Moving beyond DK...

So, about a few weeks after I started, DK was released and I abandoned my 50 Ranger to play it and get those reward achievements.     Well, i really liked the class alot and last night I finally reached 55 and decided to put it on hold a bit.     I figure without an awakening there wasn't a rush to max it out.

So now I'm looking at my other jobs and having a hard time deciding which to take past awakening.

The obvious choice is my Rng since its already at 50, but I always felt underpowered and squishy with it, and just didn't love the gameplay.     I'm not sure if this was due to my lower leveled gear (which shouldn't be as much of an issue now) or that I was just not playing it right.

The other 3 choices are based on the fact that I nabbed 10% bonus costumes for them off of the market.     I have Sorc, Witch, and Tamer all in the 20s and able to be geared pretty well much quicker than my first time around.      It would seem that witch is the obvious choice (supposedly overpowered), with Sorc next, and tamer lagging behind, according to most people's feelings on the class.

Just curious what your feelings are and which of these jobs would be most useful to have at awakening for higher level stuff.

Thanks

IF you like the DK get a go at sorc, it is similar enough and different enough and sorc are nicely powered too despite the nerf

As someone who went neck deep in Sorc, two and a half months ago and also tried out a DK I can say you will enjoy Sorc if you enjoyed DK. You might find Sorc fell limited after playing DK as they don't have the wide sweeping damage range of DK but they make up for it in other ways. If you do play Sorc, my best advice is to be aggressive as hell with them. Learn or burn.

Keep playing your DK if it is what you enjoy the most. Sure there is no rush since its awakening hasn't been released yet, but you will want as many skill points and levels as possible for when it does get released so you have more to play with when it does come out.

If you feel like you need to play an alt character then stick with a class that shares socketed equipment, imo. Dark Knight uses Attack Speed, so naturally a good alt would be your Ranger or Tamer for easy gear switching. I main a Witch, so it's awkward when I switch my gear to my DK since the casting speed my crystal set up provides does literally nothing for her. It's obviously not a HUGE deal but the difference is noticable, and when you start using more expensive crystals in your armor it will be extremely convenient unless you plan on enchanting an entirely different set.
