2 cpu's better FP$ ?

i wonder if a pc with 2 cpu's will have more FPS than a single cpu (all 3 cpu's should be same and have same gpu like a gtx 1080 so the gpu won't be a bottleneck )

Still 0 videos on yt or maybe i didn't found it :/

Unlikely but more importantly it depends on what CPUs we're talking about.

BDO is heavily reliant on good single thread performance, i.e high core frequency and high IPC performance.

haha Id really like to see a test of that! I could imagine Multi CPU support would probably even work better than Multi Core support :D

Multiple CPU's creates different bottlenecks. For example, in multiple CPU each CPU is assigned its own local memory this is called a NUMA node. Any time a CPU needs to access memory out side of its local memory ie: the game needs to access a texture that has been loaded into memory by a different CPU there is a latency hit. Software that is not written to take this into consideration will not perform well, I am willing to bet that you would see a performance drop as a result of multi CPU usage in BDO.

On the flip side. From what I have read, BDO threads very well up to 6 cores. If you were to pick up a 6+ core CPU (8 would be preferable in this situation to give room for the OS to function) and disable hyper threading you would positively see a large performance bump. You may even be able to fully utilize some of the higher end graphics cards.

I am hoping to do this in July when I upgrade next. If you want I can let you know. ;)

wait, why would you want to disable hyperthreading?

No it wouldn't help.

CPUs, that support that option have low IPC, aka low single core performance.

Now if you could use 2 or 4 CPUs in "RAID" it would get interesting since it would be making performance 2x or 4x faster. But that option doesn't exist and probbably never will.

BDO wan't to have single core clocked at 120GHz, then you will have stable FPS:
