I saw a few quetions from new players in the chat, but i doubt you constantly have wave of new players everytime.

Imho, our version have to correctly fix somes stuff to correctly attract ( a lot of ) new players ^^

The initial hype train has already left station. All that's left now is for us to slowly waste away, languish and die.

Pretty much this. Progression is now tied to our energy bars.

theres tons of chat....

at the beginning there were not alot of questions going around... there was alot of trolling and other shit going on.  To the point where many probably just turned chat off or switched it from int to english which filters 99% of chat.

Most of the time I end up PM'ing the guy asking questions in channel. That one energy could be the difference between duo and tri :P

Picked up like 3-4 new players in our guild this week... and not "new to the guild" either.

Channel chat is dead because of the energy cost plus it was so full of bs trolling for so long basically everyone turned it off that I know.

There should still be new people joining, but there are also many returning players.

I never used channel chat because most messages were simply stupid. I suppose most people realized there is no point in reading such a chat and turned it off as well.

BDO is a pond that never overflow, there is as many or less players joining as there is players leaving and I'm fairly sure that the game will be at its lowest in end of August (Legion release)

this is the most appropriate, and best answer to the OP question.  Look no further.

If there are any new players, they are very few in numbers. It's becoming painfully apparent they won't be able to compete with older players and that you'll spend 90% of your game time grinding and gathering, and the 10% where you can pvp it's gear>>skill. Tbh if I was new I'd say shit game and move on.

Because talking in Channel or RP chat uses our energy, and it isnt worth it.

I only talk in Channel or RP chat if I know I wont be using my energy on anything that day.

Otherwise if I have a general game question, I either go here, search google or just go to BDO Foundry.

My guild is the only group I really need to be constantly talking to.

BDO is a pond that never overflow, there is as many or less players joining as there is players leaving and I'm fairly sure that the game will be at its lowest in end of August (Legion release)

I think the time of WoW expansions leeching massive amounts of players from other MMOs is kind of done.

People will play Legion, then move on once they consume it, just like WoD had a massive population drop once people finished the first raid content.

So because people learned the game and divided themselves into guilds  its dead...wut.

I don't know what server you play on but yes there are new players. If you are on Orwen you can see them starting out in Velia or in Channel chat asking questions.

You may have also flagged your channel chat off if you see absolutely nothing happening there. Might be worth a check.

The only reason BDO wouldn't get new players is if they were forced to read the forums before joining.

Channel Chat was terrible when the game first came out. Now that I have a guild i only do guild chat because I'll get more reliable feedback whenever I have a question.
