Yes you can buy a legendary for about 200$, but it gives you increase of ~2% total stats if you do not have ascended egar already. While in bdo, you increase your power by 2,5,10 times...

Yes, exactly, agreed, balanced in GW2.

The difference in gear power is intrinsic to this game. That doesn't mean that it's impossible to balance this system to BDO.

There was no legal false advertising on their part. Basically it's this . . . .

Lets say I buy a washing machine that advertises to be extremely quiet. I get it home and it's loud. I try to get a refund for false advertising and I'm denied.

Why? Because the noise level is different from one person to another. Whats quiet for you may be loud to me.

Same situation here. First off, they never used a "never will be P2W"  slogan as a selling tool. Second, whats considered P2W for you may not be considered P2W to someone else as in the example I gave about about the washing machine. Personally I don't consider it P2W. It's a convenience for those that don't want to or can't pay cash shop prices and allows them to pay with silver.  Also, like in my case, I have a hard time making silver and cannot buy items ( good gear ) to be competitive. So this update benefits both types.  The only people that are complaining are those that have high-end gear and/or like to slaughter us that can't afford it. It's not P2W, it's "pay to be able to compete"

I got side tracked. Basically, nobody is eligible for a charge-back at this point unless Kakoa voluntarily agrees to refund their money. And if you read the terms of agreement when you bought the game, you don't qualify for a refund. So, if anyone is unhappy, and many are, it's just a cut-n-run if you don't want to play anymore.

Anyone who has played mmo's in the past should have seen this coming from the beginning. I did and many others I know did. Do we were expecting it. No biggie. We'll still be here when everyone else leaves.

Thats my thing too, I suck shit at making money. Doesnt mean I dont put the effort in grinding my items up just got my first PRI:Ultimate. but god Id love to buy some of the armor that sits in the market all day to speed things along.

I have a better solution how a bout reduce the prices of cash shop items,so everyone can buy them at least once...This is not a solution for us as players, this is a solution for you and PA as greedmongers trying to bleed and milk every single penny you can..what a sham you guys are..It's fine we will find a better game to play, while u screw yourself over and kill the game :)

How can you be so thick? You think "nolifers" cannot use cash shop to get even more ahead of you, casual? Sorry to burst your bubble but you are very blind. Also if you have a family and you are going to spend your family's money on this game to p2w i feel so sorry for your wife and kids.

Also, most people do not sweat from their eyes afaik.

And you think Daum will accept your foodstamps/welfare check as payment? I personally doubt that but have hope brother maybe one day.

Nolifers tears are so good :D

The best part is people are forgetting that costumes are typically in 3-5 pieces depending on it so one costume eats up your entire weeks worth of cash shop to marketplace selling. currently the no lifers are already making 400 mil+ a week. All this will do is make it so that casual players who have extra cash can now have a chance to compete with the no lifers and thats why people are upset.

ABSOLUTELY! I agree. You hit the nail on the head!

Noise level can be measured objectively though

Wonder if people realize it'll cost close to 1000 dollars worth of cash shop items to be able to afford a piece of TRI boss armor. Which almost no one will ever do and are almost never seen on the AH.

The big complaint here is "P2W" or so these people claim.

But we all know what it's really about, the "no life kings" who control grinding zones are now mad that casuals who don't have the time to gear like them can now gear up and be a threat to the control.

Answer this geniuses:

Whale puts up five costumes a week. Who exactly is buying his costumes to support whales p2w fund?

Answer: -----ing no one. No one is going to sink 50 mil+ silver for a cosmetic item that they more than likely already have, and if they don't have it, they still won't. They'll put that 50+ mil silver instead towards upgrading their gear that **is not** available on the pearl shop. Thus, the conclusion, the "p2w" whale doesn't sell anything to be able to "p2w".

if they ignore it they will loose most of their users (money for them)

nonsense! You cant give children everything they cry for! Same thing applies here! There has been done more in BDO for the Community and the game itself than all other MMO games have ever done for theirs!

The developers have just a too good heart for those brats thats all! And this will cost them in the end more ..they should simbly let those players go and clean the game and community that way too!!

But lets face it..those crying players are addicts! And the last thing you do is give into the demands of addicts!

Greetings Adventurers,

Today we are writing you to provide insight into a new mechanic you can expect to see next week, following the normally scheduled maintenance.  After detailed discussions with the Developers at Pearl Abyss, it has been decided that the Value Package, Outfits, Costumes and Pets will be made available via the Market Place.  We, the Kakao Team, understand the impact of such a change and wish to provide as much information as possible, therefore we are explaining this change in advance to grant clarity.

We understand that this change will spark discussions, and have asked Pearl Abyss to share their thoughts behind this decision.  Pearl Abyss considers in-game accessibility to Pearl Items necessary in Black Desert.  Regardless of the region, there will always be players who, for whatever reason, do not get to experience all the features Black Desert offers, including Pearl Shop Items.  Adding a mechanic that grants access to Pearl Shop items with in game currency will allow more players to enjoy such content.  They are open to the community’s feedback and ask you to share your thoughts and concerns about this change.

We have communicated your feedback about such changes and your concern for players potentially being able to invest real money in order to gain an advantage, and in response Pearl Abyss has built limitation mechanics into the game.  Players will be limited to selling five items from the Pearl Shop on the Market Place per week.  This compromise will still provide in game accessibility but restrict how much can be gained via real money investment.

As we have stressed in the past, your feedback is paramount to us, and that is still true.  We encourage you to share your thoughts on this change as Pearl Abyss has requested.  However, we ask that you do so in a non-abusive but constructive manner.  We will continue to communicate on your behalf, and thank you in advance for your efforts.

-The Kakao Team

So can I be refunded for the money I spent to get said items?  I'd rather buy them with silver.

You guys may not think this is a big deal, but look at the uproar. Half my guild is already talking about quitting. The worst part is most of them are the OLDEST PLAYERS.

You've been able to buy Legendaries since they released the game. & The level of gear diffence doesn't matter, it's intrinsic to this game, if you don't like it you shouldn't have play this game to begin with. Fact is in GW2 you can buy Stats with irl money and no one complains about it because it is done right, they could achieve the same balance for this game. So don't doom this before you've even seen it.

It does matter. No one complains about it in GW2 because the differences are small in PvE, and non existant in PvP. Here. They are large, and unlike most games where gear eventually begins to give diminishing returns on power, the gap actually gets bigger. Different games with different designs will be able to do different things and not be called p2w. I don't have to doom it. The perception is already there. The game was already treading close, but this change has pushed the perception well into the p2w area. there will be an exodus if this goes through. Will it kill the game to the point it shuts down? Probably not. Is it a sacrafice of long term potential customers for quick cash of the whales? Yes it is.
