5000 Hours Playtime reward

Well i claimed the 5k reward like 4 days ago. I normally dont whine/complain/salty stuff but i kind of feel this is av bit lame. I have ad many others spent cash on this game besides the actual purchasing sum. To then not get the same rewards as newer players i feel is av bit odd...

I just want some information from the devs, since no information and rumors spreading is not good for anyone.

.... Really? ok so this is all kinds of stupid that you are not giving this to your most loyal customers... I mean seriously some people that just claimed this 2 days ago are going to be super pissed... I got it quite a while ago and am angry.

 

Fix this... Unacceptable customer service.

This is the best/worst troll attempt I've seen a game publisher use on their loyal customers.

First they announce that they remember you as being loyal, appreciate your support when the game was almost dying with P2W hate but loyal players remained, and then booom "we are kidding you guys, our most loyal players won't get any compensation on our loyalty reward trollololol! Sincerely Kakao, hope you want to continue support us." :P 

This honestly made my day. So unprofessional, yet so funny in a tragic way.

Just claimed mine on the weekend, after having it sit on my rewards screen for over a month, boy do I feel stupid. This would have been nice to have considering I'm on vacation all next week and could take advantage of the combat XP.

Guess I'll find a new game to play? One that gives a shit about its loyal playerbase.

We understand that a lot of players have already accepted the 5000 Hours Playtime reward before we changed it during our maintenance, which caused you to miss out on the nice new rewards. We'll be sending out the new items that you missed out to your in-game mail ( B ) soon, so that you can enjoy them as well.

Unfortunately, there has been some internal miscommunication. We have been informed, that no items will be sent out. We will update you about this issue as soon as we have more information.

Too late, its already been pushed to Twitter that it would take time to receive them.  Its only right that each person over 5K hrs receive 5K GM Blessings for this one.... =)

I'm assuming that whoever is making the call is purposefully trying to sabotage Black Desert. 

There is no other explanation. I'm imagining someone who has stock in another MMORPG or a similar scenario. Maybe someone paid to work there to make sure Kakao doesn't earn their potential profits?

Why did you even switch the reward after most loyal players already took it? Like, what the ----- is the logic? "Hey you, thanks for supporting us and playign our game, and as a reward we give you a ----- you while we help new players out ;)"

Has happened a few times. Is a bit saddening. 

Can't the people who already claimed it just get sent the items other than the pet?

Fire the guy who changed his mind about sending out the rewards to people who already claimed it.

He is so anti-consumer that he does not belong in a business where customer relations should be one of the highest priorities. I would not doubt whatsoever that whoever made this decision is the same person who has been making many of the anti-consumer decisions that have been impacting the game as of late.

I somehow think Korea hates us, they treat Kakao as their btches, give em the info late and not giving a single fck about how bad they look and the bad image we have of them, it's prolly their fault.

I bet when Kakao asked em if we'd get the rewards they were like. . . "what? Retroactive solution? Nah, too much work; GTFO"

I'm usually not the type to complain here, but this is downright unprofessional to say the least. Sending out the updated 5000 hour rewards to players that already acquired those is an obvious and unmistakably the only moral choice. Even meeting half way and not giving second pair of pets is acceptable, but simply punishing your most loyal players with withholding the Kamasylve and Book of Combat (that are unmistakably better than previous rewawrd) is going to make a lot of people mad for no reason whatsoever.

Even more so since you have already made an announcement that you will send these to players. Backing down on that promise now would be the worse customer service and management decision possible. I play this game almost every day and just this inconsistency and poor judgement is making me second guess my stay here. I have never had any issues with Peal Abyss / Kakao up until now. I sincerely hope that this yet another internal miscommunication.

NA/EU is not their main market, so ofc they don't care.

If this is the case, Kakao could have handled this A LOT better by simply telling us what is happening. 

If they don't communicate, we have no one to blame other than Kakao. The most frustrating aspects of playing Black Desert is that Kakao rarely communicates. 

If someone is in charge of PR/communications/community management, it falls on them to keep us updated and make us feel like we are being heard/interacted with. 

A simple "I'm so sorry this is not in game yet. I am personally trying to resolve this with utmost priority" would go a long way verses "Unfortunately, there has been some internal miscommunication. We have been informed, that no items will be sent out. We will update you about this issue as soon as we have more information."

One makes us feel like something is being done. The other is a statement that makes it sound like they have made the final call already, and they are just trying to find information on the issue instead of suggesting they are discussing changing their stance on the issue.

Also, hire people who have perfected the art of diplomacy for such an important PR position. 

Perhaps they don't pay enough for the position, and their current employees simply don't care. Perhaps it is a management problem. Perhaps the person working PR is awesome, but the people making these decisions are so out of touch with running an MMORPG that they don't realize how awful their decisions are. 

We don't know - and that's a big part of the aggravation. 

Ask anyone about Blizzard's customer service and players rave about how well they have been treated. It can be done; it has been done. 

Kakao needs to get their act together or this game is going to drown via gamers spreading tales of how poorly the company treats its loyal playerbase.

I really wanted the Shudad Armor (I'm so jealous of those that have it lol) to be for ten thousand but these new rewards are so much better than they were! Thank you so much :D

I miss it, and I'm honestly at the point where I'm ready to give up BDO's housing just to feel like I'm being treated like a valued customer again. 

I left WoW because BDO has beautiful graphics and housing. 

However... being treated like this has soured my BDO immersion. 

It's like being with a pretty girl who mistreats you. At some point, you're going to have had enough.
