For honor vs bdo pvp

I don't like this game, Chivalry FTW no matter what. (And i know dragging can be a real pain, tho i love no-dachi/Halberd while using this)

BDO needs a good overhaul about PvP (2nd awake maybe?), but i don't like PvP in MMO's, i mean, bus what else?

If you wan't real PvP go play on a VS fighting game, then feel the pressure, not these childish skirmishes where ppl are dodging others to take free castles. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

If I win someone by outgearing I would feel like shit.

But people who defend bdo pvp are those noobs who have no skills in any game and feel good about themselves when they win by having gear advantage. Some even reroll for getting proper class because we know half of them are broken too.

Then they mock games like wow and for honor and would get absolutely destroyed by good players and this is in equal enverioment where skill matters more than gear.

Where skill matters more than gear? WoW? Stop embarassing yourself. Gear is the most important thing in any mmorpg, WOW, TERA and so on are no exceptions. If gear didnt matter then you wouldnt have any sense of proression through the game. Skill matters a lot in some games, like TERA, BDO and pretty much any action combat game, but will never be as important as gear. What you are asking for is Gunz, so go play that.

I understand why so many in this forum are bagging out For Honor. From what I've seen so far it actually requires some skill to win fights. It doesn't appear to be for those used to out-gearing and out-levelling opponents. It's got a system they've been developing for the last four years, and though I've only played a little I think the effort shows. But it lacks polish.

i am not playing BDO for PVP. But if I was, I fair dinkum would've stopped quite a while ago...when they staggered awakenings and gimped my Kuno for months. And with all the stealth nerfs and poor server reliability (the last is a big issue for me-I get way better frame rates in other games and sometimes can't connect for more than a few minutes at a time) the moment I find a better game I'll be playing it. So far, though, BDO is still top dog on my PC. There's room for improvement, and plenty of it, but this remains a great game to play.

That's what bored me eventually in Chivalry.

Dragging, overhead rainbows and all that kind of stuff. Never understood why they didn't implement the tracers they use in its little brother Deadliest Warriors, it would solve many of these issues.

If you're a Chivalry fan, I suggest you to follow the Mordhau project.

Basically it's Chivalry, but with a clean gameplay, expurged of all that stuff that make Chivalry look more like a seizure than a fencing simulation nowadays.

And yes, they troll Chivalry a little in this video (the ballet refenrence), but that's what Chivalry has become that motivated them to launch the project in the first place.

This game has potential to be great pvp game. It has smooth combat, outstanding graphics and great world. Here are few suggestions:

1. Add diminishing returns on enchants!! There are currently none. In this game rich get richer and because there is gap which makes it less competive.

2. More pvp content in general. No just lame sieges where you need to schedule + can outnumber opponents. Like example arenas 3v3.

3. Proper class balancing focused for pvp.

This game should prioritize to pvp because there are no challenging pve content like dungeons/raids. You need put pvp first and unfortunally it lacks in this game too.

Btw it took me 10second to think suggestions. I could come up easily 100 more for fair balanced skill based pvp.

1. Considering the amount of effort that comes with enchants greater than TRI it makes no sense

2.There is a 3v3 arena that's out in KR, we will get it eventaully

3.In smaller scale PvP like a 5v5, classes are balanced. In 1v1 arena even open world every class is balanced. In larger scale PvP is when things get skewed.

Don't bring up "gear" discrepancy. I've seen a 150/200 ranger destroy 220/280 sorc before. If you really feel gear makes a big difference, why not just spend more time on your gear. Gear is supposed to make a difference, people spent time getting their gear high. In a equal skill situation of course the higher geared player generally wins. When i was 400 gs i only fought people who outgeared me.

"people who defend bdo pvp are those noobs who have no skills in any game and feel good about themselves when they win by having gear advantage. Some even reroll for getting proper class because we know half of them are broken too" <- Guess that's me. I started as Maehwa and been Maehwa ever since.

The big problem with for honor (and why it will only be a casual arena combat game) is they declined to implement dedicated servers.

I never understood why people say, "if you like X go play that instead". Black Desert's PvP is horrid and unbalanced. It does need a rework. I don't think the poster's objective was to say "this game sucks, don't play it"- but rather "BDO PvP is bad. If only it was like X". I don't think someone should think every mechanic in a game is perfect and does not need adjustments. Black Desert certainly needs a PvP overhaul, in my opinion. Of course, I have hope that the developers will fix that, as the game's popularity in Korea, Taiwan, and in the west has grown by a lot.

have you ever played a game with balanced pvp?  If so why does nobody still play it?

Yes, many games actually. The Guild Wars series is one of many examples of this. As games age, or lack future content people stop playing them. If a game doesn't have balanced PvP then it's important to change the meta or which classes are "strongest" from time to time, to give each class an advantage. The Black Desert developers are aware that their game is unabalanced as well, and wish to fix that.

i played for honor for 15 mins multiplayer and deleted it.  Very slow gameplay, dont like it at all its total shit for me lol

It's not slow once you learn your combo's chain attacks, parry's  etc. The learning curve can be steep so anyone not willing to rough it out and learn their characters strengths will probably feel the same way you do. Most classes that are slow have ways around that set back by being patient enough to take advantage of the right situation.

Bdo = Unmathced teams + Unmathced gear favoured for those who were masochist enough to grind same mobs 14hour/day. + No reward for doing pvp + Less skillcap + No proper pvp modes + Nonexcisting class balancing.

Mmo is not excuse. Wow has proper pvp system like For Honor.

Could someone explain to me why this is marketed as pvp game? This is worst game when it comes for fair play and challange.

Clearly you've never visited Muiquun.

I own both games, for honor, and bdo, love them both. You can't compare two different games on wide aspects of them plus game genres are different, out of your mind sir?
