Decap would've been nice in transitioning if it wasn't bugged animation-wise. (anyone else sees a pattern here with people getting up from our grab an other issues?)

Just look at the difference, same stats, same input, same FPS in both cases. I guess another RNG element of this RNG game? Reported by me to support couple weeks ago, obviously nothing was done still.

just go to dummies and do it repeatedly. FAST never procs if you just hit thin air, but whenever you have a target it's pretty much RNG if it's gonna be fast or not. sigh.

Yea I still haven't been able to figure out what triggers the fast sudden decap. I've even tried over stacking attack speed with potions food and gems.

i messed around with it today but couldn't find anything for it. could someone try testing what part of the blade is hitting the mob when it procs fast? its probably a bit farfetched but maybe our katana has a sweet spot to it that procs the faster swings if we land hits at the appropriate distance? think Dark Souls 3 scythes if you ever played that.

the more likely theory is this probably has something to do with the multi-hit crits doing something to extend the animation. you notice this kind of hiccup effect in animations for alot of different skills where sometimes it goes full speed and then others it feels like its a bit slower. its really noticeable on skills like serpent ascension, katana shower, bsb, ect.

If you played ranger some think about the weird speed difference between using shotgun.

Most likely scenario is that it's the same as the bug with pets seeing through invisibility or fast standup from grapple. In other words - shitty coding. If you followed ninja's awakening release on Korea you probably know that our animations were like retardedly slow at release (just to look cool in teaser video I guess?). Koreans complained, animation speed was buffed, but it seems that they messed it up somewhere along the way and now it relies on unknown not player-controlled variable.

i posted a thread of giants getting up faster than other classes :U

but i have noticed that about half the time, my combos can be REALLY slow or fast and smooth. as a ninja it hurts us the most because our skills are so technical compared to the other classes. we REALLY have to time our CC's properly and one misstep can mess up an entire combo. where as musa and sorcs especially just have spinning type attacks where the CC is present until the ENTIRE animation of their spin type attacks.

meanwhile our 4th hit doesn't give us super armor in vacuum slash.... so we pretty much have to cancel out of it.
 

heres an improved version of ya combo :D murederous>E>2seamless>sudden decape>Flow execution>D+Rmb>Serpent. D+Rmb puts u into transition stance during the attack even b4 it ends so u do the double serpent instead of single 1 >:D hehehehees ult ninja death combo. No need to thank me peeps B|

im a little on the fence about double serpent damage honestly. theres apparently another issue where the second serpent slash does less damage in point blank range. i dont know if thats a bug too but... it's an issue. so much so that i have a HUNCH that the single serpent slash in this combo would do more damage.

plus i go straight to BsB>rmb>stomp for a little bonus damage. SOMETIMES when i do this, it knocks them down all over again and i can continue with another short combo :U it only happens if i seem to time it juuuust right though

Well it takes you almost 4 seconds to complete all swings of a skill in non-transition and around 2 to complete it in transition. How is it faster if you're vulnerable for twice the duration?
also, as I already said, testing ANY animations without target/dummy is irrelevant, since some skills (this one included) act differently when you have a target and when you don't.

Idk what causes it. It's still like 40/60 for me. Things that come to mind - are you 59 with skill maxed? Is your AS 5? Idk what else could influence this tbh. I'm sure that it's not just me though, because you can find examples of this in other people's videos. For example in this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=StPWSum4sLc

I was not saying its better or faster over all just the down swing animation was faster. I was just tryin to help figure out the speed differences. Neither are as fast as the GIF shows and he is in the transitioned stance when he strikes super fast. I have never had my decap move that fast

To make sure I'm not retarded I've just gone and re-tested this. Did it on golems this time instead of dummies even. Gfycat was down so I uploaded to giphy instead, sorry for shitty quality. As you can see there will be 2 times that skill casts slow, and 2 times it casts fast. Not doing anything special just dodge>RMB>S+RMB.

P.S.: This happens to me when I use Decap after Murderous as well, but there I meet another inconsistency, where sometimes if you use Murderous out of Transition stance you're still in it, and sometimes you're not. Mostly seems to depend on terrain though, as long as there's like one cm height difference (of you falling down that 1cm during blink) you'll be out of transition stance.

P.P.S.: Would be great if other people were actually able to replicate this in order for me to know that it's not just me lol.

rmb+d makes you slide to the right so u not rlly poit blank anymore
