of you with lower end pc's, disabling v-sync should unlock your fps and you should see your fps rise substantially. For those of you with higher-end pc's and monitors with 144hz, I think you'll now be able to notice the difference.
*Sorry I'm no computer wiz, but I think that's how the higher refresh rate monitors work anyway*
  24. Post on 144hz in Suggestions

    By ProEra47, posted
My suggestion is simple, add 120hz/144hz/240hz refresh rates  so that those who have high end monitors can have an even greater experience.
or if it's limited for a reason please explain why so we know.
  25. I have an AMD Radeon R9 390 and an Intel Core i5-4460 CPU @ 3.20 GHz with 8 GB of RAM. Right now I'm playing with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 and textures and graphics on High. I've turned off the high performance option, the better shadows option and the view distance option.
With all that I get about 25-30 FPS. What I'm really wondering is if there is a way to push the graphics higher without tanking my fps? Any options I could uncheck that make minimum visual differences but huge performance differences?  Or any thing you would recommend me doing with my resolution?
The game booted in the highest settings and its hard to unsee something so beautiful.. Sadly the FPS in the highest setting was around 5-15 LOL.
