How to farm skill points

I find myself constantly outleveling my skill points since i always run with a ton of combat exp buffs. i've heard people say to grind manyshas for sp, and that has helped some, but there has gotta be a better place. somewhere with decent drops and exp. maybe soldiers grave?

thoughts?

places with many mobs. tbh sausans and pirates are probably the best places overall, whether its XP, SP or silver... for SP you want to grind solo though, which is not always that easy at such contested spots.

Soldier's Grave is bad exp overall.  I did most of 57-58 there.  The money drops were okay, but you fill up wieght kinda quick because the trade drops are heavy and you get lots of armor and weapons there.

However, I did make a ton of skill points there.  about one skill ding for every 1.5% of exp.  I think it's because you actually hit them more, harder to kill mobs in my experience have given more skill points, but you get less exp.  The undead at soldier's grave are tough for their level and there's lots and lots of Violents as well.

If you can get your speed up in a good rotation, the exp isn't terrible, but it won't compare to Sausans or Rogues/Manes.

I wouldn't go to Sausans expecting a lot of skill points, especially if you group.  If you're a the level to be doing Manshas though, maybe Hexe would work out?  I ground 51-55 there on most characters pretty fast and the Witch's Earring drops are a nice bonus.

i'm lvl 59. i only do manshas very occasionally for the skill point farm and chance at ogre ring. now that i have like 1100 sp i haven't done manshas in weeks.

i've thought of sausans too but i just -----ing hate that place; can't get anything done there what with all the impromptu pvp, trying to find a rotation, and such. otherwise i'd absolutely go there for the sp farm and the money farm, kill 2 (pretty big) birds with one stone.

if harder to kill mobs give more exp, then cadry and centaurs would give a ton of sp....hmmm will have to test that tonight. thank you. will let you know how that turns out.

agreed, you hit the nail right on the head also about the contested part.... finding a rotation at sausans is cancer. pirates isn't quite as bad in that sense but then you're stranded in the middle of the ocean and i get anxiety not having my usual freedoms

My experience at sausans is totally different.  Pirates is decent though.  On a lark i went back to soldier's grave, made 4 skill dings in an hour.  About twice what I was getting at bandits, anyway.

How fast you farm sp de0ends on how fast you kill mobs. So by proxy it depends on your class as well as where you are farming.

Bandits is slow sp for most classes. On mae I make it alright.

You wanna be at sausans

there are diminishing returns for sp just as there is for exp, so you should stay well clear of mansha or the like

That's interesting, because I clear sausan faster, much faster than soldier's grave, but i make more SP at the grave.  Maybe i'm just seeing what I want to, or maybe you are only guessing at how it works without actually knowing.  Can't tell for sure.

I believe it is based on the amount of damge you are dealing total. Ive never been to soldiers grave so i cant comment on that.

Total, or total per mob?  Because if it's total per mob, that would explain why i'm getting better at the Grave than Sausans.  Sausans on average have way less HP than the undead at the Grave, so it takes more damage to kill them.  Though i'm basing that on kill speed (can two shot a crowd of Sausans if they giants aren't there, frenzied skeletons take a third attack, even with criticals), so maybe their DR is just higher and they have the same HP.

Honestly don't know enough about it to do anything but guess.
