Hello everyone

For a little while now I've been saving up some cash for a new laptop  I have a decent desktop but where I work I can only really bring a laptop and not lug around a 2nd desktop.  I have about 3k saved up willing to go to 3500. I want something that'll push bdo on max settings with the understanding that cities will fluctuate fps. Just looking for suggestions, I have been looking at the MSI titan series but haven't done much research.

any help is appreciated

if you buy such an expensive laptop, I don't know what wrong with ur life. You're better off investing that money in a Desktop

I can give you some specs to use as a lower baseline if you'd like. I'm not a computer person, but I bought a $1300 laptop through my work (which allows payments directly out of your paycheck). I can play fairly decently on most days running 40-50 fps on low settings, and around 20-30 fps on high. I feel like this is mostly due to the game's optimization because I run other games just fine.

  • Model: Dell Inspiron 7559
  • Processor: 6th Gen Intel Core i7-6700HQ Processor (6M Cache, up to 3.50 GHz)
  • OS: Windows 10 64-bit
  • Memory: 16GB Dual Channel DDR3L 1600 MHz (8GBx2)
  • Hard Drive: 128 GB SSD (Solid State Drive) + 1 TB 5.4k HDD (1TB 5400 rpm Hard Drive)
  • Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M 4 GB GDDR5
  • Display: 15.6" UHD (2840x2160) Truelife LED-Backlit Touch Display

I wish I had just saved up money to buy a custom PC, but I like it well enough. Besides, I don't do any hardcore playing. I just casually play BDO, League (ARAMs and fun/temporary modes only. I'm not a fan of the toxic community lel), DAO, etc.

On this laptop, I have to play on lower resolutions because my FPS drops so much if I try and play in a 4k screen. I can switch to the 4k to take screenshots, but I don't like playing in it.

So yeah, these are lower spectrum stats to look at.

I recently upgraded to a Omen by HP

My system has:

  • Intel Core i5 7300HQ quad core processor.
  • 2.5GHz processor speed.
  • 8GB RAM.
  • 1TB storage.
  • Windows 10
  • 15.6 inch screen.
  • High definition display.
  • Resolution 1920 x 1080 pixels.
  • NVIDIA GeForceGTX 1050

And I can play on max settings everything turned on with no Fps issues even in towns and world bosses. Sometimes the bottom half of Heidel can be a pain but thats usually on weekends when most people seem to be on and then once its preloaded no more issues.

When I was looking at buying a new computer  I did a lot of research, as an avid gamer I obviously wanted a gaming computer, one that could handle heavy play. Before ultimately deciding on a desktop, simply put, I wasn't going to play anywhere but at home so a desktop was better for me. However, seeing your issues I can say that the GE72 6QF APACHE PRO, which is an MSI product should be able to handle BDO with some quality, and at a price tag of nearly half of your budget now I think you could go better if you wanted to. However as has been said, air flow is your number one issue as running that hard will heat up quickly. I am a huge fan of MSI however, so I totally understand your thoughts on going with them.

How do you run with no fps issues? i got a Asus, same system, besides the 1TB storage, i got 250 ssd. I'm only having 20-30 fps in the middle of Veila standing still. And my game wants to use a Intel(R) HD Graphics 630.. *sighs*, got no clue why it won't run on 60 or just close to. :-(
