Take your time, it's a marathon not a sprint

Get a few workers gathering potatoes and wheat, make beer

Theres so many things...

First off, make sure you do the main story quest on your first character, don't get powerleveled. You want the inventory slots and CP.

Second off, don't delay getting workers and setting up your node empire. Get the corn, wheat, potato nodes around velia and heidel early on and invest a good amount of time into cooking beer. DO THIS. You might be thinking, MEH that's not important, but sir, I assure you it is.

Third, enchanting in this game is one of the more annoying aspects. Make sure you read a few Failstacking and gear upgrading guides before you make an error youll hate yourself for later on.

Fourth, find a class you like and STICK TO IT. If you get 3 classes up to 57, youre gonna be sad and burnt out from grinding once you realize that your main could be 58 and on its way to 59. Understand that grinding is a HUGE part of this game, and if you are unhappy with the combat mechanics of your class, you will go insane trying to grind out levels and money.

Fifth, cook beer. Yes I said this twice, its that important.

Any questions, feel free to ask! Good luck and welcome to BDO!

It IS a SANDBOX MMO and if you do not get yourself a goal to set everytime, you WILL get burned out because you think you got "nothing" to do

I would like to say few more things on top of others; When you discover something new ~it can be literally anything~ search it on google and check what information you can find about it. Lets say, you got a cooking quest, it asks you to cook Meat Stew. You need meat, flour, cooking wine and mineral water right. At this point you should check what is the best way to get meat and flour (you can buy other 2 items from cooking npcs). First of all you can check marketplace. And you will quickly notice meats are mostly sold on the market. So it would be better idea to gather them yourself. After you are done with the quest also check what else you can do with Meat and Flours.

That was a super basic example but with this way you can expand your knowledge about items, recipes, game mechanics etc. easily. And it will pay off in long term. Maybe you don't need ' Meat ' at this very moment, but when you are in need of Meat, you will know what to do.

Have fun !

TAKE.YOUR.TIME

never feel you need to be like 240ap / 290dp etc etc to be competitive. If you join the right guild you will be competitive with similar guilds with similar gearscores.

When enchanting never be too hasty and make sure you have backups (not doing this made me rage quit for 3months)

When you feel burned out from grinding, then try other things lifeskilling, trading, hunting etcetc.

Do as much main quests as possible to build your CP and energy, ready for node investing to make passive income.
