Forced to go on welfare to gear up in BDO

Theere are only 3 ways to get decent gear for PvP in this game .

1. Be a 14 year old living in your mom's basement and play all day

2. Be rich and spend hundreds of $$ on BDO

3. Get on welfare and play all day

I'm not rich and I'm not 14  so my only option is to quit my job  and get on welfare .

or you can play a few hours on weekdays and a bit more on weekends and make a Shit ton of money through the games various passive sources, enough to have full Tri easily.

I knew its difficult to imagine  when people have their heads buried in a crazy Jack's ass

Typical answere of somone who waste his time running arround the map pointlessly instead of grinding and try to find an excuse for his incompetance.

Try to find or ask for a solution instead coming on forum to justify yourself and look for complacency.

Maaaaaybe grow up and stop crying? That should be #4. Kill daily bosses, save your daily boss scrolls from the black spirit. Join a guild and run them with other people that also have some.
It's not difficult.

sarcasm aside, casuals are the ones who need to get their heads out of sausages and use passive sources of income.to many people just waste such a beautifully made resource

Step 6...  Wait did someone do step 6?

Step 7).  Stop being a lil'batch!

lolololol

No but seriously, the mentality that "you have to compete" is so flawed in so many ways, the reason you should be playing is for fun, if you are not having fun, in my humble opinion, you are playing for the wrong reasons.  I'm sitting at like PRI/DUO gear, I have a long way to go, but its only a matter of time before I have like full TRI/TET, its just, with the amount of play time I get, this is gonna be like 6+ months from now, no need to rush *shrug*

Seems to me some players are magicians, like lvl 58 with top end boss gear lots of silver, not much grinding (lvl 58 ?!), making silvers with life skills not grinding and working 8-12 hours daily with no day off ?? I dont buy that bullshit

First of all to reach lvl 58 you have to grind a lot. Gathering if not shoveling takes lots of time to sink lets say 300 energy. Life skills, processing, AFK fishing or AFK processing, worker empire, cook for workers, crates crafting, multiple high level good geared alts parked at world boss spawns

You can do that if you play 12h day 7d/w and AFK fishing or AFK proccesing every night 7d/w

Yeah sure, they have 2 full time jobs, full time school, are a single parent of 4 mo triplets and take care of their old parents while maintaining healthy social life with several offline friends and a partner.

Just to mention that infamous alchemy. You can get a lot of silver with stones, yes, but what kind of investment and luck do you need to get a stone that sells for more than 500k? You can get boss armor from bundles and TET it up in 15 stacks, yes, but what kind of luck it takes for that? Or you can leech or even hack, I am sure those expressions are not something unheard of in this game.

And then you have someone like me on the other hand who plays legit without any giveouts or crutches and for whom is next to impossible to even get TRI liverto. And since all I get when I try to enchant something is blowing up months of my gametime, I guess I am supposed to just make several billions and buy it on market right? Oh, but I guess I didnt work hard enough....

Some people are just full of shit.

Just fyi, in case you were not aware, this is a lottery game where you can lose everything you "worked" for in one unlucky click.

Calling people lazy and lecturing them like some arrogant prick is not something a forum moderator should do. If I still cared enough about this game and the forum I would report you for this.

Try high level alchemy and craft things that are high on demand also help. When you are out of money to invest then yes grinding is necessary to build a capital again. Get a group if you hate solo grinding, although solo is always better for income.

Maybe you should like to go back to the cave and live off hunting mammoths? Because that is where you would be if none ever tried to improve anything.

There are moments when the rage is justified (yesterday I felt from the gambling addiction once more and ofc lost another piece of valuable gear....), but dude, I play just 2 or 3 hours during the evenings (and not even every day), RNG isn't my friend wheter it's regarding loot or enchanting, I'm not rich (ingame speaking), but I managed to get decent gear anyway.

Can you be more specific in what are you finding so undoable ? Maybe there are other approaches you didn't think about (worker's network, Alchemy/Crafting/Trading, the new Imperial things). Tell us what's your (realistical) goal and we'll try to suggest you some viable way to get there.

This game literally throws silver at you, with a little luck (and I mean a little) you could buy a piece of tri grunil every week, probably more if you were dedicated. If you want to try your luck enchanting and it goes to shit then that sucks but after the sheer amount of crying on these forums I'm shocked that people are surprised. The RNG in this game is an absoloute joke. Your most "efficient" way of gearing up is to hit full DUO and grind enough to buy tri.

Hard work? How are you a moderator call other people on the forums lazy?

Why wouldn't a moderator be allowed to call lazy people lazy? Just because they don't realize it and think they are not? lol
Also he said there are multiple reasons, being lazy is just one, lack of knowledge of the game is another. Not being able to manage your free time properly is also one (and i can tell you, i know some of the whiners of this thread, and their ratio free time / effectiveness  is just horrible).

It's not so hard to make a lot of money, working or not, with a lot of free time or not. Ofc if you sit with 120 energy, 60 cp and you lose your time everyday fighting for a sausan spot, you'll be poor af and a Tri liverto may seem a real challenge.

Also can't stop laughing when i see comments like "you lose all you've been working for in one unlucky click". If that's true, you shouldn't have tried to enhance in the first place. People try to do stuff with a low RNG and nothing to back up the faill that WILL happen. If they are mad after that, their own fault, they were stupid in the first place.

If you enhance with the mindset of "i need to succeed in 1 or 2 try" you'll obviously be disapointed / mad. If  you do it with "i know i'll fail a lot, because the rng is so bad , but i'll keep enough resources to get back where i was" you won't be mad. People just feel like they deserve to succeed on a few tries. That's the real problem here. They also don't value / can't manage their failstacks. If you fail a liverto tri and get 70fs out of the tries, you didn't "lost everything you worked for". You already have decent fs for a Tet. Slow and steady wins the race, this game is about the long run, not getting everything instantly.

i cant buy those all-ahievers either yet the forum seems to be full of those cases.

in my case im in the lucky position being able to work from home when not travelling. as long my numbers and my team numbers are fine all is well (to quote the ceo "as long you overahieve i dont care if you play golf all day") and i can do a lot of stuff while at work. i´m endless hours in telco´s but as long i´m not presenting its easy to brainless grind while listening/commenting.

however i dont know many people throughout family, friends, work friends or connetions (+800 linkedin biz partners, coworkers etc and yes i had intense discussions with most of them beside mere business related talks) that have similar freedom.

in these forums you have people claiming to work in healthcare and yet you see them half the day in the forums posting walls of text and claiming to excel ingame. again all personal experience would tell otherwise.. half my family are doctors, the other half are lecturing musicians (university profs etc). usually both groups would struggle to even have 2 hours the day for some hobby, especially if they are in a relation or have kids. usually the time they would have to spare is very limited and i cant really imagine a grind rng-progress game being satisfactory for them.

for me, i can deal with an initial bump of grind but my target is only pvp / ingame interaction. i dont want to be forced every 3 months to get new gear. i´m aware that we´re in a special situation right now having had a fast paced upgrade spiral getting all updates KR had over years in a fragment of time, but i start to get bored of it, especially of the rng part which makes progress even more anoying and seemingly endless. i start to miss Velika Outskirts and Lumbertown Bridge so to speak. Just hanging aroudn and fight ppl when youre up to it, while human drama unfolds around you =)

My late Father was a doctor and I know what his day looked like. Granted he was rather sought after being a specialist in rare field, but between his regular job, extra hours in private practice and occasional court testimony he had maybe an hour a day he could spend in leisure.

I raised 2 children, no grandma help, no preschool, with a close to 12 hours working husband and I know exactly what family/house requires. I played games even back then but I would steal maybe 20 minutes, pause, drive kids back from the school, play another 15 minutes, pause, serve lunch, play 20 minutes, pause, some quality family time (including playing games but not the kind I played), play 15 minutes..... and so on.

This game cannot be played an hour a day and get past some minimal gear unless you have ridiculous luck or use some other means I will not even mention. End of.

ofc that's just bullshit.

Thoses pretending they have job + social life + playing "only 3-4h / week" and beeing able to have most powerfull gear are imho at 99% just liar xD ( and that, whatever their reasons after all )

With the equivalent of a "casual playing time" actualy, you go nowhere close to a """""""competitive"""""""" gear power in that game.

( or you need a insane luck all the time, which is, imho, never happen )

NOTE : its also very fun to see thoses guys pretending playing as "true casual" beeing able to have super powerfull gear, when thoses self called "hardcore" ( a.k.a BDO no lifer ) say that game is "fine" with the gear because it only reward thoses """investing""" ( a.k.a doing nothing else than playing BDO ) time in the game...

Thoses guys just contradict themself all the time... xD

From crafting just 24 horse shoes/day( and this is done with workers if i have to say it ), afk fishing at night and converting my alts energy to sellable potions worth 1.5m when they regen to 200 energy, i make probably on average 10m a day doing nothing. Git gud.

Exactly! Funny how many people talk about their "ideal" scenario while having ----- all.I bet many people even believe in that magic "hard work" bs.

Now Scenario 1: I know a person with a job, wife and kids. He has lvl 59, his gear is all +19 and all he does is afk fish. His wife however, goes into a centre of anonymous gameholics, her story is as follows: I have a job, husband and kids. I play no games, but my husband does play one game, since he started, I get calls from his boss asking if he is okay because he did not show up at work in three months. My kids only see him during the evenings, when he comes out of basement to eat a little. Sometimes I no longer recognise him, as his beard and hair are so long now, I can hardly see his face. He is not saying anything, except for one thing, one more enchant and we are good.

Please "experts", stop BSing honest and naïve people on these forums.
