We need more tips like this. It will be another 5 to 10 yrs before any setup will be able to run this game stable on any condition. Im thinking a 1280 and up.

GPU is already good enough to run this game. The engine is hopeless in the CPU department like in so many mmorpgs. Optimization is horrid and new technology won't help too much with that sadly.

TL;DW version:

  • Windows10 sucks .. edit REGISTRY file b/c Microsoft f***ing hates us PC Gamers and it's been obvious for years.
  • Unpark CPU  (if you didn't already know this was a thing, you're a hopeless N00b who probably bought ALIENWARE)
  • GPU software ->  override turn off Tessellation b/c Nvidia rigged most of the industry against AMD users years back.
  • Game forces Vsynch  ... b/c Duhr duhh Duhhhhrr...  (brute force it off with annoying 3rd party crap)
  • Hard-Purge your old Driver files /w 3rd party app  (regular uninstall doesn't get rid of every trace in your system)
  • "ClockBlocker";  some other 3rd party app that basically manages Application multithread priority   (but don't expect it to help much considering just how Single-Thread reliant almost ALL MMORPG's really are)

What he didn't mention:  BIOS settings.  This is where ppl who have BAD BIOS defaults or built their own rigs generally are suffering the most.  Usually due to having their NorthBridge/Bus, or Memory underclocked or undervolted. Sometimes "Power saving" mode is also on by default in this absolute bottom Layer of your architecture so learning a lot about this really complicated area of computing and "Overclocking" is essential to really optimize one's own computer and result in much better performance than all of the other things listed above.  Unfortunately, it takes hours if not days of reading through guides or posts or whatever from techy sites like Tom'sHardware or Overclock.net.  And there really is no Windows Application you can just download that will do this for you, not even from the Hardware manufacturers themselves because that stuff always has limited access to actually changing the hard values that matter or it's less stable when it does change them

Accurate explanation, I do still stick with the fact of using 75 hertz monitors or higher

Why on earth would you explain the settings and programs AND THEN "Oh hey now everything you just did, you're going to have to do it all over again. Because now we're uninstalling the GPU drivers!"

what do you change in the registery beside disabling that gameDVR crap stuff ?

  • Game forces Vsynch  ... b/c Duhr duhh Duhhhhrr...  (brute force it off with annoying 3rd party crap)

Disabling Vsync sure can help for performance, but without, that game really have bad tearing, i tried once to disable it, and seriously, it just destroyed my eyes :/
