Didn't see anyone post this on the forums but here
I don't know what "Pole:" skill is but the only modifier i can match to 604% is the pull out damage on Verdict 1

For those who forget which skill was what:
Verdict: Lancia Lustitiae = Shift+RMB
Flow: Revelation Sanctus = level 59 flow skill, hold RMB after Verdict^
Terra Sancta = S+RMB Level 58 skill
Hastiludium = W+F
Sacrum Ferit = RMB

The most interesting thing is the casting speed improvement, aside that PvE fixes that will ease our farming, but still nothing good on the tank(ish) side.

The PvE stuff is mehhhhhhhhhhhh, and I've given up altogether trying to "tank" since +20 came out :U. although being an unstoppable nuking meatwall was very much fun during +15 time that is all gone and done with :<. rest in pepperonis. I wonder how fast exactly the animations are going to be though and if they're actually going to change the animations themselves or basically just make them hyper speed bloop. This'll make for even more PvP wombo combo funtiems though I'm super excited :OOOO

yeah i went back to valk... again... i keep coming back, it's my true love.

yeah good for damage, but now you cant sit in a group of enimies with long azz super armor anymore

Watchu mean? :0. I don't think I ever used the ground stabby stabs for PvE before is it actually good (shift+rmb, I forgot the name of the skill, lustiteiatmate or something?)? :X. I've always spammed castigachuchu and the rmb thingar and things would fallover super fast bloop. Sometimes I'd use the s+rmb? but I think that's more of me pressing buttons too fast and fat fingering stuffu.

PvP wise I think I saw a video on reddit with new casting speed, and was okay-ish, still not enough to really save us from our skill quickness, but a small step in the right direction. The sad part is still that's only an overall damage increase, and in my opinion there's already way too much damage floating around, but if we convince ourselves that there's no Tank Meta, I guess it's good, at least we won't suffer taking 5 minutes to clear a pack any other class clears in 30 seconds. (this is with concerns to new areas).

SA ? what's that ? The day they'll just remove the concept, I bet Valks will be one of the few classes not really realizing it.

if you do  s+e > f > shift+rmb in a group of mobs it's a pretty decent pve skill, large aoe but not great damage. gotta buff it with the 80% crit + 20ap first

I do this sometimes in large scale PvP with the 100% but I've never done so in PvE. Will try it out tonight :<. My biggest problem with shift+rmb is that if they aren't dead at the end of the pull then it spreads all the mobs around.

So, going through these on a point by point basis.

1. Verdict: Lancia Iustitiae / Flow: Revelation Sanctus

  • PvE damage improvement is pretty minor, considering the tendency to spread mobs out in PvE, but the casting speed increase is a very welcome change, and may significantly improve its usability in PvP.

2. Terra Sancta

  • 2 changes should be coming with the update by the time we get it; namely the increase in cast-speed/damage with this update, and the change that the entirety of it will be treated as a down attack, both of which make it much more usable in PvE, and PvP, along with the (inferred) possibility of it getting a down-smash, which would make it amazing fodder for "ground and pound" type combos.

3. Blitz Stab / Ultimate: Blitz Stab

  • A minor increase in PvE damage is much appreciated, especially considering the recent buff to area of effect making it much more usable out of displacing moves like Sacrum Ferit, or Hastiludium.

4. Hastiludium

  • Another minor increase in damage to a very heavy hitting skill for PvE. It should increase our clear speed a bit in higher level content. 

5. Sacrum Ferit

  • A welcome increase on the damage of one of our bread-and-butter PvE skills for higher level content, especially areas with mobs that cannot be knocked down easily; it should shave a few seconds off of rotations on Pila Ku, and Aakman packs. 

 

Altogether, a solid set of buffs; nothing revolutionary for anything other than high-end PvE, but some very big implications for PvP regarding the cast speed of Verdict: Lancia Iustitiae, Flow: Revelation Sanctus, and Terra Sancta.

I am trained in siege warfare and I'm the top PvPer in the entire NA server. You are nothing to me but just another karma-bomber. I will kill you with thrusts the likes of which have never been seen before, mark my words. You think you can just say that to me over the forums? Think again. As we speak I am contacting my fellow Valkyries across the server, and your node-fort is being scouted right now so you better prepare for the zerg. The zerg that wipes out the pathetic little thing you call a base. You are going to be sent to the sulfur mines. I can be at any node, any time, and can kill you in over seven hundred ways, and that's just with my shield. Not only am I extensively trained in Lancia combat, but I have access to the entire arsenal of the holy college and I will use it to its full extent to wipe your miserable ass off the face of the black desert. If only you could have known what holy retribution your "clever" little statement was about to bring down upon you, maybe you would have held your tongue. Tried not posting...but...there's still some dumb stuff going on in the game.

I've been trying out DP-ish Valk (RNG keeping me from experiencing what I set out to do/build).

Anyways, I like it, I really do aside from getting two shot every now and then. Since I'm able to live longer than I should, I've been checking out the debuffs that get put on me. A lot of 100+ dot dmg out there but one debuff that really caught my eye was a -20 to Magic Defense. Which, at first I thought "oh that must be why that Wiz just 80% to zero me with just their Black Spirit Rage" (assuming...I should know by now) The point being, I'm dying quicker or just as easily while leaning towards the DP side of the game with these debuffs + dot dmg added.

Now obviously my goal was to reach a little over the 400 dp mark with the Heaven's Echo included, but after noticing that debuff, it has really discouraged me into carrying on with the goal. I couldn't go full DP to begin with since I'm not a Witch and I'd end up being a whale with no teeth, so to speak.

One way I thought to help fix this silliness was to look at Fitness training....again...(There's probably some grand-master plan that I just can't see yet but for the time being I'm gonna just write what I think could help) I'm suggesting +1 to All Defenses per rank, with the current 20 slots available, that would be +20 to all defenses by the end of it. I'm also suggesting +10 Hp recovery to every other rank, making it 100 Hp recovery passively. Now, I think I just lost you but hear me out. There's a lot of extreme damage floating out there, and for a DP valk that's sitting there with shield up (most of the time), to then get all these dot damage added on top is a bit insulting. I get that you don't want us to live forever, but I'm not gonna sit here and accept that you want people to just run around nuking each-other and then what? Live indefinitely (I'm looking at those Wiz/Witch monstrosities you've created). Yes, there's the Red Nose Armor and I do intend to use it after all the other parts (of my build) have been taken care of, and there are also add-ons for recovering Hp but those should be considered extremely situational and you might not be able to use some of them in the heat of the moment (10v1....yea, that happens...which I'm totally fine with). Keep the 10 HP per rank and that should take care of it.

Probably rename it something else like Valkyrie Training...or something to sever the tie with those warriors (I still don't see what makes use connected...is it that we use shields? lol) Also the fact that I didn't think about anything to help their Fitness Training...sorry???

100 Hp recovery passively + RN Armor + Noble spirit buff would make for a serious survival mode. There are also crystals to add to the hp recovery madness and some crystals that are not yet on NA/EU.

The 100 Hp recover passive wouldn't be much help to the Valks that stick to AP build, but I'm not denying it could probably save some lives here and there. It also serves to combat the serious amount of dot damage that gets laid on DP valks, which is about 400+ if you live long enough.

You're probably thinking: What happens when the game expands the level cap? I'd say, just continue with the pattern, allowing DP valks to move away from the Red Nose Armor and back onto Tree. Let other classes use the Red Nose Armor (I'm thinking DKs could use it, or Rangers, tamers....Musa/Mae....runners/chasers/seekers/death-bringers or herald of death). 

I said I'd ask just to see: Can Red Nose Armor get a +5 increase to the DP it offers? It would compete against Tree, could probably raise the MP price back to 95mill, would increase Artisan Memory sales for a little while......I didn't pull the +5 out of my ass, It actually has value to a setup I was working on.....best to just think it through because I'm not telling.

Skills that could still use a little work (searching for more dmg as a DP valk):

Glaring Slash - Adding Air Attack/Smash maybe? Float on the second strike, leaving the stiffness on the third for anyone still left standing. Still wide open so it wouldn't hurt with these upgrades.

Severing Light - Nothing. Just wanting to say I liked using it for the one day that I did. Chaining it with Divine Power and Ultimate was fun. Two completely open skills but worth if you're able to land them and not get CC'd at any point during. I obviously pulled my points back out of it after using it though.

Shinning Dash - Since you're able to use this while in Lancia, I expect a bit more "mmph" or rather, reliability needs to go up somewhere.

Judgement of Light - I know this just got an upgrade but honestly, it doesn't matter. This skill is still a death trap, and I honestly felt like an idiot using it again. Also, not able to use while in Lancia which reduces the likelihood of it ever being used. 

I was looking at a Warrior skill that would be perfect for replacing JoL. It's called Piercing Spear on the Warrior skill tree and I feel like that matches the Valkyrie persona perfectly. I'm not gonna talk damage, but I could see this as a skill that would float a single target and then with the Black Spirit Rage applied, it could do a splash damage with float added (like the Wizard skill: Hell FIre...in that sense). I would actually accept the horrendous slow-motion that comes with the current JoL with this skill. And if you could use it while in Lancia, it would give off the feeling of sacrificing all of your defense to then deal damage and CC. Probably after a redesign, give it the name "Lucem de Enslar" or something....

Flow: Lucem Fluxum - The one skill most valks have chosen not to use. I like it, but it could use Invincibility since it is an airborne skill making it the second skill on the Valkyrie skill tree to have this utility plus I like the CC it offers when it does land. I have gotten CC'd before and during the use of this skill. The change would allow us to compete with Ranger's [Flow: Call from Sky], Berserker's awakened skill: [Giant Leap], Tamer's awakened skill; [Flow: Cloud Ride], and Dark Knight's [Shadow Bullet: Air].

I'm sure the argument would probably be, "It's not jumping high enough," but my counter to that is, "It's got real armor on." lol

Anyways, one more skill connection that could be added is Righteous Charge to Flow: Lucem Flux with the use of RMB after. I'm aware of the RMB of pre-awakened skill tree, but if it remains locked then this connection should be available. Not that it'll look cool or anything but just another way to save up on Promptness which does have reliable CC.

There's also Add-ons that are, in my opinion, mis-matched...really screws with the flow of defensive power like for example, higher evasion percentages on pre-awakened skill, rather than an awakened skill like Promptness.

Just more of my 2 silver to add to the tiny bucket of what to do about Valkyrie.

does anyone else feel that pve damage was never an issue?

 

I feel like the mechanical deficiencies of our class's clear speed are completely ignored (i.e decent AOE and mobility from pack to pack)

I may hazard gravity boost is the damage done by the pull effect of our "suck suck sucky" :D
