    (English is not my first language so please do not hate me for my spelling or grammar mistakes  )
    I know it is already too late for a thread like this BUT I just wanted to make a suggestion that could balance the ods in PVP for all classes. We all know awekenings for each of the classes now, however if the awekenings would be changed they could be a great way to balance pvp, both in small and big scale PVP. Below I will explain how small/big scale pvp is at this moment and my suggestion on how it could be fixed:

    So many people hate that, for example, in Red Battlefield after more than 30 ppl participate it is a range AoE fest. Usually it seems like two sets of groups standing and AoEing each other to death form afar (that's why melee clases are a bit shit in big scale pvp - that's because they die before they can reach group of their enemies). 

    So the question is: 'How to make melee classes able to fight in large scale pvp?' or 'How to make a range class able to defend itself properly when focus in melee range?' The solution would be simple:
    GIVE ranged classes melee awekenings - GIVE melee classes range awekenings.
    Perfect Example would be classes like: Giant, Sorc, Ranger.
    1. Giant (melee class) got a cannon which he can use in large scale pvp without closing to the enemy - BRILLIANT!
    2. Sorc (mid-range) - A Scythe <3 I think everybody loves it :3
    3. Ranger (Range) - Rapier (sword or wahtever) - GREAT good range skills with your bow while having that sword you can always change to just to CC - slow or defend yourself against melee. 

    So why Musa shouldn't get a range awekening? Or Warrior? Ninja? etc. I love all the classes in Black desert (I hate the gender lock while I would love to play with male ranger "hunter" class) but some of them are just underpowered because of the weapons they use. 
    For example I love Ninja awekening, but 5-6 swords and heavy-armor (refering to new costumes added in the KR version :P) is not much silent killer style as ninja class was supposed to be, ninja awekening would suit blader a bit more  Secondly why not give ninja long range weapon like a "kusarigama" (knife on a chain). 

    Same thing for Warriors (Tamers,Musas,Maehwa, etc.), I love the greatsword, but it doesn't change the way you play so much, as range awekening would. You guys could make entirely different and new class weilding a greatsword for its main weapon.
    If all classes would be able to range attack and fight in melee range at the same time then it would fix the problem where Wizards and Rangers exceed so much in large scale pvp. Everytime you see someone with a high number above their head in Red Battlefield 90% its Wizards, rangers or sorcs. 

    There is much ramble in this but I had a lot of things I wanted to talk about and I didn't list them all yet. Probably gona add more later on.

    So I just came back to my Ranger after playing other classes, and after searching I noticed no one really has a list of what is affected by what for Ranger like with some other classes. 
    What skills are affected by movement speed, attack speed, and cast speed? 
    for example is evasion or call of sky affected by movement speed like Tamer's evasion and LBP? or does attack speed shorten the animation of certain skills as ranger or is it all the execution of some skills that shoot multiple arrows? Or whatever.

I play as a ranger with aim assist off, so I usually notice changes in hit boxes which require me to adjust slightly..  And while most are fine, some humanoid enemies have incredibly tiny hit boxes that often don't extend the entire body.  Especially the Giant's, you'd think they would be about as easy to hit as any enemy of their size but their hit box feels like a tiny circle on their gut with close to zero slack.  (An example location would be the cultist in the Southern Mountain Region)

Im a ranger and I just don't understand how it's fair for berzerkers to be able to grab me, throw me into the ground, then before I can even get up, they can grab me again, bind me and throw me again. There is literally no room for counterplay with this. All he has to do is grab me once and it's gg, nothing I can do.
    There should be a cooldown or immune period after you've already been hit with a form of cc or even throw in a recovery ability. Once i'm thrown to the ground there is nothing I can do but wait for my character to slowly get up while the enemy mercilessly beats the living hell out of me.
    I read that in the Korean version there is a 5 second cooldown between knockdowns. Why isn't this implemented here?

  9. Zuvor will ich nur sagen, ich will hier in keinster weise schreinen dass man uns einen male Ranger jetzt geben soll. Ich weis, dass es nicht von Daum abhengt ob wir je einen bekommen werden. Wollte nur fragen, wer wurde gerne einen Spielen.
    Einen elfen character in einem MMO mit Bogen und Schwert zu spielen war schon immer mein Traum, deshalb hoffe ich immernoch, dass er irgendwann noch rauskommt, selbst wenn alle skills die selben sind wie bei der female. Ich will nur Bogen und Awakening Schwert ^^
    Da bald in Korea Kamasilva (das elfen Territorium) kommt, wurde es doch passen wenn da auch der male Ranger mit der neuen Dunkelelfen Klasse kommt.  Die Leute von Pearl Abyss haben selbst gesagt, dass sie noch nicht wissen, was sie mit dem male Ranger machen sollen, also ist er noch nicht komplett gestrichen ^^.
    Also, wer von euch wurde gerne einen spielen?

    The countryside beckoned. Today was a day of sunshine and rambling for Aidala, with far too many apples packed into her satchel. The sunshine was brilliant, a radiant, singular all-watching eye, but not yet with the heat of late spring. The fields were no longer patches of rutted mud, each one was softly verdant, the new stems ruffled by the light breeze. To the unaccustomed eye the scene was a beautiful swathe of rolling green casually laid out like an eiderdown quilt, rising and falling in soft waves. Dividing the flat farmland were walls of trees covered in mossy green as mountains loomed behind curtains of translucent clouds, picturesque by any standards. Aidala stood upon the bark-colored tiles, her senses soaking in the changes since she had last stood upon this very same rooftop in winter. The air had more warmth and more fragrance. The music to meet her ears was an auditory painting from the winged artists overhead as they called, sung and raised their new families. It was almost enough to distract her from her fraying nerves as she placed a hesitant hand over her right arm, the place where the mark had appeared the previous evening. It was a small, black thing the size of her palm and looked like a serpentine dragon with wings. When it had appeared, the pain wasn't sharp like a needle point or a knife's edge, it burned into her flesh better than boiling water. An arrow would have been a mercy that evening, but with it's pain came the realization of what it meant: She would have to set out to join the others also chosen as she had been. She was now a woman of Sanctity.

    Many people will have the same idea of having a mature, fun guild dedicated to helping people.   12. Hello, I would like to comment on the ranger's pve playstyle right now (Mediah patch)!
    Even though my english does not suite the english community I would appreciate it ,if you read it all^^

    I would like to start by comparing my lvl 52 Sorc and my lvl 55 Ranger.
    Ranger: I had a lot of fun grinding through the endless grind until I hit lvl 55 and noticed how long it would take to hit lvl 56. Therefore I stopped at lvl 55 due to the chain-mana-potting and the missing ability to fight medium strong mobs 1v1 (waste of manapotions and I would have to carry more than 150 manapots )
    -> Yes , I am already using the "Magic Crystal of Infinity - Extraction"
    Sorc: !I dislike the ,in the future, upcoming awakening! but the easy grind with s+lmb made me continue playing Sorc. Her damage is insane, 2-3 shotting skeletons at Hexe Sanctuary and selfsustaining mana&hp-pool without using any potions at all! (The selfsustain works via Q while attacking with s+lmb(reduces casttime by 70%) and using bloodpool every 40 sec--
    This works so efficient that I usually only carry 50 potions for PvP!)
    My sorc stats: 123ap/158dp 5castspeed,5 Crit ,4 movespeed.
    My ranger stats #Edit#: 125 ap/158dp 5AS, 3Crit , 4 movespeed
    I honestly would love to play ranger but compared to Sorc it is way too weak in pve.
    I am requesting a buff for Ranger:
    **Make back the Umbrella nerf (I can't grind abandoned monastery with umbrella-shot anymore even though I became a lot stronger than before the nerf)
    **Lower the manacosts overall.. I only have 616 mana and shotgun needs about 150 mana per use (not useable for singletarget with this manacost)
    **Let the Ranger recover stamina while using Razor wind

    So after looking for a long while I'm still unsure what crystals to put into a Kzarka weapon as well as balance it out with my gloves to get the most efficient stats out of this, I know about the crystals later on but based on our patch right now any of you top tier rangers can give me a little guidance? I've heard some talks about skipping crit entirely maxing out 5 attack speed with about 2 crit 3 with a serendia special and only slotting the 5 AP in the weapon, something about the 10 extra AP outweighing the crit. I've tested a few things out for myself and I'm still unsure how to balance out the gloves and Wep, easy to get 5 of each but is it really efficient? Thanks in advance.

    Wollte mal fragen was ihr bevorzugt und weshalb?.. Bronzedolch oder Stahldolch?.. 

    Man liest immer wieder dass Bronzedolch empfohlen wird jedoch gibt Stahldolch jede Menge AP... 
    Ich sehe auch nicht wirklich eine Verbesserung wenn ich ihn mit Schwarzsteine upgrade, beim Stahldolch jedoch steigen die AP.

  16. After watching tons of videos and googling for hours I thought somebody here might help me: How is it called when I strafe left and right pressing LMB and press down RMB additionally? So pressing both mousebuttons while moving around? It's not Evasive Explosive and not Evasive or Ultimate Evasive...what is it? Is it anything? lol It seems to work for me, but I would like to know what I am doing. Thanks for any replies!

    I guess, near topic about sorc need to open topic about true cancer class of this game - ranger.
    As range class have probably the highest DPS from all classes in game, can 1-2 shot most classes and 3-4 shot hight DP tanks. Opposite to most classes, her best ultimate is spammable - shotgun. Beside range of attack and absurdly high burst DPS is also one of the most mobile classes in game, actually only sorc is more mobile than ranger.

    so i started grinding Soldiers Grave today a bit and hunted some Elite Skeletons there .. the problem ist - after i killed about 6-8 of them my weapon already lost ~46 ( yes im not exagerating) durability. Thats about 15 Minutes tops...
    i even got the weapon costumes that lower 10% weapon durability consumption.
    So how are you guys handling the durability issue? my friends who play other classes have no issue with repairing at all .. its pretty frustrating. Is it time to Riot like the berserkers?
  19. I had some spare time, so I decided to do a bunch of quick tests on Human Damage vs AP. Hopefully these data can be used in the future to determine an "accurate" formula for Damage.
    I won't go the length of writing thorough stuff as I did with my Accuracy thread, so I'll keep it brief.
    Me: lv53 Ranger. 
    Target: lv51 Wizard
    Testing methodology: use 5 attacks on the enemy and record how much damage each attack deals. Then proceed to increase my AP and Human damage and record how much damage I dealt.
    Sample size: 5 (it's low as it might not be enough to catch the exact range between MIN/MAX damage, but it's still enough to get a rough idea of how these two attributes work).
    Attacks used: Penetrating Wind IV (I only recorded attacks that landed all 3 hits and crit); regular Autoattack (with Bow Mastery X - I only recorded attacks that hit and did not crit)
    Stats & gear used: I did 3 groups of tests. The first was done with an Ultimate Styd Bow (with my "base" AP being 33) and enemy DP being 61. The second was done with a (green) Yuria +14 (base AP=69) and enemy DP being 61. The third was done with a (green) Yuria +14 (base AP=69) and enemy DP being 106. As for other items, I was running a 2Heve/2Zereth, Bronze Dagger +7 with a DUO:Kalis Amulet. The additional AP was provided by a PRI:Bares Belt and 2xPRI: Ring of Good Deeds (total of +9AP); the additional +Human Damage was provided by a PRI:Yuria Belt and 2xPRI Yuria Earring (total of +9 Human Damage). 
    Results in the spoiler below:
    Conclusion: Human Damage is not pure damage (you can see it from the results of the Autoattacks tests) and is hugely affected by the enemy DP. Aside from this, on equal amounts, +AP performed very slightly better in any test (in terms of Average Damage); however, the MIN and MAX damage recorded were very similar - so similar that, considering RNG, it is entirely possible that +Human Damage behaves the same as +AP (at least against Human targets). Also, it looks like that +Human Damage scales with Critical Hits (the values registered for the Penetrating Wind attacks are really close).
    Question: if what I wrote above is true, then I am not surprised that, in terms of hit damage, Ultimate Yuria dealt more damage than a Liverto (I can't find the link currently, but I remember someone stating that, by his tests, Yuria>Liverto in terms of hit damage) - at least in PvP. However, the additional socket on the Liverto alongside the (assumed) higher Accuracy value might make Liverto still better in terms of raw DPS. Further testing is required on this.
    (I have around 150Millions in my bank and around 150 Black Weapon Stones. If I manage to get a Liverto, I'll immediately move to upgrade it and conduct a lot of tests on this matter as well).
    TL;DR: Human Damage is not pure damage and is hugely affected by the enemy DP; you'll never be wrong with stacking AP. However, at least against Human Targets (PvP), it looks like Human Damage behaves the same.
    Any comment is appreciated. If you have any data on this, please do share (but remember to include the conditions, methodology and sample size) so that we can comment on it.

    EDIT: According to SukkIa, you can find some rough tests on Yuria (green) vs Liverto here: http://forum.blackdesertonline.com/index.php?/topic/6514-liverto-vs-yuria-discussion/&page=7#comment-282101 
    ...his results kind of matched mine. Just for clarification:
    Green Yuria +15: 68-73 AP
    Blue Liverto +15: 78-82 AP
    This means that the Liverto has "innately" 10 more AP than the Yuria. However, against human targets, Yuria has a "base" of +5 Damage against Humans, along with an unspecified amount given by the +15 Enchantment. 
    Now, if what he says is correct - that is, you need a 5AP crystal on the Liverto to get the same base damage -, then it meant that a +15 Green Yuria has nearly +15 Damage Against Humans (+5 base, and +10 given from enchantments).
    EDIT2: Some tests performed by Skeling (he had a bigger sample size, so they are more reliable) showed similar results to the ones I had: more specifically, they showed that, even on Critical Hits, +Human Damage is very close to AP in terms of damage increase.

    I am new to BDO. I just started testing out the game this week. I have noticed something in-game that I am wanting some clarification on. 
    I like to play ranged classes, specifically Wizard. However, in this game I have noticed that the distance you can cast spells (or shoot arrows for ranger) is very limited and you must get close enough for the reticle to turn red before you can actually hit a target. I can't shoot the birds flying overhead, or anything more then maybe 10m away. 
    So my question is this: Does the distance for ranged attacks increase with character progression or is that just how it is in BDO?

  22.  I chose the class because it was deemed highest mobility and dps.
    i want my build to be all about pvp 1v1's  but I also read that you have to do PvE to gear up for it. Is this true?
    Another thing I want is for my mobility to be insane. I am a very good player and outplaying opponents is what I live for. If I have to lose dps to accomplish this, will it still be viable? 
    lastly. What are the must have skills that all rangers should have regardless  if they are doing pvp or pve

    I am an old wow player, very casual these days and have just purchased Black desert after not playing any game seriously for a year or so.
    I am really keen to dive back into an MMO once more and while I'm waiting for the client to download I thought I would ask some advice
    I am probably going to main a wizard and my alt will probably be a tamer or a melee class (warrior or berserker)
    However can I please get some advice on the end game status of the classes?
    Specifically I would like to know their PVP and PVE end game status but also any relevant MUST KNOW stuff before I devote 50+ hours into something
    BTW -- My main toons over the years in wow were a frost mage for pvp lolz and a lock played all three specs mainly for pvp. Most of my time was spent either grinding or in end games bg's hence my curiosity about the end game status of the classes
  24. This was brought up to my mind when we found out that for the $100 pre-order package, Valkyrie was getting a samey armor set in-line with the more mobile female classes. It visually and within game logic makes NO SENSE because Valkyrie is a significantly more tanky class than even Warrior. Even Wizard was getting full plate when Witch wasn't.
    I'm suggesting there should be more heavy armor type sets (maybe even plate, with a helmet!) for the female classes. I'm personally all for the different types of underwear and their current unique outfits, but I'd REALLY love heavy armor sets for all female classes that doesn't go out of it's way to expose skin. For example: use the Warrior's plate armor costume as a reference. That set looks SICK, like it came from a Souls game. More stuff like that, with a different design and stuff for the other classes, also women!
    I personally just want my Plum to look badass...
  25. hello I'm trying to get into black desert finally but when I try to play as my ranger some of the attacks don't affect the monsters at all the just get hit and automatically heal ignoring everything I did to them, this makes it insanely hard to farm monsters and continue playing the game. So far I really dont know why this issue is happening, most likely a connection based issue but I've tried everything and nothing's fixing this problem. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.
