Why every character on Acct is in Guild?!

I don't know if I'm missing something. A lot of games that I have played in the past didn't automatically put any newly created characters on the same account automatically in the guild you're in.

I don't want every single character in the same guild, some characters I want in a PVE guild - some in PVP etc - is there a way to have a characters be in different guilds, or the whole entire bloody family is FORCED to be all in the same guild?

Seems like somethings broken if that is the system.

Characters are bound to Families, Families are bound to Guilds.

It is how it is. If you want to be in multiple guilds, you will need multiple accounts.

So that's broken IMO - think it needs a suggestion to the Dev because in my eyes it's either a money grab (meaning you have to create a new account [pay] and gear it [pay] etc) or the Devs haven't thought it through. But thx for the answer.

Designed that way to keep people from sharing other guild secrets and politics of the game by being in their enemies guilds.

It's done this way because resources are generally tied to a family, not a character. This keeps people from spreading resources across guilds, taking multiple guild wages, etc. I imagine it would also cause problems with GVG conflicts - A "guild" would just comprise of several guilds, with only one used for war decs, so that members could swap to an alt and completely avoid the conflict.

So let me get this straight you want to be in multiple guilds have multiple contracts from these guilds and make bank off multiple guilds per day .... yeah good idea.

I kinda miss that feature from other games to.

You could have your main in a more competitive guild for endgame stuff. Than have alts in a more casual guilds for goofing around, rp, crafting or whatnot. Not to mention you made more friends and meet different playertypes.

Having this system with family bound guilds can also be a bit frustrating when it comes to PvP. Being in a normal guild, you naturally have wars and conflict going on. However, this makes it harder to level alts past 50+. Especially before you know how to play them and lack gear, you get brutally shit on in the most embarrassing ways, the second an enemy player sniffs you out lol. Think we all had the pleasure of experiencing that. Sure, you can ask for protection while leveling alts. But than you're also unable to help your guild mates in PvP on your main for 24 hours.

But sadly no way around this is BDO, since multiple guilds would be abused and exploited in so many way, mainly for silver. Being part of and devoted to one guild(not many) is one of the main features in BDO. So much content is connected to this.
