Hi there, probably this topic has been already discussed in the past but from the search function I didn't find anything about pvp with this same focus.
I'm asking this because there are lots of players which can't play more than a few hours each day, but which would still loves to do pvp. With this system they would get a chance to do it without having to worry about gear or level.

 

What do I mean for "instanced equalized pvp":

- character level fixed to 60 (or more depending on the upcoming patches)

- fixed ammount of pvpAP/DP (maybe different for each class for balance reasons)

- pvpAP/DP will be the only stats on which the damage will relate on, so that the regular AP/DP will be useless in instanced pvp;

 

Where to do "instanced pvp":

- Instanced equalized small arena, good for 1v1 or 3v3;

- instanced equalized large arena, good for 15v15 or more, with objective based pvp (capture the flag, checkpoint/base holding, siege simulation, etc);

- instanced non equalized small arena;

- instanced non equalized large arena;

 

What do you get by doing instanced pvp:

- pvp tokens, which would be obtainable ONLY through instanced pvp;

- achiveing a victory would give you more tokens than a lose;

- tokens will be directly exchanged for pvpGear from a specific NPC or eventually from the Black Spirit;

 

Fully PvP oriented gear:

- it will give you only pvp oriented stats/bonuses;

- pvpAP for weapons, pvpDP for armors, and so on (in this way it will be useless outside instanced pvp);

- different type of gear for each class (something like "warrior battle gear", "musa battle gear", etc) with set bonuses on skills of that specific class;

- the gear would be NON enchantable, raw stats for everyone;

- there will be more tiers of gear and for each one to be crafted the previous one plus more tokens will be needed;

- superior tier gear sets would have higher raw stats and better set bonuses;

- all the pvp gear would be account bind, so that it can't be sold in marketplace or traded in any way;

- PvPGear would cover every piece of gear (jewelry, weapons, armors, crystals);

 

Actually the pvp content of BDO is still "young" so maybe the devs already have in mind something similar to this but, even in the preview of what's coming in KR servers in the next season, this type of content is still missing.

I agree with everything other than the PvP gear thing, simply because all other gear in the game would then be neutralized. I'd be okay with cosmetic rewards or titles, however.

They used to have somewhat equalized PvP in Red Battlefield. Then elitists cried because their gear couldn't carry them and they couldn't two shot people, so they changed it to what it is now.

well the pvp gear is intended to work only in instanced pvp, so it wont affect the rest of the game in any way
