  1. Hi!

I am an avid PVP player with pretty good gear (180AP and 270 DP Valk) and I think I have a pretty objective opinion about the strenght of most classes currently in PVP. I am never someone who freaks out too much about other classes being to strong or weak but the state of Maehwa/Musa is something which has to be addressed.
When those classes came out the babyrage was big because they got owned pretty hard in PVP most of the time. This had several reasons, firstly bugs which got fixed and secondly (something which most players successfully ignored) a lack of experience with the class. The result was that the other classes managed to beat Musa and Maehwa quite easily (remember, they already played their classes for 2 months :D). Now Daum caved in and buffed them quite severly and fixed some bugs which I was ok with.
Now the state of the class was quite good. Good damage with excellent mobility, enabling them to dictate engagements pretty much all of the time and getting out of most sticky situations even if 5 or more players focused them. PVP felt quite good against them, they dealt a decent amount of damage and you couldn't get a hold of them but if they overcommited you could kill them.
But then something happened which I cannot understand, another, even more severe buff followed just recently which put the class in a position where a blader with good gear can just dominate everybody while being nearly invincible.
Now after this buff Damage numbers are INSANE ( got one-shot by blader ults several times with 270! DP). They are just too good at everything.
    1. Survival: When using herbal pots Bladers can literally Dash through the whole map being CC immune with superarmor. That enables them to escape situations where 5 or more players focus them mostly unharmed. Furthermore when when thrown to the ground Meahwa and Musa can stand up twice as fast as all other classes.
    2. Damage: As mentioned, Damage numbers of well geared and well played bladers are out of the roof. No class should be able to one shot tanks on an equal gear level (3000+ DMG on 270DP)
    3. Utility: In case you survive a CC you are still confronted with having zero WP/MP/SP, that doesn't make the rest of the fight any easier.

So the situation right now is the following, many players are getting good at the class now and caught up on CP and with this second buff they are now even worse than Sorceress ever was. A blader will always be able to get away if you don't kill him in one CC combo so he can dictate the course of a fight to 100%, wait for cooldowns, pot and finish you off in the next engagement if he didn't one shot you in a CC combo before.
The only surefire way to kill a blader now is if he gets grabbed by a Berserker and a couple of PPL pound into him.
Please look into this matter as playing against those classes feels like a pure cheese which is just frustrating.

I would probably enjoy the hell out of it right now if I was a blader right now but the current situation is just so over the top unbalanced that I just had to raise my voice.

I would apppreciate any comments to be as objective as possible, I sure can understand that if I would have so much fun with a class right now one shotting ppl left and right and charging away with a grin on my face that I would try everything to prevent any nerfs but please be objective.

    Regards,

    Daniel
  2. Title, I have both and I want to focus on one, Im bad at both so i cant really judge by playing yet

  4. Post on Musa Arrow bug in In-Game Bugs

    By Rockett, posted
    Hello all,
I've noticed for a while now my musa has a bug where he holds an arrow in his hand. Whether he is holding his sword out or if its sheathed, the arrow is visible. By shooting my bow is gets rid of it.
Clearly its very minor and doesn't effect game play at all, but its not meant to be in the game.

Above you can see what I mean by "he's holding an arrow in his hand"

  5. Thought I'd show you guys what it's like being a Musa in a siege war. The Musa class outperformed my expectation in sieges so I had a lot of fun.
Both guilds defended well as both forts were still standing after 3 hours of attack and defense.
    Good Fight Harmony.

  7. So i got my hands on a the Kzarka chest, i play mainly Plum (Meahwa). My second Class is Valkyrie. What should i choose if i have Liverto for both of them.
Kzarka Blade = +3 Attack Speed and then i have to find new gems to get +5 Crit and
Kzarka Longsword = +3 Attack Speed AND!!! + 3 Casting Speed.
Both are good, but for Valkyrie i can use more gems to raise some Resistance if i have Kzarka.
    Pls Help

  9. Hi everyone,
I would like to play Plum or Blader, but... when i read the forum,
Some people say " Plum and Blader are very low in PvP and almost useless in GvG, good for PvE but that's all...
Those classes looks really awesome so... if some blader/musa 50+ can give me some feedback on those classes ?
TY so much and Good Game all !

  11. Post on Is Musa really that bad? in Musa

    By Wilendar, posted
I'm reading through this forum and I find often threads about QQ Musa, how is he weak, ranger better etc... I don't have really high experience with Musa only lvl 50+ but I can one shot catfishes with Rising Storm (a lot of them at one shot literally) I have some difficulties with shadow knights I need to combo them and run around dodging most of their attacks because their hit takes my 1/3 total hp, maybe because i have only 105 DP for now (on ranger I have 95 DP and nearly don't use HP potions at all), but skeletons don't do much to me (because they are so slow) but i need to hit them couple times, sometimes with dragon bite combo ended with rising storm.... I don't have to use any MP potions, only HP potions occasionally used in catfish and skeletons and mostly used on shadow knights
I recently leveled up ranger to lvl 50+ and she have the power, especially with shotgun which is great for hard mobs like cyclops / ogres / bosses etc but daaaamn, that mana cistern i have to take with me for every farming discourages me to continue with ranger, even when she hits like a truck... but hey Musa hits like a truck too... or Am I something missing ?
Ranger with EES is nearly immortal mobs can't hit her, Musa on the other hand is very squishy mobs can hit you easly in meele and ranged, problem comes out when you pull like 20 mobs to use rising storm and you can't see when they hit you, issue is growing when there are ranged mobs like SK wizards.
So concluding, I like resourceless gameplay with Musa but I feel that there is something missing, something not right compared to other classes. How do You feel about investing in Musa? is it worth or just wait for Kunoichi/ninja that will be Musa 2.0 ?
  12. Hey Community!

I am playing a Musa LVL 55 and i dont know which earrings to use. I have two Red Coral Earrings and two Witch Earrings, now my Question is which items i should use at the moment? One Red Coral & Witch or two Corals or two Witch Earrings? Accuracy is pretty necessary for my class in PVP so i guess i should go for the Red Corals but I am not sure if the Witch earrings are more useful until I get my Red Corals on PRI. Of course i have 6 AP more if I use the WWitch earrings now but is it really worth to have more AP instead of the +4 Accuracy and Endurance?

And yeah I know that Valencia comes out and we´ll get the Whale Earrings but until then which ones should I use?
    TY

  13. Post on A tankier musa in Musa

    By vishstix, posted
So I have my musa at lvl 52 and I really enjoy the play style but I seem to have a lot of issues in Pvp and with higher level mobs. I understand that im supposed to dash in, combo, dash out and use my block when needed but im still pretty bad at it. I was wondering if a tanky build would be viable at all on my musa as well as what gear I would shoot for. It seems like when ever I Pvp I just get knocked down super fast and lose before i can do anything at all. And with large groups of Elrics or helms I just get destroyed. I have thought about just playing a warrior or valk  so I can face tank more but I have tried both and they just dont feel right compared to my musa. So i guess my question is, Is a tankier musa build viable and if so what gear should I be aiming for.

  14. Post on Crystal recommendations in Musa

    By Mujen, posted
    Hey everyone,
Can't seem to find any post on this topic. What crystals do you recommend putting inside of your gear? Have you found it to make a significant difference?

    Thank you in advanced
  15. Please read, and after respond to the poll.

To shed some light about the situation and the spam around it. Few weeks ago we said that we wanted to release all the awakenings all at once. That is still our plans so far. There are no silence around this, mostly maybe a "let's not repeat ourselves everytime someone new ask for it".
Now, this is mostly due to the fact that releasing only a part of it might create some unbalance in the actual PvP system. Your concerns are based on the PvE yes, but that doesn't mean PvP will not be impacted by it.
On top of that there are 2 things to notice, first not all classes have their awakening skill ready to be released, this is not a matter of "this new class has an issue let's try to fix it", it can only be solved by waiting, would it be ok for them to wait ? Would it be if we were playing a class without awakening when everybody has its own ?
Second point is that, as you saw in many patch notes, we keep changing monsters/boss stats in our version of the game, meaning our client is different than the KR one and that also we're trying to adapt the game.
There is actually no reason to be afraid of something that isn't garanty to happen. Awakening won't be coming soon no, and it doesn't mean that you will not be able to grind properly in Valencia.
Edit: And the lock happened mostly because it turned into an "ok but repetitive post to just spamming for attention". If you want an answer, better tag and wait for us to read the whole thing, if there is spam, we'll lock then read after.

  16. The guide assumes you know how to cancel skills such as Blind Thrust, and Blooming Phantom.
There have been a lot of questions regarding Musa since it's a bit of a complex class which makes it so fun. This video will show you the skillbuild to maximize your damage.
But most importantly I wanted to make this video to help those who still believe Musa's can't stunlock after the CC patch.
When I talk about the dynamics between different CC states in the video it might sound a little confusing so below is a simplified version of how our stuns can stack on each other for best success.
This has been tested with a Musa against other classes, therefore it's possible that playing a different class to alternate between stuns and stiffs to create CC combos may not work.
First we need to talk about the CC patch and what that means:
    1. It means once you knockdown someone, they become CC immune meaning you cannot create any stunlocks after you knockdown a target. The CC immunity once they are on the ground are something in the range of 4-6 seconds immunity.
    2. It has changed the dynamics of how stiffs and stuns stack on each other. Previously common sense and logic would assume that the different CC states (like stuns and stiffs) are hierarchical since there are 2 versions of resistances. i.e stiff being a weaker form of stun. This is true, but it lead to people making assumptions and conclusions that once you stun someone, you cannot go back to the weaker form of CC by inflicting stiffness hence why people QQ about not being able to CC chain anymore. This is not true.
    3. The CC patch seem to have introduced same state resistance however. What this means is if someone is stunned, trying to stun them again rather than stiff has a very low chance of succeeding.
Therefore, to summarize the dyanmic between stunlocking with different CC states, you will have the most success if you alternate between the Musa's ability to stun and stiff.
    Correct CC chain:
    The Double Dragonbite CC Combo
    1. Stun (Dragonbite+Dragonclaw. DO NOT use Lunar slash) , Stiff (Blind Thrust), Stun (Blooming), Stiff (Back step Slash), Stun + Knockdown (Dragonbite with Lunar Slash) Finisher (Rising Storm).
This combo is the strongest Combo I have tested as it has one combo'd Valkyries with 175 DP whilst testing with 99 AP. However it's high risk, high reward as the more stunlocks you chain together the less chance it has of the full combo landing.
It's worth to note, in my testing, Black Horn Bow consistently landed stunlock combos more frequently than a White Horn Bow. Accuracy in landing stunlocks is a definite factor to think about.
This combo is not recommended to White Horn users without accuracy accessories or bhegs gloves.
    Basic CC Combo
Stun (Blooming), Stiff (Backstep Slash), Stun + Knockdown (Full Dragonbite Combo), Finisher (Rising Storm)
This is recommended for White Horn Bow users with 130+ AP as there shouldn't be many classes that survive that.
As you can see, the pattern goes Stun, Stiff, Stun and Knockdown at the end of a combo.
With this knowledge you can Mix and match quite a few skills to create you're own personalized CC combo.
These combo's work best with 5 Attack Speed and 30+ accuracy without food.
    Have fun.

Only get Black Horn bow, if you don't have Bheg's gloves and Full Ap Accessories otherwise you will gimp your damage severely. Full accuracy accessories with AP bow are quite viable with this combo too.
This combo is not recommended to White Horn users without accuracy accessories or bhegs gloves.
The Double Dragonbite Combo (Safer Version) shown at 6:23 in the video guide.
    1. Stun (Dragonbite+Dragonclaw. DO NOT use Lunar slash) , Stiff (backstep slash), Stun (Blooming), Stiff ( Blind Thrust) Knockdown (Rising Storm) Finisher (Dragonbite lunar combo).
    Basic CC Combo
Stun (Dragonbite + Dragonclaw + 1st hit of Lunar slash), Stiff (Backstep Slash), Stun (Blooming), Finisher (Rising Storm)
This is recommended for White Horn Bow users with 130+ AP as there shouldn't be many classes that survive that.
As you can see, the pattern goes Stun, Stiff, Stun and Knockdown at the end of a combo.
    My Gale Combo (Recommended)
Stun (Dragonbite + Dragonclaw + 1st hit of Lunar slash) > Stiff Backstep Slash > Stun Blooming Phantom > Float Gale > Finisher Ultimate Rising Storm + Blaze.
With this knowledge you can Mix and match quite a few skills to create you're own personalized CC combo.
These combo's work best with 5 Attack Speed and 30+ accuracy without food.
Please note that despite what the tooltip says, for the Musa our dragonbite inflicts stun and for Maewha it inflicts stiffness.

Gale Combo Key Inputs : 5:25
Blind Thrust / Blooming Combo Key Inputs : 6:10
Double Dragonbite Combo Key Inputs: 6:24
Watching these combo's at low speed on youtube will show you what key binds to press to cancel the animation's as well.
    Have fun.
  18. Post on Help with musa pvp in PVP

    By vishstix, posted
So i'm a level 51 Musa and i'm having a really hard time in Pvp against guildies. Im wearing Grunil/Taritas and I have 84 ap/ 126 dp. I feel like I'm useless and im not sure what to do. I can live for a little while against my warrior friend but it seems like any other class they get me on my back and burst me down so fast I cant do anything. Ive tried blocking and being defensive and Ive tried being aggressive and trying to get them down and burst with dragonbite combo and lunar slash but i feel like i cant burst fast or hard enough. I'm starting to think maybe this class isnt for me maybe I should roll a tanky character that can soak up some damage. Any help would be much appreciated
  19. Post on Musa class builds? in Musa

    By Rockett, posted
Hey everyone, was wondering if you guys could post the builds you currently use for your musa's.
After the recent patch a fair few things have changed so I was wondering if there's anything new.
  20. Heya fellow Musa Players out there, since the Patch on 18.05. i have noticed something and was wondering if somebody else got the same issue.
Sometimes when i use Blooming it wont cast Phantom after it, i tested it several times, when i just use it in the air almost everytime Phantom will be casted, only a few times not.(edit: is just used it about 10 times in the air and it never casted Phantom after, right before i did the same and it worked almost everytime)
But as soon i go and try to hit Monsters with it, it happens way more often every 2 or 3 Blooming there will be no Phantom. Sometimes even several times in a row.
Im talking about using Phantom as a stand alone Skill and not in any combo with any other spell, it seems it works fine if you quick cast it from combo or the Hotkeybar.
Its seems its totally random if it work or not, i can not detect a pattern
  21. @CM_Jouska @CM_Praballo @CM_Tytyes

I think it would clear up a bunch of confusion if we could get a more clear answer on exactly what Super Armor does.

Also note some users are reporting it's not being applied, but that could circle back to it not really being entirely clear what super armor does exactly in BDO.

I'm assuming it's supposed to give some layer of CC immunity and possibly damage reduction.

Apologies if it's explained in tool-tips, I am at work and really haven't been able to sit down and test things.
  22. Are you serious with the CHASE?!?!? I got limited chase now ? after the patch the Chase ability (Blader Dash) actually consumes WP+Stamina, i cant even catch a Valkerye , the only good Musa spell u guys managed to trash it, gg DAUM .
HOW ABOUT SORC INFINITE IFRAMES THAT ALSO CAUSES THEM DO DSYNC AND MAKES THE OP AS FK ?!
    Nice work Daum, GG.
  23. Hey, i just went to the arena with an maehwa to test the patches...everything looked from ok to awesome...then we started a real duel...guess what?

any use of dragon bite...be it an regular one or an (w+)rmb canceled one now trigger ur 100% ultimate...
in other words: once you got ur 100%, your unable to use any form of dragon bite based combo...unless you want to randomly plop ur ultimate - leaving you killable for like 3 seconds - making you look like a clown.

    video:
  24. This mornings patch brought heavy changes to a class that already had questionable issues.
ITT: The three second cooldown now on Dragon Bite immobilizes the class.
    Body:
Animation Cancels: The basic animation cancel of W + F and RMB has been nerfed. The stamina drain is immense, which, in my opinion, I can live with.
My biggest complaint is the "stuck" we're feeling after attacks such as Bloom and Gale. I can no longer Dragon Bite out of them, or Chase. This too, I can live with.

Dragon Bite: The issue here is the highly mobile skill, and main opener to many of our hardest hitting combos. The unable to use on cooldown is in fact, ridiculous. There's no fluidity and being that most skills now disable Musa from moving - "sticking"; I feel is an issue.
I'm not asking for much of a thought. This is my annual rage awareness thread.
Tldr; Keep the changes, even the ninja DP nerf but I'd like to see the skill Dragon Bite able to be used on cooldown once more.
The inability to use skills on cooldown - it's like I'm playing TERA all over again.
  25. Soooo I understand that you can pay for pearls which can buy outfits...But there has just got to be another way. I mean, I'm only level 33 at the moment, not even at Calpheon yet, so is there somewhere where I can just craft outfits, or buy them with silver? I really don't want my (Musa) character to look exactly the same throughout the entire game. Please please please! Help me out here. I've asked all over and no one has told me anything.
    Thanks.
