It is skill exp ( skill point ) , not life skill.

We get frequent/constant XP/Skill events to help the population catch up to KR content, which is exclusively released for 'endgame' players. Such a catch-up mechanic isn't needed for Lifeskills, which have very little level-restricted content and much of that is at very low levels.

Getting to the point that you can tumble Perfect Gems or smelt MetalSolvent into Pure crystals is actually a REALLY significant Gathering+Processing grind and I'd argue it actually took me longer to hit that than it did to hit level 55 before all of the XP was buffed for the Valencia expansion.  So actually yes some LifeSkill Events would absolutely be justified because the NPC quests & dailies give very little actual lifeskill XP  (except for the Alchemy ones but those are still a PITA b/c you have to travel back to Olvia every single frikken day)

While low lifeskill levels might prevent you from processing a couple items, it doesn't render an entire content expansion worthless to you the way a low combat level does.

If you can play late at night you can do what i do...

You do dailies last minutes of that day and after reset you do them again, so you only need to go Olvia or Calpheon once every 2 days. Also good for Calph dailies, you will miss 3 chimney quests though...

Hope it helps.

Those "content Expansions" only add more of the same exact Mobs we've been fighting from level 20 and upwards.  They have Zero new behaviors but 5x as much HP-sponge.  What they drop is just vertically progressed stats of the items we already had which also introduce zero new Item mechanics to the game or alternative ways to play.  The quests involving the mobs are the same exact Kill-Ten-Rats quotas we've had since level 1.  The story line is basically Placeholder text culminating in a fart in a stiff breeze.  And the only thing that even Moderately alters our playing experience is the Awakening weapon which the enchantment there-of does not even benefit from moving beyond the Sausan camp until you've already gotten that Awaken weapon to [TRI] at which point what flimsy excuse remains of an "End Game" has you still gated by RNG rather than by actual diverse Map terrain, its resources there'in, or the so called story content.

I would argue that high Processing, Gathering, and Alchemy ranks actually help open that content up *just as quickly* as grinding something like Helms would  (Where you're not constantly having to worry about being interrupted by PK'ers).  And the only time Grinding mobs is both Faster and relaxing is when BlackStone Shard increase Events & Giveaways are ongoing and your Silver buys 1.5x - 2x as many Shards for getting to [TRI] with.  In other cases I've experienced, Crafting & judicious gathering gets you just as many Enchanting attempts without the added Accounting stress of managing all of your Resources in one big Bank fund.

Not really needed, whilst I'd like to see an event so that my grinding Trade doesn't seem so pointless, you don't really need to level life skills the same way you level your character. Once you've hit Master for most life-skills, the differences per Master level are rather negligible.

Once you are artisan, does skill level even matter?  You don't get better results after a certain point.  Only gathering uses energy. Its just epeen

It does matter(master gather/cook/alch/proc). You get more rare products. You can also use less materials. With alchemy you get better chances to craft/upgrade alchemy stone. Fishers can see more hotspots. I am master4 gathering (which is the lowest master I got) and comparing it to artisan makes me believe that around master15 It will be impossible to spend all my energy gathering in one session. It would take something like 8 hours. Differences are small when comparing a level to the previous one. But it compacts and becomes significant at later levels.

Definitely matters. Each level of Trading increases the bonus from bargaining by 0.5%. Higher Processing levels increase bonus yields (like getting plywood directly from processing logs) and some quantities (more Black Stone Powder per ground crystal, for example.)

Higher lifeskill levels give bonuses that aren't always obvious—or even easy to quantify—but which add up over time.
