How do I assign a worker to a node?

Hey everybody. I'm a new player and I'm very confused about almost everything in the game right now lol. I figured out how to connect nodes by investing contribution points, but I don't know how to assign a worker to one of my nodes. I tried scouring the entire web for any help regarding this matter, but all the guides seem to lack any info on how to actually get workers to, you know, work. I already hired a human worker from velia and I tried to figure out how to get him to work on one of the nodes nearby, but there is no option in node management to assign a worker. Could anybody help me with this?

Also, is there a node management in velia or is that automatically an activated node?

Towns and cities are without node managers, and automatically activate. You can use a worker from ant city at any node as long as they are connected, but keep in mind travel time comes into play.

To assign a worker, you must of course go activate the node by travelling to and talking to the manager or through the map if you have a value pack activated. You must also contribute points to the actual resource node. Once you have invested your CP you will be able to assign a worker to the node and tell them how many times to work there.

In short....no node managers for towns or cities, and you assign workers through the map screen. Don't forget...you must invest in the exploration node AND the resource node. Hope this helps. :)

Yeah I eventually figured it out. Now I have to figure out how to increase my health through eating, without having to resort to buying meals off the marketplace. I tried drying some weasel meat but that didn't do anything. I have a bunch of potatoes though, but they aren't working either. Why is food so hard lol.

Yeah...cooking is a ton of fun. Google "Black desert recipes" and you'll find some very helpful info. I recommend learning beer ASAP...your workers live on it and you will find they can be thirsty

Food is not hard at all. Cook some simple food instead of base ingredients.

2 simple food recipes are:

meat stew5 pork meat2 wheat flour2 cooking wine

3 mineral water

boiled eggs3 eggs1 cooking wine6 mineral water1 salt

Depending on whether you've butchered animals for meat or collected eggs, you can get a shit ton through quests, or just buy these off the marketplace. Wheat flour just requires grinding wheat. Rest of mats are bought from chef vendor (found in most inns in cities).

Happy cooking and levelling of cooking life skill! Setup a node to make wheat asap, you'll need it for crafting beer for your workers to continue working.

beer5 wheat2 leavening agent1 sugar6 mineral water

Only the wheat is collected here; rest are bought from the chef vendor.

Pork meat can also be swapped out for meat of similar animals;

Deer Meat
Lamb Meat
Fox Meat
Rhino Meat
Pork
Beef
Raccoon Meat
Weasel Meat
Bear Meat
Wolf Meat

I would suggest talking to the Black Spirit by the (,) key. Once you summon the black spirit. Talk to him normally, for Guide. Then go down, and find 'I want to make' blah-blah. Then once you click on that. A hidden quest is popped, and autocompleted. Opening you to a large horizon of things you can do. Exposing you to new quest called Profession quest which is green-borderline with pickaxe over a fish.

And you will never run out of quests again.  :D  I did this on my sorceress, choosing the gathering/production and cooking guided quest series from dark and creepy, and, while it's gotten better, you almost can't swing a dead cat in Serendia or Calpheon without hitting a quest giver with a green icon over their head.  :)
