Desert trading

So i've just recently expanded my trading nodes to Velencia. Made the mistake of dragging my 4 horse wagon across the desert... took me right at an hour. I've done some research and see that camels and mini elephants are the way to get across, but the carrying capacity isn't up to par with my wagon. Is there a desert wagon of sorts? or maybe a wagon that can have camels connected?

We don't yet have the desert wagons. You can transport from epheria to the harbor, ride horse to the bazaar, run through to the harbor and remote collect the horse there. It's faster, unless you really want to level up the camel/elephant.

Have you tried taking your wagon through the Northern Route via Shakatu then veering south of the Ancado node? If you do it right you don't fall foul of the desert debuff to mount speed, iirc. I often ride my horse back from Valencia that way and it works a charm. Not sure if the wagon coming close to mobs around Gahaz makes it doable though.

Take your wagon via the northern route via Shakatututut or whatever. Once past that just hog the north of the desert, you may pop in and out of the desert every now and then but it's a much faster route that going via the desert. If you want the desert buff for trading then leave your wagon at Valencia and take a horse down to sharing and then ride back.

Via the northern route, Alti to Valencia takes about 15-20 minutes.

Use your elepant, it's what I do. Elephant can be stacked to 150% weight limit without reducing it's sprint speed (and that's stacking the correct way, not using the way of overstacking your mount).

I run my elephant daily across the desert and trade daily within the desert on my elephant - the only downside is no afk riding (then it's really slow), but as you're in the desert, you don't afk ride anyway :) .

I tried pulling the wagon through the northern route. Got it through, but it took a lot of my time and had some trouble through the bandits. Wanted something with the ability to just cross straight through. Just picked up the quest for an elephant, so I guess I'll go that route until we get desert wagons. Anybody know when that might be? I have no idea how far behind the Korean version we really are, haha. Thanks for all the input!

Nope they should have been out a long time ago afaik.

Elephants are the best so +1 to Seanas post.  Just remember that until that bad boy picks up a speed booster like Quick Ride its going to be slow.  If you can, afk ride it in a town over night to help you level it.

It can't be as slow as dragging my horse wagon back across, hahaha. My training is up a little, so I'll def afk this elephant. I guess branding is my best bet for getting a speed boost, huh?

Elephants can also go fast with fast start/fast turn(don't remember the exact names). It is like a weird instant accel/drift for elephants. You hold shift+Q and tap S+D or A+D. It takes some practice and It is a headache to watch because of the constant zoom-in zoom-out, but still a viable option if you don't get quick ride.
