Server desync is worse!

I am not a pro pvper by any means but this desync is just awful, really puts me off wanting to progress my character on this server!  its even worse than before

Can't expect pvp to be playable when even mobs (particularly bosses) desync around the place like mad.

They'll happily keep ignoring the concern though. Maybe they'll claim to bring over Korean technicians again?

Yeah the desync pretty much -----s me over in pvp when ever i go to use a grab. They just teleport out, the game gives me a message saying they arent there blah blah and I die cause im still doing the grab animation even though they arent there. Its great.

The server desync should be there No1 priority yet they dodge the issue

wondering if anyone has tried adjusting their network card settings

three things come to mind, which are noteworthy to mention

(1) some firewalls do protocol analysis depending on the settings, and some are more aggressive than others and can eat up extra CPU depending on those settings.

(2) there are flow control options in the firmware of network cards that can sometimes cause redundancy (and latency) which are switchable in the hardware property menus for those hardware devices. Windows network services handle these just fine, and you might see a performance difference by disabling them.

(3) WiFi versus Hard-Wired......not even gonna go into the amount of differences there.

Always someone giving them excuses so they keep doing NOTHING.

Dsynch is everyone's connection problem, can't be cause of POTATO SERVERS.

srsly this game is so centered around positioning and hitting and dodging and resisting attacks (with superarmors or blocks) at precise moments yet the desync is getting WORSE and WORSE every day

 

I bet if they fixed desync, 80% of the playerbase would stop raging instantly and the other 20% would just complain about how ridiculously braindead and overpowered rangers and berserkers are

I think part of the issue is BDO's client side prediction code is optimized for 10-20ms latency. S. Korea is a tiny country that allows such low latency. We as a player base could mitigate desync issues by kicking everyone off the game that has latency above 100. Personally, when desync gets bad, I vpn and play KS version with 250ms and desync the shit out of folks

Yes, indeed, when MOBS desync, it's a connection issue, not cause the servers are the cheapest they could find possible.

Trees desync when I go to chop them, they end up 5 feet away from my axe

Desync will always exist just watch KR vids when they do red battlefield, there are desyncs all over the place. Just get over it, maybe they will fix it one day (not).

Yup we keep saying it but it doesn't seem to matter. We get entire patches with nothing but cash shop additions, but essentially nothing regarding the desync issue. I think it's obvious at this point that they just don't care or simply don't know how to fix it.

I used to do Node Wars and open world and all that too, but I've completely stopped any form of PvP since I caught myself playing in a way to try and predict and implement the desync into my playstyle. I thought that was beyond stupid and haven't cared about it since.

At times mobs or people take no damage and then it stops lagging and they take all the damage at once, that s server side sorry.

Before the merge it was normal on Alustin, there were some desyncs here and there but for most of the time it was acceptable and not  troublesome (at least for me). Now I feel like I'm playing the game on the late 90 modem connection.
 Also because servers are being showered with data it turns most fights into a slideshow.
