An AI companion system.

3 is too much, but some kind of companion would be nice.

A squire or apprentice would be nice (except they never rise up to become those roles :P )

Stay strong OP.  :)  More people would be interested in this than some would think.  Good cash shop opportunity for PA/Kakao. Maybe wait until their partnership with that Japanese co. improves the engine though, since the current pop-in/lag is so bad.  And I'd limit it to a single follower to prevent too much clutter.

And to those who say it isn't "that type of game" - BS.  Look at how much effort they put into changing seasons, weather, non-combat animations, housing, etc.  Someone over there in Korea is trying to maintain the RP in MMORPG.

Edit:  Actually, just make them pets, which already have simple AI's.  Seems to be what the OP is mostly asking for.

You could actually make some friends and play in a party you know, like ppl do in mmorpgs?

I think it says in the title that is is an mmorpg, the total oposite of single player game.

We should group up and trade some items like people do in mmorpgs

If it was something like NEVERWINTERS companion system, I could go for that. You can slot multiple companions, but have only 1 active at a time. The stats still stack for all slotted companions. Interesting system. Another money sink, but fun nonetheless.

jokes aside it would be pretty cool if they created some companion npcs to do with quest stuff or you could hire with cp as long as its done well and they dont look/act strange.

You alreday have companions NPCs in the main story, Edan, Orwen and the little prick.
 That's enough.

Your idea is bad. Sorry. If you want companions there shit tons of them around. They're called other players. That's one of the things that makes MMOs what they are.

And thniking that a comparison between BDO and SWTOR is pertinent (I don't know if you could choose a worse example) tends to make me believe that you have only a very superficial understanding of how an MMO like BDO works.

Im saying that its sort of silly to accuse people who dont party up with players in an MMO as being anti-social. When the very perception of the MMO player base is viewed as anti-social IRL.

This is mostly accurate for the new generation of gamers. '95 onward.
