Just a shot in the dark... but if you "blew" a strip of RAM, then likely something else in your machine suffered an issue too. And given that the issue doesn't rear it's ugly head until you boot into something requiring your gfx card... First thing I'd do is remove your GFX card and see if the game loads and executes properly using the motherboard's gfx interface (it'll likely run like crap, but it's just a troubleshooting step).

Have you by chance tried the file repair option? Uninstalling and re-installing would only replace the base/core files. However, at the time your system tanked, config files that might have been corrupted at the time might not be fixed or replaced since they're dynamically created. Using the Repair option might fix that.

IF it is a config issue, then deleting just the My documents BDO folder will fix it.
alt+Ctrl+del look at background processes, if something starts like that & dies like that its usually due to a process conflict issue. (or use event viewer, will tell you right away what the issue is, then find the process via cmd prompt > tasklist)

yeh i tried this earlier before i reinstalled, nada!!!

also i uninstall with a power app, so it deep searches for everything linked to whatever software and proper shreds everything. So usually an uninstall gets everything

this prob wont help but
Go to your BDO installed folder, Find a folder named PAZ, cut & paste it somewhere else (you'll need it later)
Then delete folders:

C:\Users\[User]AppData\Local\BlackDesertOnline (will need to show hidden files.)
My document > BDO folder
then uninstall BDO via control panel
Go to website, log in, download the current bdo installer
Install it
run it for a few seconds, then stop it.
Move that PAZ folder back into the BDO folder location you removed it from in the first place,
Run updater again Should spike to 30+mb at some point instead of downloading at 5mb'ish

Also add Black desert to your antivirus excluded folders

Try closing all unrelated/side .exe. some times BDO comes into conflict with them. (✿◡‿◡)

The ram problem could of screwed up the pagefile.sys, try rebuilding it.

Right click on my computer, select properties, advanced system settings, setting next to performance.

Then advance tab

Under virtual memory, select change.

Select no paging file.

Rebooting will clear the pagefile, then go back and restore it by setting it to allow system managed size.
