  1. This only works for windows 10 and it will only work for a very small amount of people.
If you play at 60 fps and it dips constantly down to 15 fps (Mostly in combat) Then this might be a fix for you.
Is your desktop background a slideslow? Simply change it to a single picture and NOT a slideslow.
Worked for me, might work for others figured I'd say something.
  2. CPU: AMD FX 8300 Vishera 8-core 95W Overclocked to 4.2GHz
    GPU: Nvidia GTX 970 4Gb
    Motherboard: MSI 970 Gaming AM3+
    RAM: Corsair Vengeance 16Gb DDR4 2400MHz
OS: Windows 10 Pro 64 Bit
FPS maxes out at 25-30 even on low settings out in the open, and as soon as I go into town, it drops to below 10 FPS. all the while, I'm getting extreme stuttering issues. I tested it on a friends PC (specs below) and was getting 30+ FPS in town with no stuttering. Anyone have any tips?
    Friend's PC:
    CPU: i7 3770 3.4 GHz
    GPU: GTX 750 TI
    Motherboard (unknown)
    RAM: Corsair Vengeance 16Gb DDR3 2400MHz
OS: Windows 10 Home 64 Bit.
Other than the CPU, there's no reason why a GTX 970 should be running so low on this game. I've overclocked the CPU, disabled power saving settings such as cool and quiet, and even made sure the driver versions are up to date.
  3. Alright so yesterday I restarted my bdo, was wondering why it was taking forever to launch, then I had stuttering and freezing, which I shouldn't have because I have a beast of a computer and I have been playing without a problem since I have built this computer.
Anyhoo, wondering what the hell it is, doubt it's a hardware problem because yeah, I know what I am doing on that end haha, 7700k @ 5GHz / M.2 Samsung 960 / 1080 / Windows 7 - Specs
Anyone else had this issue? I have
1 - set all settings to low, nothing
2 - DDU nvdia drivers and then installed newest, nothing
3 - Set compability settings to everything and checked the dpi settings, nothing
    4 - repaired bdo, nothing
    5 - ran sfc /scannow, nothing
    Got any ideas?
  4. Hi guys,

Just wanted to let everyone know about this before you'll end up spending couple of days reinstaling software, programs, playing with nvidia/amd settings etc. LIKE ME

So recenlty i upgraded my gaming laptop to GT83VR 7RF, it's really beast machine so I was wondering why the hell I'm still experiencing some FPS drops and stuttering while playing the game.
After trying ALMOST EVERY solution possible, that includes registry editing, windows files editing, messing with nvidia settings etc I found out that the Micro-Stuttering I had is caused by God damn Marketplace.

    Found this post on reddit

"OK, don't know if this is just a placebo-effect or pure coincidence, but if you have the problem that your game from time to time suddenly starts to stutter like crazy or FPS are for no reason suddenly very low, than try the following: Open the menu, click on market place, go to "mine" and close the window with the X. I read that somewhere else here on reddit and... it's crazy, but it seems to work. Someone mentioned that there could be some bugged routine with the window that shows the marketplace and that black spirit minigame, so it sometimes needs huge amounts of CPU time for no reason. Don't know if this is true. As i wrote: Not sure if this is maybe just coincidence, but try this when you have the problem too."
As I checked, this soulution works especially for MICRO-STUTTERING (check youtube how it looks like, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5LkokfEeaIQ - here is a good example on witcher 3) BDO has this problem that if you start to micro-stutter it wont go off after you "close the marketplace properly" so it's reeaaaaaaaalllllly annoying. I was experiancing drops from constant 60FPS in the open to jumping arround like crazy 44,48,58,61,35 even when idle.

I hope this helps guys and you won't end up like me with reinstalling almost every software you have. Have a good one!
There is one more thing. Apperantly cohorent in your processess of CPU causes to overheat it and uses too much of your cores power. If you want smooth gameplay make sure u force to close it. I was told that you won't be able to browse marketplace after this so make sure you know what you are doing. Restart the game if u want MP back.
  5. Is anyone else experiencing stuttering after leaving the first major city or town (since logging in and starting their BDO "play" session)? However, unlike most stuttering, this one completely resolves after restarting BDO, and of course avoiding any city or town, or else it will come back and stay until you restart again! >.<
EDIT: simply passing through a town or city does not cause any issues but if you spend some time there, and leave, then the problem will start!
Has anyone experienced this before? Did you manage to find and fix the problem? If so, how?
It is such a strange problem! It is as if the "lag" in towns is contagious! @_@ And the only solution is to "cleanse" your computer by restarting the game!
    EDIT: Solution
Ok turning on High-End Mode in screen options fixed it! However, after turning it on it did not work immediately. It only worked after restarting BDO, and possibly my computer.
I know that seems strange but it worked!
I got the idea from i think an official "troubleshooting" guide https://blackdesert.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/212282889-FPS-Issues
EDIT: It is the marketplace bug as many call it ...
If you are stuttering or "lagging", try opening the world map up in the game. Next, open the marketplace in the bottom right corner. Lastly, click 'X' in the top right corner to close the marketplace. See if you notice a difference now!
  6. Hey guys. I've been trying to get into BDO for awhile but I'm experiencing a strange stutter issue. I was wondering if anyone else was experiencing something like this, and if so, if you have any solutions.
My issue is that my game will run at 60 FPS, but about once every 1-3 minutes the FPS counter in-game will momentarily drop to 53-55 FPS.
While it's only a 5-7 FPS loss, the way this affects gameplay is a momentary stutter/freeze. It really ruins the smooth flow of combat and honestly completely ruins my immersion. It's like all I can notice is this stutter.
Even if I'm in a field with no monsters or players with the camera faced towards the ground, I experience the stutter every 1-3 minutes. I've tried every combination of in-game settings / nvidia cpanel settings and I just can't seem to ever remove this.
Is this just something that people who are playing live with? I've noticed on streams and videos that other people seem to experience the same thing. I just want a smooth experience so I can get immersed in the game and truly enjoy it. Any solutions would be extremely appreciated. I'm very curious if this happens to other players as well, you may not have noticed it but I have a feeling it is.
    Things I have tried:
Full screen / full-screen windowed modeAll in-game options unchecked / lowest setting seems to make NO difference, the stutter is always there.Vsync on/off & Gsync on/offMy specs:
980ti / 3930k CPU / 16 Gigs Ramgame installed on SSD (I've tried multiple SSD/HDD even and it still has this stutter).
  7. Hey guys im getting bad stuttering on eu servers even in the desert im stuttering like is to the point where the game is unplayable for me i have to shut the game down and reopen it and the stuttering is gone but after about 30min - 1hour its start's again or if i switch to alt or server it starts.   and i no this is not my pc's problem dont happen with anyother game.  Please fix!
Just editing to say my temp's on pc is fine too  cpu temp is like 45-50c    and gpu is like 58-60c
  8. Hey.

How is it possible to sit on a stable 60 FPS and have no latency issues or stutters on one channel, then switch to another and immediately drop to 20-30 FPS, 0,3 second input delay and get game stutters every 10 seconds. I have deleted my cache, on suggestion from a fellow player, but to little avail. I, nor any of my guildies experience this on any other channel than Valencia C1 on Croxus, coincidentally also the channel I have spent most of my time on.

I am writing here in hopes someone has an ingenious solution to my problem. As it stands currently the channel is borderline unplayable for me.
  9. Idk why it stutters like this now recently. Never experienced it before. It came after the Windows 10 Anniversary update. But now I have reinstalled windows to see if it fixed it. Apparently it has not. My computer:
    Intel High end cpu
    32 gb ram
It has NEVER stuttered like this. You can see the fps dropping like every so often and the stutter is too noticeable. I tried changing channels, tried putting the computer in HIGH Performance mode and even put BDO to High in the Task Manager.
The only thing that has changed for me recently is that I went from 500 mbit to 100 mbit. But it did not stutter like this when I was on 2 mbit internet for 3 weeks.
Is there tips and tricks to fix this? I tried rolling back to a very old driver to see: 353.54
Maybe there is a better and more stable driver?
I want to mention that I have a G-Sync monitor as well and the game runs on stable 80 fps (hence when recording) and the occasional stutter every 10 seconds.
Please give me any tips or tricks.
I have not noticed this when fishing or standing still. Only when moving on foot and horse. Can this be server related?
  10. Well first off, thanks for taking the time! Here's my specs. Intel Core i7-2600 Sandybridge @ 3.4 GHz, 16 GB 1600mhz DDR3, 1 TB WD-Black 7200, NVIDIA GTX 770 4GB GDDR5, EVGA 850W PSU, Windows 10 Pro x64. Computer is spic and span internally. Clean of bugs.
First off, this has been an ongoing issue for me for about 2.5 weeks. About 50% of the time that I play this game, it runs butter-smooth. I get great frames, no 'jolty' stuttering etc. The issue seems to start happening 'all of a sudden!' Game gets a tad choppy, not anything off-the-chart and frames stay high around 55-60 ( with vsync ) But it gets much worse when in combat. Even stranger yet, if I pick up loot, the game will ALWAYS stutter for a moment right as I press 'R' (to pick up loot) Also, (being a warrior) when I use Scars of Dusk skill, it almost always stutters. Mind you, these issues are only happening when my computer/game or whatever decides it's going to have a moment... which usually last for hours or longer. The rest of the time, the game runs like silk... whaaaa!? Here's what I've tried, to no avail.
Rolling back drivers all the way to 350.12 (Win7/8 drivers) Seemed to make the game run better, but then the game crashed, displaying a message something about wrong resolution or something... Also tried 361.9 and 664.72 (latest drivers) , same issues. Furthermore, I removed GeForce experience as well just to see.
Tried swapping RAM with a completely different set.Tested all of my temps, all check out perfectly.Tried literally EVERY graphic setting in the game, even on lowest setting and with photo filter off etc, the problem persists.Disabled virus protection. (Avast and SUPERAntiSpyware) as well as EVGA Precision X,Ran in 'Admin' Windows XP SP3 Compatibility Mode.
