  1. What are the best things to put in your garden if you are going for profit only? Wanna place mine near to heidel, so the way is short.
And how do you guys manage to get the seeds, i know you can buy them off the AH but some of them are very expensive

After selling a couple thousand calpheon timber crates I wanted to get some exact numbers on how much I was potentially losing from market value depreciation from each crate sold. I spent a couple hours gathering data to derive the (near) exact values for the calculation of a trade item's sale value and how much it decreases with each item sold.

The major findings of the research are that:
Distance bonus is not a whole number in %, and for Trent to Valencia is closer to 99.84% distance bonus. Each trade item sold decreases the value of the next item by 0.27% of market value. The highest it can reach is exactly 130% naturally excluding boom nodes, and a floor of exactly 80%, only reachable by mass sales by players. The master buff is an exact 1.5 multiplier to value. The full equation for crate value isThe chart values for silver per batch of items sold is not 100% accurate, but a batch of 60 calpheon timber crates for me was off by less than 200 silver out of 14.6 million comparing the calculated value to in game silver, which I think is close enough.
I settled on 60 crates for my batch of 2300 because that was approximately 1 million silver lost per batch of 60 compared to selling every single crate at the full 130% market value, which would have taken absolutely forever.
Save a copy of the document for your own if you want to make lots of edits.
I don't know know how to do some of the fancier chart editing to make this a more functional document so if someone wants to make a copy, spruce it up and leave a link in the comments for people to view.

  4. Post on How you make money? in General

    Hey guys,

I know maybe you saw this question often in the forum and yeah I saw all the other Threads too, don't worry I did some research.

But at all those threads are all outdated and I know that I made also the same amount of money back in these days, as the community commented in those threads.

I mean atm the Blackstone drop is very very low and I kinda have the feeling that this whole grinding profit has changed since the awakenings came out...

But yeah still there are many people who do TET fails and etc.

How the fck am I supposed to make so much money, that I can build up failstack up to 40 and more and then also have enough money to do that shit again if it fails and also to got enough money that I can at least get my last stats back again... and that 3-4x a week? For me maybe 1-2 months since awa patch, lol

Do I really have to grind 16 hours a day to make at least a bit money for the fckn failstacks?

I mean yeah I got full DUO Gear and TRI liverto but I only got that bcs of the nice drops before awakenings come out, I mean I farmed at Helms Post 16 Blackstones/h 1 week before first awakening patch. Don't worry I also don't have a problem to get enough money to get Liverto to TRI if you got a bit of luck, but everything above seems to be unreal to get.. I don't even wan't to talk about kzarka or other boss gear I will never obtain

Please give me your secret money making methods Q_Q
  5. Put more Marine Romance Outfits (valkyrie, tamer, maehwa, sorceress prefered )  on the market, it cost 22 € and it is sold nearly for the same price as 29 € outfits, cap is only 200,000 less silver. It will help those who want this outfit before it vanish from the cash shop the 31 august while others outfits will stay forever.

  6. Hallo liebe Black Desert Gemeinde,

Darum sollte man nochmal überprüfen (neu anbauen).

Habe nun Garlic Farm angelegt.
  7. Hey Everyone,
I was thinking of taking a break from the constant grind and pick up a life skill. Now that hunting has been introduced into the game. Which alternate profession would be the most profitable in the long run? I don't mind having to work to eventually turn a profit. But i'd like to do something where I can watch Netflix and somewhat pay attention to what's going on in the game. Any advice is greatly appreciated!
    Thank you

  9. Hi, so I am wondering if there are some good and nodes that are worth putting points into? Should I move my costume miller from heidel to calpheon? Should I make calpheon my main city for crafting?
  10. Hey everyone, I would like to share some ideas I thought of.
    In-game
    1. Outfits - Solution to balance profit and customer approval - Win /Win
Players don't want to look like some peasant and Daum wants to run a business. Why not have both?
"Just" make a sort of "wardrobe". This means that the outfit types (i.e. Karlstein, Bern, ...etc.) are stored on a family-wide level and can be "retrieved" by any of your characters.
If you then buy the Karlstein-outfit for your Witch, your Ranger can now equip the Karlstein outfit. The Weapon outfits that are not included in the package you bought would have to be bought seperately, but also use the "wardrobe"-system.
This way, Daum's profits would propably increase: The cost-value relation seems much better, so more players would buy atleast one outfit. Also, the players that have already bought one outfit and didn't want to pay the price for another one, seeing how little it would get them, would now consider buying another one for their Alts.
This would require a lot of work (propably), but in the end it would be a win-win for everyone.

    2. Auction house fee
The auction house fee of -35% really feels like it severely cuts your profits for no good reason. Please, reduce it to like 10-15%.

    3. Shared professions (family-wide)
With the family system in place this seems like it should be a thing. The current system just feels weird and unnecessary. It also reduces the incentive to play other characters

    1. Sorting options
This might need a bit of work. Currently, one can only sort by "Last Reply", "Start Date" and things like that.
This means that If one wants to see what is currently in discussion, one will  get all the pre-release topics.
So what I would like to see is a option to only show the topics of this day/week/month.

    2. Communication
Daum really needs to communicate more with the playerbase.
For example, a really big update is scheduled for the next few day. However, we know next to nothing about it. We know that Daum said that nodewars would be available one month after release, so it could be just that. The problem is that they where saying "expansion", which would mean the Mediah update.
If Daum could give us atleast a vague idea what to expect in the near future and not at the same time the updates are released, this would go a long way to avoid confusion like this and additionally would improve company-community relations.

    3. Staff Tracker
On that note, the Staff Tracker only seems to track (duh!) staff topics - why not staff replies though?

  11. Suggesting the integration of a 2-Factor Authentication(2FA) for all Daum Cash purchases as well as relaxing fraud prevention heuristics for Daum Cash purchases.
Reason: Fraud prevention triggers too easy, and you're losing money out of the process.
Suggestion: Upon selection of a purchase of Daum Cash require the user credentials followed by another form of authentication (one-time-validation, personal question + captcha, etc). This should allow you to reduce the chances of a 24-hour lockout from the user. As well, help reduce your GM-tickets regarding the Fraud Prevention triggers.
  12. As you can see selling workers is or has been allowed in Korean(?) version. Why it isn't allowed in EU/NA version? Horse trading is allowed so why not worker trading? I would like to play as an sla.. eh, worker trainer.
I would really appreciate if I get an official answer! Do you have a sec? @CM_Jouska
    Cheers!
Sorry about multiple posts... using forums from my smartphone and got some errors while posting.

  15. I have seen screenshots of worker market, but I can't find one in our version of the game. Afaik, it should be available at the same dude who you hire workers from. Is it disabled or what? You can sell horses, but not workers...

Original thread can be found here: http://forum.blackdesertonline.com/index.php?/topic/2577-reinstate-localized-markets-remove-price-fixing/&page=1
    ORIGINAL OP:
I ask that DAUM and Pearl Abyss consider reinstating the localized markets and remove global auction and the fixed prices from Black Desert.
One of the major draws this game had for me was this concept of a market where I had to make an active effort to go out into the world and search for the best price, to bring my goods I gathered, crafted, or bought from another player and risk my skin and carriage against the threat of another player attacking as I ride across the region to make that extra 300 silver per sale in an economy driven entirely by supply and demand governed by the players. Travelling with a group of friends or hired mercenary players, slowly climbing my way to the top and purchasing bigger and better modes of transport. The connections made through trade, discussion and hiring of services. The healthy economics of commerce and supplying others with what they desire. The drive to push on through the risk of losing it all by the hand of another player. Being that player who risks his life and karma standing to steal a large haul from another. To have a real impact on the game world and how other players progress and play. In my mind this is the greatest part of Black Desert.
None of this can be done in the current state of Black Desert. Global auction completely eradicates the enjoyment of travelling to other areas to find a better deal, replacing it with an uninteresting system of arbitrary prices set by NPCs. There is no fun in participating in a system that should be built around the interaction between players if it isn't actually built upon it.
I can only ask that DAUM and PA please consider bringing back the system that was featured in early stages of this game. I hold deep concern that this game will lose out on a fascinating aspect of itself as it has in Korea, Russia and Japan should the decision be made not to change this system.
