With all the negatives, I want to drop a big ole positive for the GMs and CMs. A good friend of mine got her account hacked. The blew up her tet weapons and sold them, blew up all her accessories, even combined her pets together. After only a day and a half of back and forth through support, not only did they restore EVERYTHING (minus the dogs, they are still trying to figure out what to do about that) but they tracked down who did it, found it to be malicious harassment, and banned those responsible. 

In light of the many minor issues here and there, when a big issue comes up, they don't mess around and I want to sincerely thank kakao for stepping up and resolving this in a timely manner.

We should have a 2nd password in game when you press start to avoid stuff like this.

4 - 6 digit code will be enough.

We were discussing that after it happened in guild discord chat. An authenticator really is a necessary thing these days, I hope we get one soon.

My MMO passwords are on a USB stick because they are long enough and arbitrary enough I can't ever remember them.

That's my suggestion.

being in ITNA I have a different password for every single account I have... when I had information security classes made me realize how easily it is to crack or steal a password these days with how people come up with passwords..

So I salute you, on using a 24? long arbitrary password...

so all i have to do is give a friend my password and make him try PENs . if he fails i can always contact suppport. good to know

if you fill wrong PIN over 3 times, account will be locked!!

Account once locked, you can no play anymore

Never like to hear of hacked anything, but do love hearing how the GM's (or whoever) go to BAT for the person hacked.

Glad your friend had her problem solved! I too hope for a second password pin, or maybe mobile phone authenticator. It's almost needed with today's technology. :/

Great news. Always have different passwords among your accounts. Never use the same password your email has. I just don't get why would anyone do such thing, you are not going to get rewarded for doing such thing.

Why would they blow up  the gear and then sell it? That seems a bit strange... Why not just deleting it?

And someone who is actually smart enough to figure out a passwort wouldn't be so dumb to just login to his account with the same IP... and without the same IP it's almost impossible to tell if the person really is in charge for this.

Dunno sounds like a really weird story to me. But if it's true... well ye gj then Kakao.

Password wise, my friend also had unique passwords for each account. The person responsible just has that much hatred. We know who is responsible, as we've already had people telling us the hacker was framed for it. There was a recent falling out and it very much was a malicious attack on my friend (who incidentally tried to frame someone else with the name given to the smashed together dogs.)

Even more telling that my friend was hacked is that said friend doesn't do gear enhancements anymore. My friend set up lifeskill productions to make silver and straight up buy already enhanced gear.  My friend does not enjoy the stress of failing enhancements so buying gear already enhanced is better.

As for why sell it? I'm guessing people in guild needed those pieces, and the ones not needed were trashed.

Great to see others getting to see this sort of response, super cool attitude and just plain style out of this support team. Circumstances are horrible here, but still looks like another case of solid and strong support.

I have same experience with supportteam . Most of them are supercool, fast
 + friendly and they help .

Especially GM Altira and GM Horizon are to be named as they are doing an outstanding job .
