Blame the asshole that created the "Customer is always right" bull shit. Kids have been raised on it and have no real sense of patience and feel entitled to perfection on all things they spend money on. On the flip side, Developers/Distributors have a bad habit of treating gamers as less than customers at times and it enflames the situation usually due to poor communication. I personally think Kakao has done a pretty good job since I have been playing BDO, but sometimes the communication could be quicker.

Well, trust me, I have an unbelievable amount of patience. Though right now, I'm not that patient because I'm playing like 5 games, doing several projects that I can't mention in detail, and more all at once while trying to catch up on my backlog. Not that I'm in any particular hurry to play BDO. Just that I'm not very patient because I have so much to do right now that I'm literally juggling tasks.

That said, my problem is simply the fact that people seem to have an expectation that proper estimation can't be done. It can be done, it just requires that you understand how estimation is done and that you are willing to spend some time and effort.  Also, servers ARE up as I posted earlier.

I beg to differ. I think they are actually very fast when they are dealing with things they can deal with fast. But on matters such as my game is verifying files, they are going to take slower to respond to because its not as pressing as other issues. Also you have to understand that right now there are probably a crap ton of tickets being tossed at them just for this maintenance so get a grip, they aren't robots :P

If it doesn't fix for you the first time try deleting some files again by yourself and it should fix it. If you are one of the unlucky you would need to delete all of your game files and I mean everything. That being said also all of the files in your documents folder. Redownload the game and go that way. If that does not work Only other way I got the game to work is you would have to torrent the game or have someone else use Teamviewer and copy paste their working game to a folder on your computer and create a shortcut via on your desktop to your launcher. Which then it will auto patch again and verify but should work after that.

Sometimes it's best to not make any "promises" to the playerbase. Because when things aren't true, the backlash is worse compared to people making complaints.

That is why it is better if you aren't sure to assume from the start that you'll need more time and then hopefully you'll get it done beforehand.

If you are sure, then a more precise estimate is nice.

There are issues that have been lingering for months and I have yet to see any communication about at all. Kakao has been one of the worse companies I've encountered so far in terms of communications, lol. But oh well, we'll work with what we get, I guess.

Don't really care about the server downtime personally. It'll go back up when it goes back up.

in every game i played the community felt that this was the worst ever. in most cases the companies stuck to the policy that too much communication in the forum can be far worse than too little. the cm's actually communicate alot in this game.

the launcher cant get through 514MB of download
it's really frustrating, and i already did a file repair, it seems to be bugged

any1 else experiencing such ?

48% stuck at downloading. Restarted and tried again  and also gets to 48%.

Be patient. It seems to just take a bit to get past that initial 514.
