Daum needs to acknowledge the MAJOR issues with their servers

Why I think them not bothering to respond on these issues works well cause afterall less than 5% of people will actually quit and they are the people that brought zero pearls so no loss. Instead people still belive they will fix this? nope not happening wake up and smell the coffie Kakao does not care cause they keep getting our money reguardless why bother fixing servers?

PCGamer might be worth tipping off since they had a few stories about Dremlock recently.

I find the "fix your pc" suggestions amusing.

A short story: so for most of a year I just afk fished and occasionally grinded here and there. I did not play very actively. I don't recall which channel I played on after they did whatever they did with servers (I wasn't paying any attention), but it wasn't laggy inasmuch as a fisherman would notice anyway. I then decided to play a little more, ended up on M5 somehow and noticed a new thing called desync. This had never happened to me before and became very aggravating when I tried autolooping on a couple of occasions and finally figured out why that feature just didn't work. Fun.

Fast forward a couple months, a friend is invited to a guild and eventually I join so I can help them with guild missions. I go to a couple node wars, and it is a complete trainwreck of lag I'd never seen before. Enemy pushes are announced by players running in place in our base for a solid minute before rubber banding back out a mile down the road. Flame towers go from 100% to 50% inside a huge lag spike. Obviously players die left and right without seeing who or what hit them. It would be pure comedy if people weren't investing their time and energy into these cooperative efforts. Even if you win, you wonder if it was just because the other guild couldn't do anything in the lag.

This is experienced by everyone in both guilds, who of course all need to "fix their PCs". I am honestly curious what exactly you'd have people do who are running on Haswell processors with SLI'd 1080s and suffer no lag in any other competitive multiplayer game. Time to upgrade, I suppose.

Anyway I appreciate the list of channels to blacklist.

Here is the issue when theres lag spikes not everyone says they are lagging and even many times people cry lag im not lagging so the question is what is going on? may not even be the game servers at all just the huge US exchange server cognetco loseing everyones packets randomly like it does for many games that use free to play cheap to run servers.

Indeed, it is not a problem on the olvia server. Also there seems to be a strong correlation between server problems and certain channels. I wish someone had the answers, but as players we cannot see the locations and hops of each player to each individual channel to interpret the data. Since kakao and pa are unable to fix this issue, it falls upon the players to find what channels work for them or sadly, get frustrated or quit. Perhaps this will get fixed since this is a problem that has happened before in BDO's life. We can only pray.

I attribute kakao bending to player pressure from bad press in gaming sites about the t5 and costume debacle after launch. Well, that and the massive chargebacks.

On the note of elions blessings. I'm pretty sure most people use loyalty ones. I have over 50 of them via loyalty. I'd be pretty suprised if people actually pay money for those things commonly.

also.

These known reverse proxy channels: B1, S3, S5, C1, C5, M3, M5, VA3, VA5 are mainly the channels having issues with long periods of lag/desync at the moment.

Avoid the above channels and the game is mostly playable just fine. There is still slight lag on other channels during primetime but other then that they are fine. But all the channels listed above are garbage.

pls acknowledge kakao.

Ug, good to know. My horse training attempts have been a total waste all week because I somehow keep putting myself on C5 or M5. Thanks for the info!

Meanwhile, there was desync at the PA hosted tournament, so presumably even the Korean ISPs just can't handle BDO.

If this is the case, it's still on them to fix their shit cause if Korean internet simply can't handle it.. well, yanno.

I found this, looks like it was posted a bit ago but seems like everyone that does this method ends up fixing their Lag issues. my home channel is V4 but it seems like I'll be forced off it,despite it being my guild's home channels.http://forum.blackdesertonline.com/index.php?/topic/134486-possible-connection-issue-fix-w-reverse-proxy-channels/

Will update it with my own result once I've gone through what they've suggested to do.

I'm honestly surprised the cms aren't doing more...people are quitting over this and a big part of why is the complete lack of communication from kakao.  Laziest publisher I've ever seen, ffs they can't even roll out patchnotes on time

I love it when you kids start throwing random numbers with no actual facts. Yo guys are such geniuses. But you have a point though, taking the percentage number out of the whole post and all.
