Ending the level 10 node debate

All the hidden stats and lack of info makes this a very frustrating game all in all.

I guess it's the korean way of making mmorpg's

Even if they did work as intended 

 

still much better ways to invest energy and cp

 

and for that reason alone i removed all my grinding nodes

Pretty sure Big and Shiny already proved that node level means nothing... AWHILE ago.

That's Bigandshiny's data posted there, without attribution. Not sure why it's being re-posted, given that the original thread has multiple replies from GMs in it...

Sadly this data was collected months ago. In a game with hidden things stuff could change and we wouldn't know. 

They never really lied. They said it was "working as intended". We just don't know what the intention is cuz hidden lul

Mm no, they lie all the time. Even saying it's working as intended is a lie, since the tooltip tells players it does something it does not. Telling us it's "working as intended" is rather deliberately misleading if the stated intention is false.

To be fair, a year ago it was affirmed by a dev that node investment was not finished system. For some reason players did not want to believe this and so this issue has dragged on and on. It certainly does not help that kakao NA employee's consistently make up shit.

They have a good excuse tho, sample sizes to test anything in this game have to be unrealistically big, so we're unable to do proper ones, for example, lets say a lvl 10 node gives twice the chance for yellow rarity items, so you go from a 0.20% chance to a whooping 0.40%, you'd need millions of kills and hundreds if not thousands of actual drops to notice it, but hey; its WORKING AS INTENDED.

What a waste of such a cool feature.

I hate the fact they use pseudo mystery around game mechanics, it hides non functioning designs and delay any possible feedback on a bug or a balance problem.

You have to do a plethora of tests to show what they did because they are hiding behind the horrible stance: "We change this but we can't tell you what we did, so you're probably just experiencing what's meant to be."

Good way to pile up problems going under radar.

Fix that node investment. maybe one time give a F about us the players, that give u the money for your PAYCHECKS.

So many huge bugs in that game, and the node invset system is broken for over a year now and nothing is changed.

Best way to lose customers is to lie and just dont care about them, and about your product  :)

Indeed and again this should go public on news, so they feel the real presure.

The node investment doesnt work, not getting more trash loot, or any other items more with the node. as to "rare drops" its all rng based anyways even if you dont have the node you getting the item dropped.

"RNG-based" just means that there is a random number generator that outputs a pseudorandom number, which is then checked against a threshold probability of success to determine whether a process succeeds or fails.

It does not mean that the probability of success for rare drops is the same at all node investment levels.

1 month ago i had way better drops from crescent and node wasnt invested at all and all mos were rank c... now lvl 6 node rankA+ and way way way worse drops.  waste of energy and cp.

You can use small samples like this all you want, you have to go out and test it yourself. My own personal feelings I get WAY more soiled rings and scrolls at crescents with a lvl 7 node than I do with a lvl 0 node. Try each for a few weeks instead of a few hours and you will notice a difference.

Nope... Just tens of thousands... But those drops are more likely in 0,0X range, so you are right about million as sample size... :D

Has your level increased in this past month? I was getting far better drops at crescent when i was 58 and 59 since I got to 60 and mobs went green my drop rate has decreased dramatically....Got the node at 10 and S rank on all 3 mobs there....

I been grinding Shadows of Gahaz and before my node was level 10 i got 3 Seraps necks in 5% of my level. Level 10 node and 15% of my level later...NOT A SINGLE NECK.

A couple of months ago I took the plunge and gave up my Fogans node. Since then I have had 2-3 times the scroll drops and more seraps so I am convinced that node investment at any level is broken. I don'e even connect the node now unless it drops a lot of trade items.

Yeah completely anecdotal but I got my one seraps at fogans while unconnected and I got 3 seraps at nagas with a node level of 4 or less.  cadry is rank 1 and i got a drop off the elite there as well.  Since fogans and nagas have been lvl 10 i have gotten 0.  I leveled both basilisks and crescents to 10 as soon as the xpac came out and have never gotten a belt or ring.  The drop rates were so bad I gave up and went to pirates to level and now im grinding pila and sulphur, im scared to lvl them up to 10 for the same reason but i feel like i have to.  Got one map piece drop so far and that was at node lvl 3

Except the evidence is ALL one way. I haven't heard anyone saying they have better rare drops as they invest. As I said, I HAD invested nodes for a long time but when I gave them up I instantly noticed a much higher drop rate that simply can't be explained by rng. I haven't been gathering data but when drops triple you notice. There comes a point when the evidence that is gathered becomes statistically significant and I think we passed that a long time ago (which is what persuaded me to take the plunge and release my nodes)

They did lie, a long time ago a streamer did an interview with them and essentially they said "yes investing in nodes gives more drops", the streamer made a followup blatant question along the lines of: so I'll have a higher chance of getting an ogre ring at manshas or a witch earring at hex? And they said yes.
