Getting attendance reward without going ingame?

13 posts in this topic

Posted (edited)

Hello guys!

So this is some really stupid question: Is there a way to get the daily attendance reward without actually going in game?

Well sure, this is kinds dumb to ask, 'cause what sense would it make to name the event "ATTENDANCE reward" if you don't have to "attend" the game after all - but lemme explain you: I am currently not at home (like my real home, where my glorious computer is at), so I got this this trash laptop with me, and guess what, it's not designed for gaming, meaning: It doesn't have a graphic card T.T I can log in though, select a character, but whenever I try to get into the game, it loads for a century and then gives me the classic "Connection lost to the server" thing.

I already thought of asking a friend to do this for me, but I don't wanna bother him (I am not even sure, if he still has the game installed) and account sharing is illegal.

I am aiming for the last 7 rewards and those are always the most important rewards. I don't wanna miss them out :(

Mhhh, expected that.

I have got the GameOption.txt here. Is there a way to put the graphic settings even lower so that I could get into game with this laptop by any chance?

Here is the content of said .txt file:

As far as I remember, there was a time where I could get into game with this computer, even though it lagged very hard, but I could get the reward. Can't figure out why this isn't possible now.

you can use remote desktop software like teamview to access ur computer. If you try to log in with a character thats in a city, it might be too much for the computer to handle and it will crash. Select a character that you known that is not in a intensive area or make a new character. Also turn the resolution to the lowest and crop the screen when u get in-game.

I know what you're going through. I tried to convince my company to pay me even if I didn't show up for work, but they said no. I don't get it... :P

You can try to set the definitions in the launcher itself to the lowest possible. See if it works.

So I already set the settings to the lowest possible within the launcher.

There is a GameOption.txt file in Documents though. In my recent reply, I posted my current settings. I am not sure if these settings are set to lowest aswell already.

I've misread your original post.
Tell me something. When you get the disconnect message you come back to the main screen, right? Do you press the OK prompt? If so, don't. Try the start button again.

I know nothing about the contents of that folder, I don't mess with it. However when you open the launcher there are settings (nice lil gear wheel in the top right-hand corner) that'll let you make it as low as optimization mode for graphics. It's hard to see cause it's contrasted on dark colors.

Hi!

So when I get the "Connection lost to the server" message, the only thing I can do is to "Ok (Enter)". There is literally only one option. After doing so, the game closes itself. Now this problem, "Connection lost to the server", is known to me and many other. But in this case, I guess, it's just that my computer can't handle the game and loads way too long so the game decides to kick me.

Yes, I know that it only shows OK, but sometimes (not all, that's why I'm asking) you can click again on the Start, bellow and don't reply to the disconnect as it were. When you can do that it goes back to the channel selection and it doesn't need to reload the whole game.
And yes, your guess seems to be correct. You can also try to alt+tab after the game loads and before you start choosing channel and character and go to the task manager and terminate every process that is not needed and also try setting BDO's priority to the highest. These are little differences that just might give it that little extra resource it needs.

Like others have said use teamviewer or vnc viewer to login from wherever. I believe both even have phone apps you can use to login if you're only wanting attendance rewards.
