  1. Right now I'm average, maybe below average gear. 188AP/249 DP. I can handle Valencia mobs just fine, with the exception of Cadry Elites and Pila Ku jail mobs. Valencia is pretty dead, most of the games population don't venture either A) because it's so far, B) want to avoid the debuff or C) just don't have the gear to grind.
From what I have heard so far the Kamalsyvia region is even tougher. It took a long while for me to get the gear I have, in that same amount of time some others have had more luck and are already at 450-500 GS. I don't know what the number looks like but I'm sure it's less than half the population of the game.
So basically my thought is will I even be able to experience Kamalsyvia with my current GS, and what about the 100s of others (or maybe thousands) that want to explore that are no where near my mediocre GS.

P.S. I've also never been to Magoria because I get on for a few hours and if I did I'd probably only get one way to the island
  2. Post on Gear advice in Warrior

    By Blaabaer, posted
Hello guys I'm a 60 warrior and I'm looking for some advice on what to go with next as my upgrades.
My situation is that I don't do node wars or sieges, what I mainly do combat wise is grind and skirmish around grind spots. I like to do "challenging" stuff like Pila Ku when I do grind. With Kamasylvia on the horisont however I'd like to itemize my gear around that content.
This is my current gear http://bdoplanner.com/s/x7BuIa9I & I also have a TET nouver.
My main question is wheter or not to go for a TRI sicil's or a TRI ogre. Kamasylvia is supposed to be fierce, so getting more dp might not be a dumb decision.
The second question I have is related to the earrings, should I acquire manos earrings for DP or get double red coral earring for accuracy? Cause for accuracy I could just run elixirs.
Anyway any thoughts you have on this is very much appreciated.

Edit: Working on getting a sharp protection stone for it aswell.
  3. We are going to have a new forum, I also post a same topic there. Click Me.

It’s the time for another maintenance. I just have nothing to do, so I post this.  Well, it’s good that a game still keep updating. But after I saw the update content preview….*sigh*

Let’s get back to the topic. We can see lots of suggestions in the forum. But, seems many of them are hard to fulfill.
For example, some players want Daum to rebalaance the classes.
It sounds logical and I agree with it. But it’s really hard to fullfill.
Because Daum has no ability, responsibility and right to do this!
    They are just publisher.
Only Pearl Abyss, the developer,  has the power to do these core change.

Fix bugs? Rebalance classes? Ask for new male/female classes? Change game mechanism?  Fix desync? Fix memory leaks? Fix FPS? Optimize graphic? New game content? UI change?.......

    No.

Daum can change NONE of them!!!

Only Pearl Abyss can do these, Daum can only “suggest” them.

    So what can Daum do?
According to the events we had before, Daum can…
1.Change the monster loot drop. (Dark Knight Seal event)
2.Change the monster loot drop rate. (Black Stone event)
3.Change the gathering loot drop. (Play Your Own Style event)
4.Change the gathering loot drop rate. (Play Your Own Style event)
5.Change the fishing loot drop rate.
6.Add new NPCs. (Most of the events have)
7.Apply all the changes that Pearl Abyss did in the Korean server.
8.Gives global buff to all players. (Weekend Bonus Exp)
9.Adjust the price of pearl items.

Daum has these ABILITY and RIGHT to do these.
I think these are really enough to make NA BDO much more better.

To be honest, if the gaming environment doesn’t change.
It’s no matter that you don’t update the Horse Awakening, because only 84 horse in NA can be benefit by this patch.
It’s really no matter that you don’t release Valencia, Margoria and Kamasylvia, because they are all DISPOSABLE maps. You completed the main-story quests? You checked all the nodes? Even if you don’t do either of them, you will back to Pirate Island and Sausan. The core game is still stop at Mediah version. The rest have no better reward compare with these Mediah stuffs.
I can get more exp at Sausan and Pirate Island, why should I go so far away to desert?
I can get Sharp Black Stone Crystal easily from the sheep at Serendia mountain, why should I go so far away to Valencia to dig those hard-to-find desert herb?
I can do all world boss if I stay at Sausan, why should I sail so far away to Margoria to miss those boss fight?
Aakman Temple? Hystria Ruins? Okay, I can do those mobs if I go with 4 more guildies. But,   does the drop rate increased? Not at all, at all, at all. The correct solution is that we 5 players all ALT+C at Sausan and exclude all other players. This is the most effective way to level up and earn silvers.

The end-game of all MMORPGs are hard to exclude PvP.
Why you grind so hard? For higher level and better gears.
Why you play so much life skills? For more silvers to buy better gears. And it makes you easier to grind mobs.
What’s the next step after you conquer all mobs in a MMORPG?
Start PvP, find stronger players and beat them down. And enjoy the progression of your character and your controlling skills.

And currently, BDO makes the road to high level / good gears TOO boring.
Only Sausan and Cox Pirate have the highest effeciency to get the top.
And you start this endless loop since you are Lv52!
Grind same mobs from Lv52 to Lv 60?
Gathering the same spot for next billion silvers?
    WTF logic?
Nothing changed since Mediah version? All of the later patchs are a FAKE?

I’m also so surprise to the logic of Daum,
You are able to give away ultimate END-GAME accessories just by logining in with one click.
But you don’t dare to change the game environment by adjusting mobs exp/drop rate and gathering exp/drop rate from Valencia and later patch.
Why you don’t take good use of your ABILITY and RIGHT to make different fish pools for us weekly.
But keeps giving fish directly to us DAILY.
That’s not even a game! A true game should let the players get what they WANT on their OWN.
BDO is not a trash mobile game, and tons of players are supporting you by CASH.
Can you Daum make BDO better?

Well, you Daum can ignore this post if you CHANGE the game name from “Black Desert” to “Black Pirate” or “Black Sausan”.
I will have no more opinion, yes I promise, no more.

Start lazy life-skilling from now on, unless Daum makes some change to the gaming environment.
Get back to play World of Tanks, League of Legends and some PC games on Steam.

  4.
    Pearl Abyss,

The Male Elf(Presumed Ranger) was featured in one of your trailers more than 3 years ago. The files for the model appear to already be in game. Many fans of BDO expected to see this class released with the Kamasylvia expansion, but that appears to be unlikely with the release of the Dark Knight class. Can we expect to see the Male Ranger class in 2017, or any time afterwards?
The disparity between genders and classes is profound. There are 5 male classes to choose from, and 4 out of 5 are traditionally melee. A male ranged class(That's not 90 years old, or a reskin) is long overdue.

  5. Hello,
We will get new items with release of Kamasylve.
I am interested by this one :    http://bddatabase.net/us/item/44295/
May we be able to gather that plant ? Or is it  only available for 58+ (quests) ?
    Have a good day.
  6. 14 August 2017 - UPDATE. The fish table for the Trent pool has been reverted back to the Calpheon default and removing the Kamasylvia fish species, including the chance of the 'Message in a Bottle' item. Therefore, the only current way to obtain them is via harpooning. It is no longer possible to fish the bottle item, only via harpooning until Kamasylvia arrives.
16 August 2017 - UPDATE. Now confirmed as a low drop chance from the current Terrmian Waterpark open waters via fishing since the 16 August 2017 Patch Notes, which added a new fish table for the event. Set to run until the 30 August 2017 so for a limited time only.
    Introduction
    The Bottle with a Note item was introduced a week after the Margoria expansion in the EU/NA Region with the 01 February 2017 Patch Notes which included this;
    Details
As the notes stated, the item can be obtained while harpoon fishing. It leads onto various versions of the Gardaka’s Treasure Map which starts an associated quest depending on which version you get. The quest is to solve the enigmatic riddle included in the map tooltip text.
However, while exploring potential Kamasylvia fish species along the border of thar region due to beww opened here sometime in March, I found a small pool which contains a Kamasylvia fish table (including the Swiri), to my surprise I fished up one of the bottle items. So I can confirm that it is possible to also fish up the Bottle with a Note item as well as via harpooning now in-game.
The bottle functioned as expected and started the quest. Thinking it may be a bug I continued to fish and a day or so later fished up another which confirms that it is possible now in-game in our region to obtain it via fishing and not just by harpooning.
Checking further, I have now found two other references to these being fished up in Kamasylvia from the Korean forums so it looks very much like this is a deliberate design decision to add it as a rare drop probably in any Kamasylvia water body. The reason we can catch them before the new region is opened is because the fish table overlaps a bit into existing land in Calpheon. This happens occasionally, like for Margoria before launch etc.
    Location
The only water body I could find with another fish table other than that already posted on, accessed over the border into Kamasylvia from the Ross Sea, was this small pool found to the SW of Trent. It is in the Cyclops Land area (on the mini-map) and why I refer to it as the Cyclops pool. The location is indicated on the attached image being above the Ksarka Shrine (Calpheon).
The pool can be accessed by moving SW out of Trent from the storage keeper, up the hill and then either side of the shrine entrance steps. Or up those steps past the shrine NPCs and jumping off and climbing the rocks to reach the pool set back a little from actual shrine entrance.
    Notes
Players should be aware that although fishing gives probably a more realistic option for obtaining a bottle item over harpoon fishing (the drop rate may vary etc.), I have yet to see even on the Korean forums any actual confirmation of one of the actual treasures being located by solving the various riddles.
In time I expect the locations will become common knowledge and having something hard to solve is really cool in itself, currently it will require a lot of communal detective work to try and work out the locations and gain the Golden Chest reward.
I can also confirm that only one quest can be accepted at a time and the bottles and treasure maps are bound items, so until the current quest is completed you wont be able to remove the item from inventory or it will be forfeit as the item tooltips state.
For more detail on the Swiri found here also and fishing table generally please check out the separate thread here.

Good luck with fishing one up (or harpooning) and join the world hunt for these treasure locations.

  7. UPDATE 15 July 2017 - The fish table of the Trent pond identified in this post has now been changed in-game to the normal Calpheon fish table. This means there is no longer these new Kamasylvia species (including Swiri) or bottle items now. These should become available again when Kamasylvia arrives soon in the new regions.
    Introduction
A little while ago I posted on the confirmation that the Swiri fish species had been added to one or more of the Kamasylvia freshwater fish tables in Korea where it launched late last year.
After a recent patch update, I can confirm that it is now possible to catch the Swiri in-game in the EU/NA region, due to the Kamasylvia fish table overlapping in one location to the south of Calpheon close to the border.
For many, the Swiri will be the last remaining entry not completed in Knowledge > Life Skills > Fishing Fish Species. It was one of the species that was originally marked as a red quality species but never introduced to the game. Only recently were the other missing species, Sturgeon and Sunfish, added to the game with the Margoria expansion.
Like these other species, due to it's original design, it can not be sold to the Imperial Trader, only to a normal Trader.
The Kamasylvia fish species are already included in the Freshwater Fish Species List posted last month but this new discovery confirms some more including the Swiri in a specific fish table. It can't be confirmed until Kamasylvia opens up for us in March sometime but is probably one of the Valtara areas fish tables.
The same fish table includes one of the new green species, the Stumpy Bullhead, which can also be fished here. The remaining fish are existing species with a couple of surprising additions. The table consists of:
Kamasylivia - Valtara (tentative) Fish table

    Fishing species
    Pacu
    Swiri
    Lenok
    Yellow-Head Catfish
    Stumpy Bullhead
    Sweetfish
    Goby Minnow
    Trash items
    Snapped Rope
    Tattered Boots
    Torn Net
    Other items
    Bottle with a Note
    Giant Fish Bone
Also confirmed is a chance to catch the Golden Siniperca being the first freshwater Rare quality fish which gives a very high price (200k silver) like Coelacanth or Luvar from the sea areas. It's another nice addition to the Kamasylvia freshwater fishing.
    Fish Table Notes
While test fishing I unexpectedly fished up a Bottle with a Note item (in fact two over time) which is supposed to only be obtainable via harpooning. However having caught two now and seen this noted on the Korean forums also, it looks a deliberate design decision to add it as a rare drop item to Kamasylvia waters. For more detail on this item please check out my other thread which covers it, here. The Giant Fish Bone, an install-able house object, was also a really unexpected catch. I have never fished one or even seen one. None on either EU or NA Market Place. It has existed in the data for some time and was at some time available and has been caught in Korea but not to my knowledge in our region before. Further detail con be found on this separate thread. The Minnow has been renamed in the latest patches as the Goby Minnow, probably to avoid confusion given how many minnow species there are now.To trade the fish caught here you will need to connect to Longleaf Tree Sentry Post or Treant Forest depending on which side of the pool you fish, so check Origin of fish caught.Location
The only water body I could find with another fish table other than that already posted on (accessed over the border into Kamasylvia from the Ross Sea) was a small pool found to the SW of Trent. It is in the Cyclops Land area (on the mini-map) and why I refer to it as the Cyclops pool. The location is indicated on the attached image being above the Ksarka Shrine (Calpheon). You can just see the pool on the main map.
The pool can be accessed by moving SW out of Trent from the storage keeper, up the hill and then either side of the shrine entrance steps. Or up those steps past the shrine NPCs and jumping off and climbing the rocks to reach the pool set back a little from actual shrine entrance.
    General Notes
The fish table as well as having some other unique items to catch (will be added later), probably reflects the developers' intention as an upgrade and added interest from existing freshwater fishing. The fishing speed is as fast as at of the fastest in freshwater areas and it has a much higher percentage of yellow quality fish which means fish value is a lot higher. The relic drop rate appears much the same as all other areas.
    Summary
It's great to get the final freshwater species at last for our region. The Swiri had become almost a mythical beast in it's own right for fishers. Also, the other new species and details for fishing in Kamasylvia are really welcome as a continuation of the developers desire to bring new content for the activity.
The drop rate for Swiri is quite reasonable so it shouldn't take too long to catch one. Good luck with the other species and items.

  8. [Fishing] New Fish Species - 'Amur Minnow' - First confirmed Kamasylvia fish species catch in EU/NA Region.
One of the new Kamasylvia freshwater fish species. The Amur Minnow is a green quality species included in one of the Kamasylvia area fish tables.
It is possible to catch this fish and other existing fish species included in the Kamasylvia area fish table by fishing over the invisible barrier west of Port Epheria, along the coast. The sea area behind the barrier is marked Margoria but obviously this part has the freshwater table of the adjacent inland area.
The fish table from initial testing is:
    Fishing species
    Striped Shiner
    Amur Minnow
    Bass
    Yellowfin Sculpin
    Trash items
    Broken Bottle Fragment
    Fertilizer Sack
    Washed-Up Laundry
Note: Other species possible. This is from initial testing only. The remainder of the species are from existing fish species.
Kamasylvia has been opened up in part already in Korea but doesn't extend to this coastal area, which is due to be opened up at a later date. The fish tables however appear to have been added at least for it. The part opened already in Korea is south of Behr/ Trent and is due to be added to EU/ NA region in a in a couple of months.
The only way to fish it is as described above, over the invisible barrier (as it worked with Ross Sea before Margoria was officially released).
    Update:
It is also to find the same Kamasylvia fish table at the source of the Kaia River, close to the border and south of Trent. it is limited to the very top section and reverts to the typical Calpheon fish table lower down the river. The only difference is that the trash is different but the fish species and lack of any yellow quality remains the same as above.

  9. Embrace the shadows when both the Dark Knight and the region of Kamasylvia arrive in Black Desert Online this March as free updates.
  10. Like my previous thread created in April...

I would like for us to once again come together to make a concentrated effort to let Pearl Abyss know how we feel about this.  I've created a poll (or rather recreated it with two major word differences!) to include every opinion on the matter I could think of, and would ask people to vote based on what they feel is true now that we have more information.
As I'm sure you may have seen around, this is the Dark Knight's combat:Here are some promotional pictures of the Dark Knight female version:For PearlAbyss's sake I feel that I should also mention that a counterpart (aside from the Witch) always has come out some time after the initial class.  Just because we didn't get one with the release of the Dark Knight doesn't mean we never will, in fact that's to be expected even if we do get one!  So please, put your energy into letting your voice be heard!  A male Dark Knight counterpart is still very much a possibility, but we have to let them know that we'd like one!
Please refrain from any inflammatory comments!  This time around I'd like to just focus entirely on the Dark Knight's potential male counterpart.
Major things I've observed about this topic:
People are specifically looking for a male Elven class, and are upset there isn't one yet.Though one can make a Warrior/Musa/Ninja/Wizard's ears pointed, it would seem that for many this isn't the same thing as an intended male elf, and they would like to see PearlAbyss's take on a male elf rather than having to make one themselves. This means that if he were a human, giant, or something else—some people would still be frustrated. Many are upset with the gender-locking system, but others are alright with it.Most people would like for the classes to have a 1:1 Female-to-Male ratio instead of being skewed in one direction or the other. The majority of people saying they'd like more Female classes seem to be joking, though even if they aren't the reasons are typically that they'd like to see more beautiful women.  It should be considered, however, that in the Western audience there are people who would be interested in an attractive male as well (both men and women), this has also been a sentiment raised from time to time. Many people are anxious, worrying that it may be a repeat of previous games in which all new classes are Female. Some have raised the sentiment that if a trend of all-female classes continues into the future they may stop playing BDO.Many like the aesthetic/combat style of the Dark Knight, but some would like a male character to represent themselves. In the previous poll, we can see that the majority of people want a Dark Knight male counterpart, only a small minority explicitly don't wish for there to be one.The largest percentages of people would like to see the Dark Knight have (in order): Minor Differences (Musa/Maehwa 26%), Major Differences (Valkyrie/Warrior 25.6%), or they simply don't care regardless (25.4%).  *This may change significantly now that we have more pictures and videos. The smallest group were those who explicitly do not want a Dark Knight counterpart at 10.9%, this is roughly in line with the amount of people who stated this again later on at 9%.  *This may change significantly now that we have more pictures and videos.
