I haven't grinded more than 2 hours straight for mooooonths. Just saying.

And for when I leveled. I did no life it yeah.  I took some time off and just grinded 7-10 hours a day till I dinged. Other than that I don't grind near as much.

If you wanna call that hardcore go ahead. But I really don't think it is. Most of this game I have spent afk.

And sometimes if I got some time off I can get myself to do a money grind for 4-5 hours. But it is very very rare and haven't done it in a good while.

And I still manage to have a steady income even when I am not playing. This week I am earning around 500m total JUST from afking. ;)

for 500m just from afking in one week your pc have to run all night long. Thats far away from casual playing because casual gamers turn the pc off after playing..😂

Whether you take time off work or play extensively during a vacation to get the grind over with or not, even if you played actively for only an hour a day anyone could be level 60 by now if they spent their time efficiently. You can earn 60-70m per day from just AFK processing alone, but if you want to take the even lazier route and only check your computer once a day you can run horses and still earn a living from that.

Granted, to get anywhere with AFK activities, you actually have to keep your game active. If you aren't even invested enough in the game to take advantage of the most obvious and easiest way of earning money and would rather complain about others who do, perhaps you shouldn't take the forums seriously enough to keep posting either.

Oh i dunno bout that. Me and my wife leave our comps on while we sleep and afk fish and let workers work. Our play consists of 1-2hrs or grinding and 1 hour of

"whatcha wanna do? i dunno, whatchu wanna do? I asked first. i asked second.....*crickets*....lets afk fish and take a bath. Okay"

But 4-5days of comps being on and we are cas's.

to all the casuals that may be reading this thread,

simply take off from work and grind for 7 hours a day until u get 60. that's a 100% normal and casual thing to do.

So take off a week and a half to two, when 60 has been easily obtainable for half a year now? I think he/she's right. You're delusional.

oh weird i guess that why lvl 60s account for such a large portion of people who play this game. Oh wait. fking barely anyone who plays this game is 60.

In my experience, a lot of people enjoy feeling "persecuted" in some way. They play games they hate and do things they hate inside those games. They constantly rage and try to ruin the happiness of others in any way they can. I'm guessing this is some weird method of stress release for them - due to issues with job, health, life, etc. Personally I work an extremely high stress job and I play games that I enjoy, that I can get lost in, as a means of getting away. I couldn't imagine the stress I would feel playing a game that stresses me out even worse than work, but I guess their minds work differently than mine does. I play BDO casually and understand that RNG is part of the game. If I lose an item it's just part of the game's mechanics.

Fake casino RNG sucks. End of discussion. If you are lucky, it will be very fun for you. For those who are unlucky, they will never advance. Never. Times and times again people lost their precious time, without getting nowhere, or backwards. Whole game design is backwards. And "RNG" is not a true RNG, like you would roll a dice. It is controlled algorithm which mostly, do not give players anything.

Game is good, without such good combat, it would die quickly, very quickly.

It is a fact well known - to those who know it well -  that nearly half the players are in the top 1%

I was in a community guild. With people that played the game very limited, as everyone had kids/wives/husbands/jobs and just general obligations. People that maybe manages to squeeze in that 30min buff a day, and not even every day.

And most of them got to 60. As that was a guild goal to reach. Was only a couple that never got there.

That all comes down to how you spend your time in the game. It takes almost no time to level to 60.

i turn off my computer. I only do afking, when i work at home on my pc. Game runs in the background minimized but over night it dont make sense for. I dont want to be focused on the game all night long, it is essential to have a break.. a real breake to enjoy the game.

You think you are somehow just smarter than everyone else that plays this game? That you are just playing better and more efficiently? Sorry to burst your bubble.

Barely anyone? There are like 20 people PER CHANNEL that are level 60.

Like 20 that are 59 and 20%+.

With the exp rates, someone could have been 60 playing LESS THAN one hour per day since release.

That's incredibly casual.

Just because I decided to grind for 40 hours in a 48 hour period, doesn't mean the other 99% of the time I've spent in the last 5 months hasn't been tabbing in, filling beer, tabbing out, or spending 11 seconds every 4 hours to change an Alt in bed, and five minutes to consume all of that energy once per day on the Nightvendor.

That, somehow, is making me completely a non-casual?

Like stated, delusional.

*different quote* "You think you are somehow just smarter than everyone else that plays this game? That you are just playing better and more efficiently? Sorry to burst your bubble. "

And you think just because some people decide to spend their time not grinding, there can't possibly be people who DO spend their time grinding, and can't possibly be 60 by now?

instead of just "working" the game to enjoy it.

What if people are having fun by working the game? Not directed at you, but I've never understood why people in this forum get so angry over how someone else has fun?

and there are what 30 channels?

600 ppl. let's say that only accounts for 1/50th of the ppl who actually are 60. So then you'd have 30,000 ppl who are lvl 60, which is absolute bullshit but you seem to like bullshit. bdo has sold OVER 1 MILLION COPIES. that is to say even if 30,000 ppl got 60, which they haven't but just being generous to your ridiculous fantasy land, that would still mean that ONLY 3% OF THE GAMES POPULATION GOT 60.

And what do we have among those 97% of ppl who didn't get 60? No, not ppl that aren't clever enough to get 60. You have among them casuals. People who don't care enough or want to put in the sizable amount of effort necessary to get 60.

you may not think it takes a lot of time or effort to get to 60, but the VAST MAJORITY of ppl who play this game disagree with you. Or else they would be 60.

you think just because some people decide to spend their time not grinding, there can't possibly be people who DO spend their time grinding, and can't possibly be 60 by now?

i'm saying the grind in this game is prohibitive to casuals. As is evident from how few 60s there are.

@Dremlock

We simply have a huge difference in our definitions of casual. Where I define it as someone who can't take it as seriously as a hardcore grinder and can only spare a few hours a day at most (plenty of time to stay competitive), you see it as someone who doesn't give a shit about the games content, stays offline for weeks at a time and only logs in to complain about not holding main rotation at Sausan every other week.

You think you are somehow just smarter than everyone else that plays this game? That you are just playing better and more efficiently? Sorry to burst your bubble.

If, as you yourself say, the vast majority of players who play this game plays it the way you've so eloquently specified, yes. If you log off the game during nights, don't even bother putting some fishing on, never bother to grind at efficient spots or look for opportunities to progress your character in the time you want to invest in the game, I can without a doubt say that I play the game better and more efficiently than you and everyone else who holds your view.

i would classify this person, among others as casual.

playing this game religiously as you've stated is not casual.

i don't mean for this to be an intervention for all you BDO addicts. There's nothing wrong with not being a casual

(there actually is. seek help)
