Can't see friends??

So I've had this issue with two friends. Basically, we stand in the same spot on the same server and channel and cannot see each other.  I googled and apparently we have to have both passed the skillmaster quest- which we both have, yet we still can't see each other. I'm wondering if there's any other options or maybe if it's because I'm on free trial at the moment?

Bonus question: will my progress be lost when I buy the game?

Im going to assume you are on fairly new character, being it sounds as if you are playing on a guest pass or something?

Black Desert, for new created characters, has you undergo a small series of tutorials through out your first range of levels. up to and into level 20's really.

When you are still UNDER lever 16, you will be in a world that is in the peak summer time, brightest and clearest of vision, and such.. at level 16, you are then privileged enough (aged/experienced really) to have true weather, day night cycles, the works.

As to the Players you are not seeing -- You also must progress your character up to around LEVEL 10 to SEE other players in the world. --

I am not certain the exact level for seeing other players, but its around 8, 10, 12 area.  It may only effect the very first character on that account, allowing further characters you create later immediately see other players at creation, so long as one has already progressed past that threshold level .

More than likely the problem your having.  Just keep wandering around, kill some grass beetles and weasels by direction of your black spirits quests, and you will be seeing people everywhere before you take anything to the storage :)

If you made an account via legitimate guest pass BDO offers in one way or another, the account is a true account.  Its only your login access that will be turned off if you do not purchase after the time is up.  Otherwise, you will never notice going from guest, to, uhh Black Desertian I guess... or, a Real Player!

Welcome!  Let us know if you decide to actually commit :)

If you are in the middle of a tutorial, you won't be able to see friends, even though you can group with them. This happened to us this afternoon.

I'm at level 14 now. My friend was I think level 9? 10? So that could be our problem. I hope it is- I will try tonight.

Also I am going to commit for sure ^-^ just need to get money.

Thank you both.
