Heilang - Costumes/Skins and More

Hello everyone.

I was thinking to myself the other day while changing gear on my horse, that it would be pretty neat if Heilang (the Tamer's beast) was also able to have gear or costumes. Costumes could range from skins to make him look like a lion or tiger, to a Christmas hat during Christmas. You know, those sort of items. I'd also think that if he did end up being able to equip gear, that he should also get a stats-box that pops up when you press 'p' while he is summoned, to manage it all.

Let me know what you guys think. I think it'd be neat, but maybe one of you know why they haven't done something like that already.

Thanks! c:

I would very much love this...... However, I do not use Heilang, I do not do any combat (and do not have a weapon, so I can not even summon him... perhaps make it summonable without the weaopon)

But first... I would like it to be a viable mount.
Perhaps do it like this: It gets all the speed stats from the horse you have out of the stable, and give it the horse skills perhaps, or just keep/boost the current skills of Heilang.
You could even keep the stamina required, just make it possible to auto-path with Heilang.

Right now Heilang is worse than a tier 3 horse with sprint. I know the main focus of Heilang is (unmounted) combat, but one of the reasons I picked tamer was because I could ride him.

With all that in, Yes. I would love skins and armour for him. I would pay a significant amount of money to make him match my own character.

I use Heilang in combat a lot because I'm a solo player. He's one of the reasons I chose the Tamer class. He is also handy to have in case you become overencombered during combat in a largely monster-populated area. The other day I was at 140% and so I hopped on him and kept on fighting. I understand that the shortsword is kind of like a flute used to summon him, but I do find it odd that you HAVE to have a weapon equipped to summon him.

I think it would be great if he was faster and ran longer than 20 seconds. Having the same stats as your current horse isn't a bad idea, but I think maybe he could have his own stats that go up as you level and/or the gear he can equip.

I agree that it sucks that you cannot autopath while riding him.

I would also spend more money that I'm proud of to deck him out.

You have to have a weapon for anything.. even kicking!!! what if i want to ninja run and my weapon is in bank..or i am running to the bank!!!

Martial arts skill tree would be so damn awesome..

Back to topic! i like the idea of heilang having the horse you have out skills (including stamina and health) <(yes health.. wouldn't effect your horse if heilang gets hit, but this would be the trade off for having a summonable mount.. so simply repair your horse before using heilang) since it would give tamers a bonus kinda like ninja double jump.
