Cashshop items to Auctionhouse

13 posts in this topic

How much is the cashshop items going to be worth with in game currency?

example $30usd costume = 30 million silver? when does this patch come into play?

no one' going to sell anything in the cashshop if their not even going to get their moneys worth.

30 million silver is not even worth the price of boss armor! its not even counting enchanting and buying more pieces to enhance it.

pretty much your wasting money for not even half the chance to be better then any one. the people who put these items on the AH are literally already the best  player in game and will be the riches and they haven't spent a dime.

No one knows yet because it hasn't come into the game yet.

They haven't released the numbers for our version yet, and we can't get an accurate idea of what it will be based on the other regions due to them having different publishers, or Daum treating KR differently from NA/EU (at least previously).

and boss armor sales pretty much 300 mill +

theirs literally no one going to be over powered right off the bat.and I am pretty sure every'one has liverto by now with half boss armor set.

if they didn't have a complete set with the cashshop they will be able to buy that last missing piece about a months time.

i cant understand why people don't like the feature. with the RNG in BDO  theirs really not going to be any one over any one else.

besides the people who place the items on the AH any way. the original player who farm for the material will still be the riches player in game. and they spend nothing.

the person who is buying from the cashshop will still be broke in game cause spending and selling all their items to begin with. to atleast get some kind of leverage to compete with any one in the game.

But most people don't have boss gear lol, I know lots of super hardcore players that only have 1 piece or none at all, either they have got it through night vendor and that was only introduced 2 weeks or so ago.

if daum/kaokao what ever could lower the price of cashshop items and allow it to be sell-able on AH it will crash the market for costumes.

thus making a balance. Like Tera MT all cashshop costumes sell for about 10,000 silver and rare ones about 30,000 to 70,000.

any one could afford a costume around $10 thus making the costume less valuable since any'one can afford it. rare costumes should be the most pricey since you wont know when there coming back.

I don't have anything at all xD

still running around with +13 heve with a +15 yuria. all I want is to sell cahshop items to buy horses really. I really play this game for horses lol

I cant afford anything cause I am worried about armor ect.. and I don't know where to start.

but if daum do this right and make the prices fair every one still has a chance. this is still a B2P game so not all the toxic folk are here yet. so it should still be quiet tame.

Because if it's a matter of requiring catch-up mechanics for casual or new players, than there are better ways to go about it than turning the game P2W. That is a change which negatively affects everybody and nullifies player effort by rewarding those who simply pay their way to the top.

If it's about extending the cash shop items to players who cannot afford them, brainstorm ways to provide players with access to them without going P2W.

A couple examples:

  1. Let players choose between paying 100% pearls for cash shop purchases, or 50% pearl 50% silver. So rather than $30 for a costume they could pay $15 + 50million silver. This keeps P2W out while making the cash shop more accessible.
  2. Introduce ingame equivalents to the cash shop items. Rather than a ghillie suit, allow players to craft a bandit mask in the costume workshop. The bandit mask would conceal their nameplate like the ghillie suit does.

If it's about giving catch-up mechanics to players who do not have the time to play, brainstorm ways to make the game more accessible to casuals without going P2W.

  1. Servers/Channels with enhancement caps for gear so you aren't outgeared when trying to play on them
  2. A "rested" type bonus acquired while logged out granting extra XP and/or silver drops during it's duration so only casuals benefit
  3. Fixing the broken L49 progression lock quest and raising the PvP level to 50 as in KR
  4. Changing the heavy RNG endgame gear treadmill to something you can actually make progress on without having to dedicate your life to the game

It doesn't have to be an automatic leap to P2W, and there are ways that they could avoid it and actually improve the game for everyone - as well as make it more attractive to new customers and keep their reputation from being completely destroyed.

1. you mean people can buy silver with pearls or people who want to buy pearl items can pay $15 plus the rest in silver?

that wasn't quiet clear.

about catch up mechanics

1. adding servers is $ money. they would have to grant every'one who want to move a server change but you will loose items so not even worth it.(unless you can go with every single item you have including workers and city items slots you have purchased) don't think they will be willing to do this cause $money.

2. pvp wouldn't be a problem if gear wasn't so hard to get in the first place. (plus balancing) this is what makes me miss dungeons. cause you what your getting.

3. by all means they need to fix that ring. just remove it from game. or make items purchasable from a NPC that stop breakage/help with enchanting.

if their was a player controlled market the issue wouldn't be as bad as it is. cause people can set there own worth of their goods.

That they could pay in pearls, or a mix of pearls + silver. This way it would make the cash shop a bit more accessible to those without as much disposable income.

They could even limit the pearl + silver purchases to a small number per month or week, like they are proposing to do for the selling of cash shop goods.

Speaking for myself, I haven't bought any costumes because I feel they are way overpriced for being single-character bound. But if I could buy them at a more reasonable price plus a whack of silver than I could see myself picking up a number of them.

Adding servers costs money, but if they are adjusting this for the playerbase than they could tweak the current servers and channels we have. There are 12 channels if I'm remembering correctly, so setting aside 3 of those for gear cap channels wouldn't be that bad.

Just using some example numbers...

  • Channel 1 caps gear at +5
  • Channel 2 caps gear at +10
  • Channel 3 caps gear at +15
  • The remainder of the channels are up to +20.

If you attempt to go onto a channel with gear that would be above the cap than it would lower your stats to the cap for as long as you're on that channel. This way casual players can play on channels where hardcore players with tons of time won't be able to have such a massive gear gap advantage. It also makes the game a lot more accessible to new players so that they aren't having to compete with highly geared players right off the bat.

that sounds better. i just wish they lower the pearl cost all together i spent so much trying to decorate all my alts plus their own horses...

The cash shop items on the market will be low priced at first not to let the community flame on the publisher. They will just try to convince us that selling cash shop items on the market isn't p2w. Then they will start to increase the prices slowly. I witnessed that on KR server. For example costumes...They were 30m at first. Then 40-50-60-70..finally 100 on KR now. So, if you save some money now and buy the item you need for 30m now, you will feel very lucky when that item becomes 100m :D

i can see this happening.. to bad its not a player controlled market.

The only reference we have are dyes.

Dyes are 20M in other regions, here its 5M.

So one can assume the costumes will be maybe 25m.
