  1. Hi, I'm wondering if anyone knows of a better "HP potion" to craft, aside from Highly Concentrated Grain Juice.  I know there are dishes you can cook, many of the dishes I've encountered, though, have a looooong cooldown, 20-30 mins.
Thanks in advance for any help!
  2. Can you balance HP potion (Extra Large) and make it more attractive for players?
    Now it is like:
HP potion Large   -   HP potion Extra Large
    1.25LT   -   2,50LT   100% more to carry
    500 silver   -   1250 silver   150% more to pay
200 recovered   -   275 HP recovered   ~37% HP more to gain????

What's the point of heaving this item in game when there is no point of buying it?
  3. Post on Energy: NPC Exchange? in General

    By Enigmas, posted
So I had thought I had read somewhere you could go to an NPC that would exchange like 50 energy and turn it into a 10 energy potion that you could then later use. Am I correct or is this wishful thinking and if I am correct then where is this NPC located? Any information helps.

no more spamm of potions now they have to dicide what to use Hp . Mana or Stamina pots to stay in the fight  High consumeble potion classes are geting more carefull on there attacks and killing blows instead of spamming every skill they have around , i belive this changes the way PvP wil be enjoyeble again

    Cheers

  5. Hello everybody!

I'm a totally noob at this game. Just played  like a 100 hours or so.

Well the thing is, a friend of mine discovered the Herbal Juice
    Herbal Juice
So now we can produce "mana potions" ourselves.

The big question is: there is any other kind of potion that you can produce, that get you hp recovery/hp regen?
  6. Post on PvP Potions in Suggestions

    By Bille, posted
Hey I haven't really gotten into pvp that much yet, but as i've seen on gameplay pvp it looks like alot of the PVP is based upon who runs out of potions first.
Is this something you can agree upon? And if so, do you have any suggestions?

  8. Post on Auto Potion in Suggestions

    By SEED3733, posted
  9.  I personally would like keys and potions to be placed in their own inventory such as a Key Ring and Potion Pouch. Each would have limited space and still apply to the overall character weight limit. We would gain a few given slots in our inventory by removing   them from the general inventory space. Would also like to see a weight reduction on potions. My Witch is currently carrying around 100 (Medium) Mana potions / 50 (Quest) HP potions and 2 key sets and already almost maxed out in weight limit. (I don't carry my silver on me and keep it all in the WH since you can buy items that way) Something like a max of .50 making every 2=1lbs of weight instead the current scale. The new scale could look something like .30 - .40 - .50 (Max) I know it seems like a small amount but consider the characters that have to carry two sets of potions with them both hp and mp. My Tamer , I don't have to carry two sets and as such don't feel that sting too much. For someone carrying two sets though they of course, are carrying double the weight of someone that doesn't.
  10. Just an idea. I like how things aren't tradable now because it stops RMT and bot spammers, but what about little things? You're with some friends and they're low on potions or something, we could just trade them that stuff. No silver involved, no giving them op armour when they're still newbies. Just the consumables? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Please give your input on this idea, point out any flaws it may have as well so I can address them and fix it in here ^^
  11. Currently in the game drinking a potion is instant and then it is put on a cooldown.Suggest changing it to have no cooldown, but instead have a cast time and animation that can be interrupted by something that would stagger or stun or something. Examples of games using this type of system are many From Software RPGs (Demon Souls, Dark Souls 1&2, Bloodborne, etc.) and most, if not all, Monster Hunter games.
This seems like a pretty realistic approach that makes healing a tactical decision. Balances could be made to accommodate such a system. Giving it an easily recognizable animation would be ideal. Whether it roots you or not would be up to the developers, although it seems likely that it would. There could even be skills that interact with potting. Maybe a class can pot while dodging. Just ideas though. Mainly I think something like this can vastly improve both the PvP and PvE of this game. Making it something that stands out especially seems like a boon to gameplay.
  12. I noticed that while playing other versions of the game, that the main concern which made PVE so easy were because of (2) factors. Aside from their AI's which I know cannot be changed, is that Enemies attacks are too slow especially compared to how fast your character moves(This is especially noticeable with Ranged classes). The other reason is the Health Potion.
Would BDO NA be able to change the attack speed of mobs to make them more in par with the player speed? Also, mobs seem to walk to the player once they are within range! One last thing I noticed was that mobs run at you, stop, then attack. Is it possible to implement their attacks as one fluid motion, with the rush straight into the attack?
The health potions is a huge problem with BDO. NPCs give out too many to players leaving players with over 100 potions! and the potions have a very low cool down making it far too spammable (NPC should only give players 1 potion per quest). This makes people cut through the game solo, because death is rarely a concern when you can keep spamming a potion. I know that CBT1 the cool down has been revamped from 3 to 5, however I feel like this will not change the spam issue much. I really don't see how 2 seconds can change that much, as I noticed with the Russian version.
I feel like Potion should be less of a crutch for the player to lean on. In my opinion, the best way to deal with health potions aside from the cool down would be to have it increase your health slowly instead of instantly. This way it will force you to keep avoiding mobs (or other players in PVP) as it replenishes your health, making you become more careful during a fight. Potions should not be accessible until the full +X heal has been applied.
    Let me know your thoughts.
  13. Bonjour !

  14. So here's the question that could either kill or save the open world PVP. As you can imagine, its quite a hot topic. For those of you not in the know...
PROBLEM: Potion cooldown is 3 seconds in all current versions of the game that are released thus far.
Most everyone agrees that this is simply too little time. If you are unable to keep the heat on the enemy for even a few moments, they are back to full health. Additionally, even if they are knocked down or stunned or anything then they can still chug. Now, I'm not saying that I'm correct in my opinion that this is a bad thing, but I'm 100% correct in my opinion that this is a bad thing.
DAUM SOLUTION: The currently announced cooldown of potions will be 5 seconds in the EU/NA localization.
This is obviously an improvement, but whether it is enough depends on who you ask. Which is why I'm making this thread, of course.

KEEP IN MIND THAT CHANGING ANYTHING OTHER THAN COOLDOWN WOULD TAKE A LOT MORE EFFORT.
DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE HOW MUCH EFFORT CHANGING ANYTHING OTHER THAN TEXT IS IN A LOCALIZATION.
ASKING FOR ANYTHING THAT ISN'T A SIMPLE COOLDOWN CHANGE IS SIMPLY WISHFUL THINKING.

  15. I posted this on another post but I wanted to put it in a suggestions post!!!!
IF there are EXP potions in the cash shop I think this would be a good way to solve the abuse that they get and settle a few arguments over who they do/should benefit!
(I know not everyone will agree but this is a suggested solution)

I'd like to elaborate what this would do:

Example one: A normal person with a job or other life responsibilities!
They only have anywhere between one hour to five to play the game, so to catch up to a friend of theirs they pop an XP potion. Poof. They gain say...10% more Xp.
And YEY they might catch up to their friend!!! Next time they both play they will be even and can play more together! They log off and while there is a debuff on them, they are offline doing LIFE things. More than likey this will have worn off by the time they get a chance to come back to the game!
^ This is a good/fair use of this item

Example two: No Lifer who spends all their cash on items to advance quicker in the game to surpass other people!
They somehow seem to have Zero responsibility in life and can spend seemingly endless amounts of time and money on a game despite never leaving the game world to see the light of day. This person pays for a bunch of these Xp potions and pops one and goes to grind. 5 hours tick by and then suddenly....Their Xp in take DROPS, drastically. Maybe they only get half, or even less of what they normally would. This debuff would last for the same amount of time that they got the buff for increased XP. They earned this debuff and they have to suffer though it or find something other than grinding to do. They can't simply pop another xp potion it has at least a 10 hour cooldown. Or once a day.

In this way it benefits the people who it should. It's more even and more fair towards the player base  in general if people can't simply pay to progress and zip though the game. In an mmo like this it's the journey not the destination that matters I believe.

Edit: I think what I was going for was somehow lost on people.
I do not want exp potions in the game at all, but this was just if we HAD to have them they shouldn't let people buy 20 of them and speed ahead of everyone super fast just because they can and (probably) end up at level 50+ wondering what to do and/or leaving the game. (or acting high and mighty because they spent money to skip a lot of work) Everyone should have to work at it...but it also shouldn't be impossible for people who can't play often to keep up or at least not fall so far behind that it's depressing.
It's kinda weird how people shot down the idea so harshly and only one person said they had a different idea. D8

    *shrug*

So, going forward how about suggestions on how to limit abuse of Exp potions assuming they are in the game?
