You are talking about giving out BIS items. So you consider a +0 Ogre Ring as best in slot? Way to go....you will only need around 8 more rings to get maybe a DUO Ring...then we can start talking about BIS.

Most of the casual players dont have the money to even get their free boss armor from the event to +15. So you consider a +10 tree spirit armor BIS?

Delusion is extremely strong in this thread...

from that point of view, even TRI boss armor isn't bis, neither is TET. Ogre ring / Laytenn is bis, period. After that its just enhance lvl or in fact: the amount of ogre rings/laytenns you have.

And btw. someone very lucky could have gotten duo ogres already purely through all the event boxes.

giving free bis gear by not active playing is bullshieet , but after that you gotta enchant them , and most of them can't afford it immediatly.

The login rewards have nothing to do with casual vs hardcore, nor any attempts to catch up or de-value BiS.    The EU\NA publisher is a subsidiary of the Korean Publisher.  The Korean publisher owns Korean internet cafes, and have licenses with other internet cafes.   Most of their income actually comes from these cafes not the game itself.  So the publisher and developer work towards making sure players are logged in as much as possible and reward for logging in.   This way the players are in Internet Cafes buying food and drinks (the main source of the Internet Cafe's business).  

Once you keep that in mind some of the things the western market scratches their heads at makes more sense.

Early level money making is not a thing anymore either, you can easily get 20-30 million simply from opening the lucky boxes, log in rewards and other things they mail to you.

Feels like you're undermining everyone who's attended Kzarka/Karanda just as much as you have with nothing to show for it. Seems like an attempt to keep the power you currently have all to yourself with a total disregard to everyone who's worked just as hard if not harder than you.

You complain about the RNG others have with the boxes, yet forget about the luck you've had at world bosses. It's a two-way street; this game has never been fair, and it's not going to start now, and considering how happy everyone has been with the events, Kakao and Pearl Abyss have no reason to stop them.

My problem with grinding is that you always have a general idea of how much money a hour you will be making which ofc can increase/decrease depending on some item drops but nothing to crazy.

 

I hate it, all good camps for exp are like that unless you try to farm those specific items you end up with nothing if it doesnt drop, If all mobs had the chance to drop a item with real value it would make it a lot more interesting, lets say sausans/pirates or "insert any other popular grinding spot" had a SMALL chance to drop a ogre ring or a chance to drop a witch earring/mark of shadow or whatever it would make grinding much more fun even if the chance would be 0,0001 for a ogre ring it still gives you that feeling it MIGHT happen while farming.

 

This is just a example of me wanting more randomness into the game, its all x amount of money per hour, x amount of money if I do these scrolls, x amount of money if a use my workers, x amount per hour while doing any crafting, the game will feel less like a burden at times if there was this small chance of something rly good dropping/happening while doing the things you have to do A LOT in this game.

 

FOR EXAMPLE:

Add a global loot table to all mobs and if RNG is in your favor it will drop something from that list, this could be from a bag of blackstones to gold bars to a ogre ring or make them drop a box we can open like the lauren family coin box and it can only drop for you if the mobs are in a certain range of your level, It should be a very rare drop and when it does drop like something of less value has higher chance than something of high value, this would make the game a lot more fun for me.

Hello.  Played since release, actively the first months then slacking and afking a lot but 24/7 online fishing and making money/breeding horses.
Past 1.5 month been very active bosshunter and enjoying that, getting silver, getting BiS gear, etc.  210ap/250dp.

Some things i think would make the game better.  

1.   Make grinding fun again, stop giving out so much free stuff, instead give active players attention, make black stones drop way more often than they do, we have a problem with supply lately.  Not just events, make it possible for people to grind their own black stones.   Same thing goes for other important items like the Ogre ring and other BiS items, up the obtain chance rather than give them for free based on luck in boxes.  Same goes for all items, make grinding and being active more lucrative.   Don't give player A jack while player B gets BiS items in his RNG boxes, it aint fair.  

2.  Giving out free items in RNG boxes tilts your true and active players.   I myself never got anything nice from boxes, sure i appriciated the sharps, hards, black stones, memory frags, witch earrings and all that but i'd prefer grinding for them, why give it to me just for being online?  Is this "stay online simulator" or an mmorpg where people should work for their stuff?  I get you want beginners to catchup but give them bound +15 grunil sets and yurias they can start their journey with?  

3.  It's time for a new level softcap, players have been 58+ for a long time now, it's time to raise the softcap to 58 and make 58-60 easier as well.   The leveling in this game is very time consuming, break the korean habbit of horrible leveling and let us enjoy other content and pvp that this game offers, because it's a great game and you shouldn't make us stare at the same spot for weeks/months.

Other than that, the game is still good, except from being one of the classes that hasn't been awakened yet. 

1) The events are on fast forward because we are catching up to KR, which had these events as well, spread out over a longer period. They will slow down after the Magoria expansion/Witch and wizard awakening.

2) The game is RNG to its core. Why is it a bad thing if *everyone* gets an extra chance at a good item?

3) The levelling is fine. There is no hardcap on levels, but the current softcap should actually be enforced a bit more - It's too easy to get to 56, even when compared to KR.

4) See 1 and 2.

You have no means or predication to suggest that way more mindless grinding makes for better players.  If you can only find satisfaction in an extra long "Valley" before that "Peak" reward then that's an internal problem with you that you don't get to project onto the rest of the playerbase in the name of "game design"

i agree for the most part. All of the afk mechanics in this game are retarded. Actively playing should be much more lucrative that it is.

I don't agree.  Leveling is not fun, that's the difference, sure its fun to grind a few hours and get to 56, it feels good and rewarding, but past 56 its nothing but a horrible grind that gets you stuck on the same spot for way too long, you lose the fun in bosshunting if you dont have a bosshunting alt which needs 160+ ap now to get loot, you lose the fun of pvp because normally you get a party wherever you level or people leave after a lot of pvp because it's a waste of time to pvp when ur leveling.  


Ofcourse its fine that it takes a while but this takes too long.  If they want beginners to stay don't give them this giant grind after 56.  BDO contradicts theirselves a lot, they give free BIS but they refuse to make leveling easier, BIS should be more valuable than levels.  Who want's a game where you grind hours and hours per day for 1.5 months from 58-60?  People today wants quick-fix games which is one of the reasons MMORPG's are _according to some people_ dying.  MMORPG's takes too long to reach the fun in the game, such as pvp or other fun stuff the game offers.

Yeah probably, i've thought of that as well, maybe they are giving ppl all this bis because it wont be bis anymore soonTM.

It would require an entire reworking of the system to allow easy 56+ leveling.

This is just one of those "I didn't put any real thought into it responses".

#1 You will never get rid of this issue without a complete revamp that would allow for leveling to 5,000+.  It's would basically just take level 60 for example and turn it into 100 levels so you could continually gain them over time.  However, this obviously has issues with accuracy/skills and doesn't match the current system at all.

#2 Even then in order to prevent unlimited power you would need to slow down the leveling progress and end up in the same situation.

#3 You just want what you don't have it, and if it where given to you, you wouldn't want it, so you will fail in every situation.

#4 What happens to 60 and 61+ players in your "suggest system".  They are just moved to 70,71 nothing resolved, nothing changed.
