You want my Money? Get rid of PaymentWall!!!

I started BDO before official launch with a Conq Pack. Over the next few months I spent quite a bit of money ( more than I care to reveal) on BDO. Due to RL reasons I took a break from BDO. I returned about a week ago and decided today to buy a couple things from the Pearl Shop.

I proceeded to buy Daum Cash with my Debit Card... NOPE PaymentWall wants a copy of my ID, a copy of the Transaction Receipt ( they canceled the transaction so I don't even have a record of it).

Well screw that, I'll use my PayPal....NOPE My account is now locked due to suspected Fraud. They still want a copy of my ID and of the Transaction Receipt which does NOT exist because they canceled it!!

I should NOT have to jump through a bunch of hoops just to purchase anything. As it stands now, I cannot buy anything and guess what? It's not my choice! It's your payment provider!

I am NOT sending them ANYTHING. You figure out a way to fix this, this is no screw up on my part.

Have you had any update on this? I'm now also in the position of providing a transaction receipt for something that I don't have. Their customer support is frankly terrible and I'm not happy about the recent move to them.

As above, I have money I wish to spend but your new provider is not letting me.

Happened to me today as well. I agree with you, I won´t buy anything until they change their billing provider. The one before used Verified by VISA which looks more legit to me than paymentwall.

Fun fact about Paymentwall - if the card and ID you provided doesn´t match with the BDO account data. They will ask for the ID of the account owner as well. So mom´s and dad´s be prepared to submit your childs ID as well.

Yeah.. Paymentwall is horrible. I haven't been able to load up in a while and after searching google kind of scared to keep trying. Supposively people have had account bans for multiple failed purchase attempts?

In any case, bought a new windows 10 PC after I moved and after clicking confirm to be forwarded to Paymentwall the site would just be blank and load forever..

[Days later] Found out windows flags Paymentwall as running unsafe scripts and has to be given specific security settings JUST TO SEE THE WEBSITE.

Upon finally loading I get "Paysafecard is temporarily unavailable in your area".. after further google searches it is not a temporary issue but a permanent one. I tried changing my region/state etc no idea what prompts the message.

Their customer service is like pulling teeth generic Copy/Paste without even reading your issue and the GMs on this side will just refer you to them so.. goodluck? Looks like I will be keeping my money and forever not have the costumes I want because they have not ever (or cannot be?) listed on the Marketplace.

/signed use Verified by Visa and/or a better pre-paid card vendor if you want more money spent here.

Same, I really don't know why you would hire these guys. I checked their business reviews and they are all kinds of screwed up. Their CEO fires people for no apparent reason, is a racist, and other various issues. Oh, and nevermind that their support is horrible and what they do borders on FRAUD. Fraud protection from people that want to defraud me of money? No thanks. You don't need that information so why the hell should I give it to you?

I should just report them to the BBB if I see anything going missing in my account.

I bought one package of daum cash, and that was apparently enough to flag my card as being possibly stolen? Lol, like hell I'm sending them a pic of my credit card statement....

I am SERIOUSLY -----ing pissed right now. It's been TWO WEEKS and DOZENS of emails to paymentwall to unlock my account from their stupid anti-fraud system.  I've supplied them with EVERYTHING THEY WANTED, all the proofs and ID they needed to make sure there is no fraud going on, then they say my account is now active, two weeks later. Guess what? STILL BLOCKED FROM PURCHASING ANY DAUM CASH. Their answer? "Clear your cache".

Seriously? I can't even believe what's going on with paymentwall's "customer service". Slow, copy/pasted answers, incompetent staff and the absolute worst "anti-fraud system" to be found.

This is sad really. They finaly unlocked my account but I have never seen a company make it so hard to spend money with them, especialy a game company. Honestly I do not know if I want to continue spending money on BDO due to their payment provider. I've come across several people since I first had problems, that's had this happen to them more than once using the SAME payment method every time.

Why should I spend money when paymentwall can just randomly decide to lock my account from purchasing whenever they want too?

Same thing with me and I just gave up, they kept on asking for my ID or Passport copies back and forth and the credit card I will use. Doesn't matter that I tell the idiots I will pay with freaking paypal they still want a copy of my credit card. I had no problems buying pearls until I got this incompetent people.

Same issue...  Card was blocked on the FIRST purchase.  Just went ahead and used paypal since it doesn't need card information and paypal does it's own verification.  Account was apparently already blocked after ONE attempt.  It flagged me simply due to inactivity I guess.  (Was traveling and my notebook can't run the game)  Same provide a receipt issue when of course since they blocked it there was never a receipt.

It wouldn't be so bad if it was a temp block or they quickly resolved it.  However it's like it's an empty automated system.

Same stupid issue.....they wanted my driver license I felt uncomfortable giving that info and decided to pay through paypal.....my account is locked and cannot unlock without drivers license .....guess i'll spend my money elsewhere...it's not like i'm taking out car loan I just wanted to buy some pearls

Would be nice if a someone PM, GM or even CM would at least comment on this even if they can't fix it. At least it would be nice to know we are being heard.

Had exactly the same issue as OP.

I even opened a PayPal account so I could spend my money, but my entire account was blocked for purchase, no matter method of payment...

After two weeks of back and forth I sent them a partial copy of my Visa, which I really found too much. Before this I had sent them a copy of my passport, a print from my online bank showing the last billing to BDO, a complete history of my payments (printscreen from the BDO site).

Too much hastle really. I was THIS close to stop buying. I just NEEDED that shark suit :P

They really need to change their routines! I feel their urge for documents seems more suspicious than everything I provided to prove that my purchase was legit.

Weak logics at Paymentwall to ask for a receipt of a cancelled payment, as nothing moved in or out of my account. Trying to reason with them in the ticket dialogue, giving them good evidence didnt do ANYTHING. They were too tied up with their standarized replies to even get logic.

Hoping for a change here.

I tried to buy the game after I played a week and leveled up to 50. I tried to buy with creditcard and GG they blocked it instantly. They exactly do the same thing. Blocks your account, you can't use anyother paymentmethods, they keep asking the receipt which doesn't exist, and they insist getting your full copy of your ID and card. I send them to picture of my credit card  by blocking everything except the name and last 4 digits and they still ask for more. I asked them to make actual transaction so I can have an actual receipt but NOPE. They keep asking for full information and don't cooperate. Today I told them they can suck a big duck. World's worst company.

@Regular I feel your pain my account will be forever locked due to this BS. I refuse to send this shady company my driver's license and bank statement(this was the info they asked for from me). Considering I have been able to purchase every month before they implemented this company. I guess I no longer need to spend my money here. I even did get ahold of a GM but is seems their hands are tied by this company as well. At least that is feeling I got from the exchange as they can't seem to go against "paymentwall policies."

What the hell is this payment wall? I use my debit/credit card to buy something and it always goes through no problems at all. Am I missing something?

@Velondil  PaymentWall is the third party payment provider that is used for purchasing daum cash or the game. Black Desert switched it's payment provider in December. Some people including myself have been flagged for extra scrutiny for no obvious reason. Some can't even purchase the game without handing over their drivers license/passport and a bank statement. This happened to me personally after buying pearls every month with my entertainment allowance. I felt uncomfortable giving paymentwall my information and honestly thought it was a scam so I exited the page. As I had never been asked for my information previous to Feb 2. Here is what paymentwall did:

1.they took the money from my visa debit card which is attached to my bank account before asking for the information.

2. when I closed out the page thinking it was a scam they refunded me immediately but I know some others have to wait for their refunds.

3. I decided to pay through paypal which my bank account is also attached to ...to find that my account was blocked from making purchases.

Then to unblock my account they asked for the same information I was uncomfortable giving in the first place. I did some research on the company they have a 100% negative rating with the Better Business Bureau. That sent up a red flag for me. I went back and forth with them for a few days via email about their procedure of asking for information after they take the cash. Then I contacted Black Desert. I was told that they will not go against paymentwall's policies but will look into the links I sent them about other customers being unable to purchase anything. I also sent them the link to the BBB. My block has not been removed but I do hope at the very least they are now listening. As there are quite a few people on the forums who had the same experience as me.

Now I can't use any purchase options because paymentwall blocked everything just for 10 bucks. I have a question here. If someone else send me a gift package can I use it? Because this is the last chance of getting this game for me or I will forget the game forever.

That is freaking terrible and bs. Why would a company consciously do that to their customers or use a site that is overwhelmingly negative? Makes no sense.
