CC success is based on...?

What exactly determines whether the CC effect of an attack is successful (i.e. a grab, bound, float, knockdown etc.).

Is it simply your knockdown ignore vs their resist + some rng? Does accuracy help land CCs?

grab is 100% successful, or at least it is supposed to be, if it is not, either you miss it or it is due to dsync, rest depends on evasion of your target mostly, and also various resists comes with crystals, and item set effects or accessory maybe, accuracy helps ofc to land anything not just cc, and obviously like in every other aspect of bdo, there is rng factor. now if you want to know exact values for all this, I don't think anybody knows exactly, but there should be some tests made by players, you should search for specific things you are looking for (effect of evasion, different kinds of resists etc..)

Zoro means that Grabs/Grapples cannot miss as they all possess the innate 100% Accuracy, ala, Grabs cannot be beaten with Evasion. So for this one it's simply the ignore vs the resist + some rng. Granted of course that you didn't physically miss, nor did they desync. Both factors being outside of the equation.

What I'm experiencing though is that levels seem to add some base form of resistance to your character, for instance when I was mucking around the arena with some lvl 56 friends - I'm level 60 - they kept triggering the aftermath portion of the grab - i.e. the headbutt for zerker + kick for ninja + the nothing for valk that happens if they manage to evade the initial grapple - even though I only had 20% grapple resistance. Granted they had no resistance ignore but I "resisted" about 6 in a row before we gave up. Seemed pretty evident with a 80% success rate to fail 6 times.

For the other ones, it seems to roll an evasion check first to see if the hit containing the cc - lands or not - after which it would roll your ignore vs their resistance - if you're the attacker - and produce the result I guess?
